About: I have grown up with pets all of my life. On top of being a pet parent to my own reactive dog, I fostered dogs for 5 years, have worked in a dog kennel, and assisted with a pet food bank. I am a student and I work part time with a very routine schedule. My schedule thurs-sun is very free and I am always willing to see if I can fit you into my schedule. I will defer to owners requirements and requests at all time! Dogs will remained on leash when on walks, and all needs will be attended to
About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by a wide range of animals. I currently live with my dog, Hank, and two cats, Nora and Ted. I have had my dog, Hank since he was a puppy. He is now 12 years old. I am well versed in senior care. I had my cat, Charlie for 18 years, giving him medication daily to manage his high-blood pressure. Sadly, I said good-bye to Charlie three years ago. It was one of the hardest things I had to do. I have genuine love and care for senior animals after his passing. I work full time as a teacher. I am usually busy Monday-Friday during the day. However, my partner works from home. With teaching I also have a very flexible schedule when it comes to holidays and weekends! My home has a large yard. There will be plenty of walks and opportunities for play. I take my dog for 3 walks throughout the day, often spending more than two hours outside with him. I make sure my animals are mentally stimulated by providing them with puzzle toys, and engaging with them in play.
About: I have experience looking after my family dog and helping raise my sister’s puppy. I have done pet sitting for friends as well. I’m not an expert at animal care, but will follow all directions and respect your pet at all times. My focus is to keep your pet happy while you are away. I love taking dogs for walks and will always clean up after them. I am a full time professional wrestlers, so my weekends are almost always busy, but that leaves my weekdays completely free and flexible most weeks. I am able to do drop ins on the day or scheduled, reoccurring visits. I will respect your pets and your home at all times. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priority! I am very clean and will make sure everything is left how I found it. I will follow all directions and rules given to me.
About: I have been pet sitting friends pet for many years and i love it. Fur babies miss their owners when they are away so I provide a fun, loving, welcoming and nurturing away from home feeling. All fur babies have a huge heart, they are lovable and fun to be around. I have stayed at my friends house while they have gone on holidays. I take them to the dog park if there is one near by and always ask the owners how their pets are with other animals. It is very important to keep them safe and happy. I am an active, responsible, caring, friendly person who has owned pets in the past and really misses them. I love being around them :) : I am flexible with my time throughout the day as long as I get enough notice. I am available on weekends in addition could also be available during holidays. I will only allow a dog off leash once I have become familiar with the dog and it's owner's commands. I always respect other dog's walkers.
About: I have been taking care of our puppy for 7 years and volunteering for an animal shelter for half a year now. From providing nurturing and attentive care to dogs of all sizes. From energetic puppies to senior pets, I ensure that each one feels loved, safe, and happy. My approach is personalized, focusing on the unique needs of every pet. Whether it's playtime, walks, or special dietary requirements, your dog will be in good hands with me! I'm a full-time university student without a part-time job, so I can spend at least 4 hours a day to take care of the kids. I ensure flexibility to meet your babies' needs, whether it’s daily walks, feeding, or playtime. Weekends are fully open for more extended care. In my home, fur babies enjoy a safe, secure environment with plenty of space to play and rest. I prioritize safety, following any specific care instructions to ensure they feel comfortable and at ease. If caring for them in their homes, I maintain a calm, clean atmosphere, respecting both the babies' routine and the owner’s space.
“Sarah-Beth is excellent and reliable. She used to walk my dog back in 2019 and we just reconnected again in 2024. My dog remembered her right away and was happy to see her! My puppy is reactive around dogs and Sarah-Beth handles if very well. He comes home happy and calm.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs across a good range of sizes and breeds — small dogs growing up, then medium and large breeds of my own as an adult, plus years of sitting for friends’ dogs along the way. That’s what made me the sitter my friends called first, and it’s the same care I bring to every walk and drop-in now. I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs, moving at their pace, but love dogs of all ages :) I currently work part time, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the week. That flexibility means I can build pet care around your dog's schedule rather than squeezing visits into a rigid routine, so you get consistent, reliable timing for whatever service you book. Since I offer walks and drop-in visits rather than boarding, all care happens at your home and in your neighborhood. During a visit, I check in on your dog, refresh water if needed, and keep them leashed and secure for the walk or bathroom break. Before I leave, I double-check that doors and gates are locked exactly as I found them. I also follow your instructions closely — whether it’s a specific routine, feeding schedule, or how to handle your dog in certain situations — so both you and your dog feel safe and comfortable with me in your home.
About: Let me care for your pets in the comfort of your home. Instead of boarding them at a pet facility. I have had dogs and cats as pets for most my life. I have had small, medium and large dogs. My family has had 2 golden retrievers. Wonderful dogs. I have always had a cat as a pet. I currently have 2 cats at home. I love animals, a lot of experience caring for them. Walking, grooming and feeding. I have never been afraid of animals. It is natural behaviour for me to be warm and affectionate with animals. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies and take very good care of them. Please read for house sitting. I prefer to house sit in the areas of Old Strathcona, Garneau or Central Downtown. I appreciate your attention to this request. Please feel free to send a request if you are outside of these areas. I can make some exceptions :) However, I can only take job within the City of Edmonton because I do not drive. I now have lots of time to care for your pets in your homes. Currently, I do need some time away to head home to care for my kitties.

She was absolutely amazing! 🥰 So sweet, caring, and attentive with my dog. She kept in touch throughout the walk and sent lots of adorable pictures, which I really appreciated and loved seeing. It was clear she genuinely cared and made sure my pup was happy and comfortable. Super reliable, friendly, and easy to communicate with. I had such a great experience and would 100% book with her again. Highly recommend! 🐾💕

These ladies were amazing! Rosie absolutely loved her walks with them. Communication was excellent, they were reliable, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I always felt confident that Rosie was in great hands. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of her!

Aydan was a fantastic dog walker. My dog is a bit shy/anxious and Aydan really paid attention to what she needed, made sure she was comfortable, and shared little updates when my dog started to get more confident on walks. Aydan was reliable and communicated well. I would absolutely trust her to care for my dog again.

I'm so happy with Sal's services. I was out of town for a few days and my husband was working long hours, so we needed someone to come over and walk our dog. He did so right on time both days and even sent me a picture of my dog after the walk. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in good hand. Will definitely rebook in the future!

10/10 ❤️ First time using rover and I may have shed a tear watching my pup walk off with someone else on this beautiful day.. LOL. But, with some physical limitations I had to call in reinforcements (which clearly wasn’t easy for me). When they arrived home my dog was smiling so big, playing, being goofy and clearly just SO happy. I felt instantly better! She will now be walking him a few times a week. He now has a new friend and walking buddy. She has lovely energy ! (I also have a big German shepherd which can be a lot for some) so happy we have her to help out now! 🫶🏻

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Edmonton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
