I currently have one pet: a 5-year-old Beagle-mix named Bailey. My family had cats, dogs, and other animals as pets throughout my childhood, so I have always been around animals. I was a part of Service Learning in college and completed over 300 hours of service at a humane society in Florida for the program. As an advanced handler, I completed specific training for handling larger dog breeds and successfully bonded with and helped train dogs of all sizes. In addition to caring for cats at the humane society and having cats as pets, I also have experience caring for feral colonies and participating in a TNR (trap and release) program to vaccinate, spay/neuter, and provide other medical treatment to feral cats. From the timid animal who needs a gentle approach to the wild pet who just needs some exercise, I’ve experienced the whole spectrum.
