“Amazing dog walker! Reliable and fast responses. Keira is very experienced with dogs which made it easy to trust her to walk our pup! He had lots of fun, came back tired and happy!!”

“Gretta is very excited when she sees Kianna’s car drive up. Kianna is a very caring dog walker and is very patient with G when she puts on the snow suit for colder weather.”

“Dottie the Shepherd mix LOVED Sara and was so excited to see her every day. Sara was prompt and took Dottie for walks on familiar territory in our neighborhood. Will definitely use Sara again in the future!”

“Jasmine has been so wonderful with our dogs. We are so grateful for her help with our two big boys during this period while I am having some health issues. Jasmine found a way to fit us into her schedule really quickly, answered messages right away, and was always extremely accommodating. Even when I forgot to update my address on Rover (and sent her to our old place) she was understanding and found time to still see our dogs. Plus our big boys can be alot to walk together but she handles them without any issue. I can tell the dogs get excited to see Jasmine and always get a bunch of good excercise with her. We have had minimal experience with Rover but Jasmine is definitely a great choice to care for the furbabies.”

“Madalynn was great for the 2 dog walks she provided. Very positive experience. She was reliable, friendly, and clearly comfortable with dogs (she has her own). Super patient with our hundreds of requests of how to care for our dog, LOL. Communication was easy/fast and I felt confident that my dog was in good hands. My dog seemed happy and well cared for after each walk. I would definitely use her services again and recommend her to others.”

“The walk went so amazing! We really love Alyssa she’s been so patient with our nervous dogs and appreciate all the effort she’s been putting in to get to know them! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗”

“Niki took my dog for walks while I could not due to doctor’s orders. Fred got so excited whenever she came to pick him up! She is prompt and very pleasant and I would definitely recommend her.”

“Paula and her son were so outstanding! They were excellent at communicating and came to meet me before the first walk. They took such good care of Ryder by giving him a fun walk and even playing with him. Highly recommend!”

About: Have had pets all our lives and have been the go to for friends pets as they know they will get pampered and will rarely be alone. I am retired and Yvonne is semi retired so we are constantly around to provide care, activities, and love. We are home bodies so always home in the evening and if out at all during the day we take our pups with us whenever possible. We have a great yard that we spend most of our time once the snow clears and a home where the pets are around us all the time
About: I've owned pets for over 20 years. I have recent experience with puppy training and senior care. I've had my own cats and now a small dog. I'll treat your animals like my own and want them to be as happy as can be. I recently lost my cat of 18 years which broke my heart. I can't have another cat at the moment but I'd love to take care of yours! I love my little dog very much and I'd love to give your pet the care that it needs during the times you can't. I'm currently in graduate school a couple evenings per week and on Saturday mornings. My schedule is pretty flexible and I'm excited to meet your lovely pets! I have a flexible schedule, reliable vehicle, and am a trustworthy person. I have a small dog at home with a fenced in yard and she loves meeting new friends!
“Bonnie was reliable and pups liked her. She showed up on time even with the struggle to find parking due to the snow clearing. I do wish when she took more than a picture of 1/2 our dogs head or butt to send to us.”

About: I’ve taken care of a few of my coworkers cats & dogs, going over to check on them and give them lots of love! I don’t own any pets myself but I genuinely love my time with my friends pets and I would love to enjoy time with yours too! I am a student with open availability other than part time work! I am available mostly during the day and evenings or weekends but my schedule is fluid all the time right now! I don’t have the resources to house animals in my own home, but I am confident in my skills to take care of your pets while we get some exercise together!
About: I have grown up with dogs since I was young. I have had dogs of all sizes, and currently have 2 large breed dogs of my own. I have experience walking reactive dogs (please contact about reactivity so we can discuss management :) ). I am off of work for the summer, so am flexible for pet care during the week! I am busy during evenings, so afternoon is best. I have a force free philosophy to dog care. If entering your home, you can be assured that I will keep your dog comfortable, and will not put your dog in a position that they do not want to be in.
About: As a 25 year-old animal lover, my pet care experience spans several years and encompasses a variety of responsibilities and interactions with different types of animals. I have grown up with pets in my household, providing me with invaluable hands-on experience in feeding, grooming, and exercising them. I currently work a flexible part-time job, which leaves me with plenty of availability for dog walks and pet care. My schedule allows me to accommodate a variety of walk times and drop-in visits throughout the week, and I am often able to be flexible to meet your pet's needs. As a provider of pet care services, ensuring safety, trust, and a positive environment is paramount in both my home and my clients' homes. 1. Safety: I prioritize the safety of pets by conducting thorough assessments of the environment to identify and eliminate potential hazards. This includes securing dangerous items, ensuring secure fencing or containment areas, and removing toxic substances from reach. I also maintain a keen eye on the pet's behavior and surroundings to prevent accidents or injuries. 2. Trust: Building trust with pets is essential for their well-being. I take the time to establish a bond with each animal through patient and compassionate interactions. This involves respecting their boundaries, providing consistency in care routines, and using positive reinforcement techniques to reinforce good behavior. By earning the trust of pets, I can ensure they feel comfortable and secure in my care. 3. Environment: Creating a positive environment is key to promoting the physical and emotional health of pets. I strive to maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that meets the needs of each individual animal. This includes providing appropriate bedding, toys, and enrichment activities, as well as maintaining a regular feeding and exercise schedule. Additionally, I consider factors such as temperature control, ventilation, and noise levels to ensure pets are comfortable and relaxed. Overall, my approach to pet care focuses on fostering a safe, trusting, and enriching environment where pets can thrive and receive the attention and care they deserve.
“Thank you so much for your care and attention to detail. Even the extra mile to provide me with amazing tips to help settle Subie into his new home. I cannot wait to have you back to help with him and his walks.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sherwood Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
