“Rebecca was absolutely amazing with my puppy and was able to handle all his energy!!! She had super great communication and was all around super helpful and friendly!!”

“Gretta is very excited when she sees Kianna’s car drive up. Kianna is a very caring dog walker and is very patient with G when she puts on the snow suit for colder weather.”

“Lisa is awesome! Our puppy Miso is always excited to see her and I love that she takes him on different paths during their walks so that he can explore new areas. She is super flexible and easy to work with.”

“Niki took my dog for walks while I could not due to doctor’s orders. Fred got so excited whenever she came to pick him up! She is prompt and very pleasant and I would definitely recommend her.”

“Jasmine has been so wonderful with our dogs. We are so grateful for her help with our two big boys during this period while I am having some health issues. Jasmine found a way to fit us into her schedule really quickly, answered messages right away, and was always extremely accommodating. Even when I forgot to update my address on Rover (and sent her to our old place) she was understanding and found time to still see our dogs. Plus our big boys can be alot to walk together but she handles them without any issue. I can tell the dogs get excited to see Jasmine and always get a bunch of good excercise with her. We have had minimal experience with Rover but Jasmine is definitely a great choice to care for the furbabies.”

“We really enjoyed having Marissa take care of our 2 dogs. Marissa did well navigating our hyper puppy and adapted to her needs! Marissa is trust worthy and we would book again”

“Andrea is prompt and professional, you can rest easy knowing that she will be there for you and your pet on time as agreed upon. Andrea was responsive during messaging, and is really good with dogs. I would not hesitate to have her care for my Ripley again.”

“Excellent- felt super comfortable with her walking my fur baby. My dog is 80lbs, a strong puller, and dog reactive, and my dog came back happy and calm and had a good nap after.”

“The walk went so amazing! We really love Alyssa she’s been so patient with our nervous dogs and appreciate all the effort she’s been putting in to get to know them! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗”

“Dottie the Shepherd mix LOVED Sara and was so excited to see her every day. Sara was prompt and took Dottie for walks on familiar territory in our neighborhood. Will definitely use Sara again in the future!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 11 years old. My dog Tank was my best friend until he passed away a few years ago. Now any time I am excited for any time I get to spend with animals and I love caring for furry friends! I am currently working Wednesday to Friday and Sunday evenings but my mornings are generally free. I have Mondays off so I can do pet care any time that day! I am very friendly and eager to go for walks! I will treat your pet with the utmost care and respect your household and follow any rules you may have.

About: I have worked at the Edmonton Humane society where I learned how to care and clean after dogs and cats. I have taken a introduction dog behavior course that has helped me become aware on how to do basic training but most importantly read their body language. I'm currently working part time right now so I have plenty of time to focus on your pets. My schedule is not a set schedule so I do need to know ahead of time. I will make sure to follow your rules exactly, I will always keep your dog on a leash when we go on a walk. And I will never give them any treat or food you do not approve of.
About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 30 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. Pets have always been an important part of my life, and I treat them like family members. I joined Rover because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and want to provide reliable, compassionate care when their owners can't be there. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including senior pets, and I'm comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions. I also have experience with shy and anxious pets and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and earning an animal's trust. Every pet is unique, and I take the time to provide care that matches their individual personality and needs. As a mature, responsible professional, I understand how important trust and communication are. I'll treat your pet as if they were my own and keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident they're happy, safe, and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily routine. I currently care for my own senior cat and understand the importance of consistency, reliability, and attention to detail when it comes to pet care. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. When caring for a client's pet, I make it a priority to follow their routine as closely as possible and provide the attention, exercise, companionship, and care their pet needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I look forward to rather than simply another task on my schedule. I believe pets are happiest when their normal routine is maintained, so I take the time to learn each pet's individual needs and preferences. During drop-in visits, I'll ensure your pet has fresh food and water, potty breaks as needed, playtime, companionship, and plenty of affection. For cats, I'll also scoop litter boxes and keep their area clean and comfortable. For dogs, I'll provide safe, enjoyable walks tailored to their age, energy level, and abilities. Whether your dog enjoys a brisk walk or a slower-paced stroll with lots of sniffing and exploring, I'll make sure they get the exercise and attention they need. I treat every pet as if they were my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Bonnie was reliable and pups liked her. She showed up on time even with the struggle to find parking due to the snow clearing. I do wish when she took more than a picture of 1/2 our dogs head or butt to send to us.”

About: Growing up on an acreage, caring for animals has always been a way of life for me. I’ve raised and loved dogs and cats for as long as I can remember—from daily neighborhood walks to giving special-needs pets the extra patience and care they deserve. Whether your pet needs high-energy outdoor exercise or gentle, specialized attention, I’m dedicated to keeping them safe, happy, and treated like family! I’m home full-time, pet care isn't just something I squeeze in it's my main priority every single day! Since my routine is centered around animal care right at home, my schedule is extremely flexible throughout the day. Safety and trust are my top priorities. Whether I’m visiting your home or caring for your pet in mine, I treat every animal with the same care, caution, and love I give my own.
About: I have been caring for creatures big and small my whole life, wild or domestic. I recently decided to go back to school to become a nurse and this summer break has made a perfect opportunity to reopen my home for dogs and other animals. Earlier in the year we lost our beloved ol dog, Maya. It has been truly wonderful to have dog energy back in our home again. I have an amazing family that also loves animals and helps out (especially with cuddles). I am able to provide lots of love, attention and exercise, in a clean and safe environment. I believe being kind, calm and having a routine is essential for a caregiver. This helps the fur, feathered or scaled members of our family adjust while we are away, so they can relax and so can you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sherwood Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
