“Vivian was absolutely incredible. My dog, Timba, is reactive and very wary of new people. She warmed up to Vivian extremely quickly and I could tell from the photos Vivian sent that she was very happy and comfortable! I was nervous to use a new walker while I was out of town, but Vivian kept me updated with photos every 5-10 min during the walks (in addition to the rover card!). I will absolutely be booking with her again.”

“Excellent- felt super comfortable with her walking my fur baby. My dog is 80lbs, a strong puller, and dog reactive, and my dog came back happy and calm and had a good nap after.”

About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by a wide range of animals. I currently live with my dog, Hank, and two cats, Nora and Ted. I have had my dog, Hank since he was a puppy. He is now 12 years old. I am well versed in senior care. I had my cat, Charlie for 18 years, giving him medication daily to manage his high-blood pressure. Sadly, I said good-bye to Charlie three years ago. It was one of the hardest things I had to do. I have genuine love and care for senior animals after his passing. I work full time as a teacher. I am usually busy Monday-Friday during the day. However, my partner works from home. With teaching I also have a very flexible schedule when it comes to holidays and weekends! My home has a large yard. There will be plenty of walks and opportunities for play. I take my dog for 3 walks throughout the day, often spending more than two hours outside with him. I make sure my animals are mentally stimulated by providing them with puzzle toys, and engaging with them in play.

“Sonia started walking Molly this week and I'm really happy with how things went. Molly is getting older, so I can't help but worry about her during the day. Sonia is so attentive and communicative about Molly's energy level and mood, how her business went, and anything else she notices. It brings me a lot of peace of mind especially with the cute photos I get to see from their visit. Sonia is so lovely and caring and I'm happy to trust her with Molly.”

“Arina is so great when she walks our pup Lizzie. All her communication is prompt and she is so great at reading doggy body language. We love the pictures she sends after their walks and I'm glad that Lizzie is in safe hands with Arina.”

About: I have been pet sitting friends pet for many years and i love it. Fur babies miss their owners when they are away so I provide a fun, loving, welcoming and nurturing away from home feeling. All fur babies have a huge heart, they are lovable and fun to be around. I have stayed at my friends house while they have gone on holidays. I take them to the dog park if there is one near by and always ask the owners how their pets are with other animals. It is very important to keep them safe and happy. I am an active, responsible, caring, friendly person who has owned pets in the past and really misses them. I love being around them :) : I am flexible with my time throughout the day as long as I get enough notice. I am available on weekends in addition could also be available during holidays. I will only allow a dog off leash once I have become familiar with the dog and it's owner's commands. I always respect other dog's walkers.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Edmonton
These ladies were amazing! Rosie absolutely loved her walks with them. Communication was excellent, they were reliable, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. I always felt confident that Rosie was in great hands. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of her!

Vivian was absolutely incredible. I will absolutely be booking with her again.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience with Rebbeca, she has been reliable, professional and shows genuine care for my border collie Isaac. Rebecca provides amazing photos of Isaac on his walks and its clear they have made a strong bond together. My first experience with Rebecca was also on short notice and she was incredibly responsive and understanding of my situation. If you are looking for someone caring, trustworthy and dependable I can't recommend Rebecca enough.

Aydan was a fantastic dog walker. My dog is a bit shy/anxious and Aydan really paid attention to what she needed, made sure she was comfortable, and shared little updates when my dog started to get more confident on walks. Aydan was reliable and communicated well. I would absolutely trust her to care for my dog again.

I'm so happy with Sal's services. I was out of town for a few days and my husband was working long hours, so we needed someone to come over and walk our dog. He did so right on time both days and even sent me a picture of my dog after the walk. I felt at ease knowing my dog was in good hand. Will definitely rebook in the future!

10/10 ❤️ First time using rover and I may have shed a tear watching my pup walk off with someone else on this beautiful day.. LOL. But, with some physical limitations I had to call in reinforcements (which clearly wasn’t easy for me). When they arrived home my dog was smiling so big, playing, being goofy and clearly just SO happy. I felt instantly better! She will now be walking him a few times a week. He now has a new friend and walking buddy. She has lovely energy ! (I also have a big German shepherd which can be a lot for some) so happy we have her to help out now! 🫶🏻

Keira is excellent. Friendly, accommodating, energetic, affordable, patient with my dog. He is high energy, she makes sure to run with him to provide an outlet for his energy. He comes back panting, which is always a good sign that he found his walk to be a success. The bonus for me is I get some peace and quiet because he is satisfied. Keira also spent time to play a bit with him, getting on the floor! He was thrilled 😆 I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Keira.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Edmonton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
