“Jill was amazing! Had to find a new sitter after a last minute cancellation and she was so accommodating! She provided updates & photos everyday, and Mia was so happy to stay with her! Will definitely book with her for all future boarding needs :)”

“We are so fortunate to have found Stacey. Minnie is always treated as a member of the family and loves her time spent there! Minnie's full body wags as we drive up to Stacey's are huge for my peace of mind knowing Minnie is so comfortable there!”

“We can’t say enough good things about the care Miley receives. We’ve been repeat customers because we know she’s happy, comfortable, and well looked after. Miley is a bit nervous in new situations but she is relaxed with Ben and Debbie. It’s clear that she feels safe and comfortable and that gives us tremendous peace of mind.”

“Our girl was well cared for. Yvonne was open to a meet-and-greet, and kept up a steady stream of photos and updates. We highly recommend Yvonne, and we will use her pet-sitting services again.”

“Casey and his wife are unreal. I left my 13 year old frenchie in their hands for almost 3 weeks while I was on vacation in Japan. They took such great care of him! He even seems to have better mobility now and appears much happier! Thank you Casey!!!!”

“I could not have found better people to take care of my dog. Katrina and Ryan made my dog feel at home and treated her like one of their own. They provided regular updates which eased my mind and reassured me that my dog was ok. Their own dog is lovely, kind and gentle with my dog being in their space. My dog doesn’t normally get along with dogs but she was very comfortable with Katrina’s dog. I will be definitely leaving my dog with Katrina and Ryan in the future.”

“Mariana and her family was amazing! They took Xylo on lots of walks and made sure she was fed her medicine! When Xylo didn’t eat they went out of their way to buy chicken for her and tried to get her more! There was plenty of updates as well!”

“Lynette was amazing with our dog Sputten! We appreciate her flexibility in taking Sputten from another sitter mid trip to make our vacation possible. We loved the daily photo updates. We were able to enjoy our trip because we knew he was being loved and well taken care of. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Lynette again in the future and would highly recommend her.”

“Terry is great! Very quick to respond to messages, provides updates and photos, and clearly loves meeting and caring for rover dogs. I would definitely book with Terry again. Thank you!!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and can’t imagine life without them. Over the years I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a gentler pace. I currently share my life with two dogs — one senior who’s reactive and needs a bit of extra understanding and structure, and one big, gentle goof who loves everyone. That means I’m very comfortable reading dog body language, managing different temperaments, and keeping walks calm and positive. I’ve also pet sat for friends, including a husky and a pug (quite the duo!), and know how to adapt to each dog’s unique personality and needs. Whether your dog is shy, social, or somewhere in between, I meet them where they’re at. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, being outdoors, and making sure pets feel safe, cared for, and content while their people are away. I build my day around my own dog’s walks, which means I’m outside and active, ready to give each pet the attention, exercise, and care they need. I provide calm, attentive care in your home, following each pet’s routines for feeding, walks, play, and attention. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. For dogs, I also offer walks tailored to their energy level and personality, ensuring they get exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of positive attention.
“I was 100% confident that my dog Bella would have a great 8 night stay with Karen and Daniel. She got 2 walks a day, treats, lots of attention, and they sent me photos daily. They are very responsive. I will most definitely be booking again and would recommend them to others! Thank you Karen and Daniel!”

“She was absolutely great!! She updated me daily with pics and videos of my dog as well as took her on walks multiple times a day. Shes also super nice since we got to her place a bit early and was totally understanding and took our pup right away! Shes amazing!”
“Jessica was awesome with Mae- sent lots of status updates and pictures which I love. Communication before and during was easy and quick. Would highly recommend Jessica to other pet owners.”

“This is the 1st time we have had to have our senior dog looked after, and Elisa was so accommodating. She made us and Colby feel very comfortable. She sent regular updates about his day which I truly appreciated. He settled right in and I would certainly feel good about using her services again. I would highly recommend Elisa and John.”

“Brenda is so lovely to deal with and took amazing care of our baby. Cookie is a very picky eater and Brenda was so patient with her and made sure she was well taken care of.”

“This was the first time I ever left my pup with someone else. I'm glad I found the Rover app and Colton made my leaving easy. From the very beginning he was a great communicator, responded quickly to my request which was important as it was a last minute travel plan. He took great care of Yoda and I cannot thank him enough.”

“I had such a great experience! They were able to take Ted on short notice, which I really appreciated, especially since I needed care for several days. They kept me updated the whole time with lots of photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious that Ted was well looked after, loved, and having a great time. They were so kind, welcoming, and reassuring from start to finish. I’m so happy to have Ted home, and I know he had an amazing stay. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care for their pet.”

“Nicole was fantastic and truly went above and beyond to make my dogs comfortable during their stay!! Nicole was warm and welcoming from the first meeting and really put our mind at ease with knowing that they were going to be well taken care of. Nicole sent us photo and video updates on the dogs to show us how much fun they are having! Nicole’s backyard is a dogs dream with lots of places to sniff around. My dog loved laying up on her deck catching the views of people walking on the trails. Nicole welcomed our dogs and treated them as one of her own and helped them make themselves right at home. Our dogs loved playing with Nicole’s dog and I could tell from the photos they had an absolutely great time! We will definitely be using Nicole again and would recommend her to anyone!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
