“If you want a sitter who makes your pet feel like a King, and makes your pet so excited to go to their house he climbs into your arms to make sure you dont forget him in the morning, Ana is for you. I never worry about leaving my old mop of a dog with her. I can't say enough good things about her.”

“Katrina, Ryan, and Rocky made leaving Artemis for a week a breeze! Even as an only dog at home, it was nice to have another one to show him the ropes. I appreciated the pictures and updates. He was happy to see me at pick up but also wanted both of us to stay! I'd happily board him with them again”

“Jennifer was an excellent sitter! She accommodated our last minute request to board our two dogs at her house for a night around the holidays and was very communicative the entire time leading up to and during the boarding. I was very confident in her abilities to make our dogs feel comfortable and she sent lots of pictures and updates. Would highly recommend.”

“We just tried rover for the first time as we were going out of town last minute and Jenna was able to take monkey in for the weekend last minute for us so we were grateful ! She updated us with photos and videos where he had a big yard to run around and sniff in and make friends with her dog as well . We definitely felt our fur baby was in good hands and had a worry free trip thanks to her . When we came back he was very relaxed and happy as he had lots of time to run out his energy as he’s a very hyper dog . We will definitely be booking with her again from our good experience and would recommend her . Thankyou !☺️”

“I was nervous at first coz my baby never stayed in other people’s house. But Pamela was great. She care and understood my baby situation 😊She gave me pictures when I asked and told me that my cat is alright.”

“Casey treated our dog, Mischa, like part of his family. We got daily updates and pictures, as well as quick responses when we checked in. She seemed very happy with her stay and we were too.”

“Renee was wonderful to deal with and she took very good care of our dog. We really appreciated receiving updates and pictures to show them having a good time together! We will most definitely be using Renee as our dog sitter in the future 😊”

“What a wonderful experience. We have a very senior dog who is very slow now, is deaf,..... We were a bit nervous because we know she may not be easy as she used to be. Andrea and Bernal were so kind and thoughtful with her. I apologize I forget their son's name but he was very much a part of caring for her. We definitely would use again”

“Heather took fantastic care of our pup! We were given lots of updates and photos, and our minds were definitely put at ease. Heather’s home is spacious and cozy, so our pup enjoyed the stay. And we are definitely surprised that our pup bonded with Heather right away, which we totally didn’t expect. Highly recommend!”

“Vanessa and her family were awesome with my dog Kugi! Lots of great updates and plenty of love and attention for Kugi. I could tell Kugi had her own vacation while we were away in ours!”

“Lexia was very professional. She genuinely cares for animals. She asked me questions about my dogs autoimmune disease so she would have the proper knowledge that she needed to administer my dogs medication. She sent me pictures of my dog settling in and looking comfortable in her home as well as out for a nice walk on a sunny day. Thank you again, Lexia. We will be looking to book again in the future.”

“We left our blind 18yo senior pup with Holli for 2 weeks. We were worried about leaving him for so long, but Holli took great care of him. Would definitely have her look after our boy again!”

“I realllyyyyy loved the way Angelica kept miller with her all the time. He was soo happy and comfortable with her. She is soo trustworthy and soo happy to help you. Thank you ♥️”

“Ben was fantastic, and his price is reasonable… if it stays that way, I will definitely use him again in the future! It’s more reasonable than most prices that are listed. We are both happy! Libby seems to have had had a great time with him :) thanks Ben!”

“Jennifer did an amazing job taking care of our two Australian Shepherds while we were away. From the moment we dropped them off, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. She kept us updated with regular photos throughout the week which really helped us relax and enjoy our trip. When we picked them up, they were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious they had stayed active and settled into a comfortable routine—like a true home away from home. We’re so grateful for the love and attention Jennifer gave them and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

“We've returned multiple times now and haven't ever had a single issue, great communication and always video updates on how our pup is doing through the day and night, much appreciated Karyn!”

“Thanks so much, Jill, for taking care of Giuseppe. He is very happy and relaxed, and he looks very good. Thanks for taking such good care of him, for all the photos, and for the extra help with his food.. Thanks again! 😊”

“This was our first time using a dog sitter. Our dog is older, hard of hearing and does not like other dogs. We were not sure what to expect using a dog sitter. Marianne was professional and put our minds at ease from the moment we met her. She sent us pictures and videos of our dog Mouse the entire time we were away. Our dog was well looked after by Marianne. We will definitely use her again to watch Mouse.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Edmonton
Marissa was awesome. It was my first time using rover and she was super accommodating for drop off and pick up times. Administered meds for the 10 days i was gone. Gave me daily updates about my dog and checked in when there were issues. Couldn't have asked for more! Happy to have found her .. it was super nice to go on vacation and not stress about how my dog was doing. 🙂🙂

If we could leave 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟, we would! Marsh is extremely high needs and JP and Paloma took him on like they’ve known him his entire life. Marsh is rear end paralyzed, so his bladder has to be manually expressed and needs assistance to poop. He needs to wear, and have changed, a variety of garments throughout the day. Their house had to accommodate the various pee pads that need to be strewn about. He has to be taken for walks in a stroller. Marsh has severe anxiety, to the point that we asked that they did not have any visitors - in their OWN home! Nothing is straightforward or predictable with Marsh and they took him on without any reservations. When JP and Paloma say they are experts with special needs dogs, that is an absolute understatement. We can only hope they are up for future sits with Marsh!

If you want a sitter who makes your pet feel like a King, and makes your pet so excited to go to their house he climbs into your arms to make sure you dont forget him in the morning, Ana is for you. I never worry about leaving my old mop of a dog with her. I can't say enough good things about her.

We had an exceptional experience with Morgan on Rover! Willow was so happy and relaxed when I picked her up—it was clear she was well cared for and loved. I really appreciated the daily updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while we were away. Morgan went above and beyond to make sure Willow was comfortable and cared for like her own. Her dog Rosie is so sweet, and it was lovely knowing Willow had such a great companion during her stay. I would highly recommend Morgan to anyone looking for reliable, attentive care, and we will definitely be booking again for our next trip.

We dropped our dog Joey off for a weekend with Joelle and she had a great time! Joelle provided updates and pictures which we loved. When we picked Joey up she was pooped from a weekend of playing. We would be happy to leave Joey with Joelle again in the future.

Colleen is so calm and took excellent care of my Chewy. He looked very relaxed and happy in all the pictures she sent which put my mind at ease. She was very quick to respond whenever I asked how things were going. Colleen has great energy and is a very kind and genuine person. I would highly recommend her for anyone needing care for their precious fur babies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
