“Vivian was absolutely incredible. My dog, Timba, is reactive and very wary of new people. She warmed up to Vivian extremely quickly and I could tell from the photos Vivian sent that she was very happy and comfortable! I was nervous to use a new walker while I was out of town, but Vivian kept me updated with photos every 5-10 min during the walks (in addition to the rover card!). I will absolutely be booking with her again.”

Samana is so friendly and accommodating, and she was extremely punctual and sent us lots of picture and videos from her walks with Ollie. She’s a very responsive communicator and we felt very comfortable with her taking care of our fur baby. We will definitely be re-booking with Samana!”

“Made a mistake in my booking and she went the extra mile to make it work and make sure my fur baby was still taken care of. Will definitely have her walk my dog again”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Edmonton
These ladies were amazing! Rosie absolutely loved her walks with them. Communication was excellent, they were reliable, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I always felt confident that Rosie was in great hands. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of her!

Aydan was a fantastic dog walker. My dog is a bit shy/anxious and Aydan really paid attention to what she needed, made sure she was comfortable, and shared little updates when my dog started to get more confident on walks. Aydan was reliable and communicated well. I would absolutely trust her to care for my dog again.

I'm so happy with Sal's services. I was out of town for a few days and my husband was working long hours, so we needed someone to come over and walk our dog. He did so right on time both days and even sent me a picture of my dog after the walk. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in good hand. Will definitely rebook in the future!

10/10 ❤️ First time using rover and I may have shed a tear watching my pup walk off with someone else on this beautiful day.. LOL. But, with some physical limitations I had to call in reinforcements (which clearly wasn’t easy for me). When they arrived home my dog was smiling so big, playing, being goofy and clearly just SO happy. I felt instantly better! She will now be walking him a few times a week. He now has a new friend and walking buddy. She has lovely energy ! (I also have a big German shepherd which can be a lot for some) so happy we have her to help out now! 🫶🏻

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Edmonton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
