“Darlene and her husband provide a safe and caring environment. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that our fur baby was in good hands. Darlene is wonderful about maintaining communication and occasionally just sending a photo so you know everything is OK. Our little guy is a handful and it appears that she was able to handle his quirks with ease. I would recommend Darlene without hesitation.”

“Destiny did a great job sitting for our 2 little rug-rats. When she sent me the picture of them, they looked just like they do when they're at home. Although they were very ecstatic to see us when we returned, I don't think they would have minded if we didn't come back. Thanks Destiny :)”
“Alex took such great care of my dog! He provided plenty of updates, including photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog came home happy, well-exercised, and clearly well-loved.”

“Andrea and her family were absolutely wonderful to our elderly pup during his first stay with them. They were extremely attentive to his behavior and needs, and totally proactive in sending me photos and reports on his stay. When I arrived to pick him up, I could see how well they had connected with him through their warmth and kindness. We are very grateful to them and already looking forward to his next visit!”

“Laura was a huge help this past weekend while we were visiting the Ithaca area, agreeing to watch our pup, Beau, somewhat last minute after our original pet sitter fell through. She took Beau on a hike and sent great pictures, which really made us feel at ease. When we came to pick him up he seemed very content and like he had had a great time. Thank you, Laura!”

“Rose was great and very easy to deal with. She took great care of our Griff and he loved playing ball and was tired out. I would definetely reccommend her. Very friendly and appreciative and loves animals.”

“This was the best Rover experience for me! Susan made sure my dog is safe and feels comfortable. My dog easily gets nervous with strangers, but she got used to the new environment faster than normal. I felt like Susan is really good with handling dogs too because she has great amount of experience with dogs. I really appreciate her updates, photos, and all the accommodations she has made for us. Thank you!!😊”

“What can I say? Ashley & Brian feel less like dog sitters than a second family for our pup. The moment we arrive, he launches out of the car to greet Brian – we can go away with total confidence that our guy is being thoughtfully cared for and loved. The daily reports with photos are always a highlight for us and leave us feeling comfortable and able to relax while we are away. There is no one we trust more, and we can’t recommend them highly enough!”

“Riya is the best. Barkley felt instantly comfortable with her and her pup, Archie. She was so kind to help us on short notice. She took great care of Barkley, sent photos, and gave us the perfect amount of communication. Highly recommend her and will definitely connect with her again!”

“Hanna and Ian provided an actual Small Dog Sanctuary! It’s a beautiful safe environment for small dogs to play and chill and just be happy! I received lots of pictures and updates to let me know that Leroy Brown was so well cared for. That kind of peace of mind is priceless! I would 100% recommend Hanna and I will definitely be using again!”

“Monica was amazing with our dog! He came home happy, healthy, and was clearly well taken care of. He also had a great time with their dog. I will most definitely use her services again!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life from puppies to rescues! I've also been a grooming salon manager in Ithaca for 7 years. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I'm now a stay at home mom missing my daily dog visits! I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 3 year old lab grey hound mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 2 year old Irish terrier mix who ha unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I'm willing to bathe and groom but it just depends on your dogs hair and size because I do not have a grooming area set up yet in my home, but I'm willing to talk about it! I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I’ve boarded my dog with Dawn several times, and will continue to board him there. Dawn is flexible with last minute bookings and drop off / pick up times. I had surgery and needed someone to care for my dog immediately, Dawn accepted right away, communicated with me everyday, sent pictures and videos and even sent my pup home with a toy that he liked at her house. It gave me peace of mind to know that he was well cared for while I was recovering.
