“Brenda was so loving with Arlo! She worked with him on training, played with him and gave him an amazing place to stay while we were away. We’ll definitely rebook in the future! Thanks for taking care of our big guy!”

“Very friendly family with a warm and loving home. I was very grateful to have a place to leave my beloved dogs where I instantly felt that I could trust them. One of my dogs is very anxious and was having trouble settling down but they were able to calm and relax him. Would absolutely recommend.”

“Hilo and Kona absolutely love staying with Blaine and Kendra. They get pup cups, treats, nail trims and to go camping! They love it so much Hilo even sleeps on Kendra’s pillow. Never have any worries leaving them when they stay here.”

“Lynette was amazing with our dog Sputten! We appreciate her flexibility in taking Sputten from another sitter mid trip to make our vacation possible. We loved the daily photo updates. We were able to enjoy our trip because we knew he was being loved and well taken care of. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Lynette again in the future and would highly recommend her.”

“Holli was wonderful, had great communication and provided a welcoming, loving home for my high energy golden retriever who provides zero personal space. Will definitely rebook!”

“Our baby Dacha had a blast with Elisa and John. From the time of meet&greet to her actual stay, she felt right at home. They kept on sending us updates about Dacha, which we really appreciated a lot and were very accommodating to our requests for her meals and other things too! She was free to explore and satisfy her curiosity, from inside to outside of their home. Thank you soooooo much Elisa and John! We will definitely choose you again if need be!”

“My senior dog had a great time with Karyn! She was very accommodating. She took the time to have a phone call so I could explain everything about my dog’s routine, health, activity restrictions, and behaviours. It was my first time using Rover and she made me feel very comfortable leaving our dog with her. I received daily updates which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend Karyn to everyone, and we will be using her again!”

“We cannot say enough great things about Riley, he & his family took the most wonderful care of our boy!! Nitro is a senior dog with some behaviour quirks, health issues & separation anxiety, so I was very anxious about finding the right fit. Riley was so kind, conscientious, & understanding about all of the above. We had consistent updates & photos to know how he was doing, & see him enjoying plenty of walks & quality time. It really put my mind at ease for our first time ever boarding him. Don't hesitate to put your trust in Riley, there's no doubt that we will be repeat clients as well 😊”
“Darwin was well-cared for - lots of pats and back scratches. Andrea and Bernal gave me updates and replied quickly to any query. They were flexible and helpful. Go and meet them!”

“They are truly amazing people. Banks had so much fun the entire weekend and he is now pooped out because of how well they kept him busy! They went above and beyond for him and treated him like one of their own. They are very very trustworthy and so good with communication! Thank you guys for everything 💌”

“Thank you Michelle for taking such good care of our pup Rylee. It was clear from the start that she was comfortable with you and your family and it was wonderful to go away and know that our pup was safe and well cared for. We will book again I am sure!”

“Thank so much for your patience with Daisy. She took a couple days to warm up to sharing her space with other dogs, but Diane was super supportive and caring. Daisy settled in and has come home much less anxious about other dogs. In fact, when Daisy was a the off-leash she was looking for all the new friends she made. She used to avoid other dogs, now she’s going up and meeting dogs. It’s great! Thank you Diane!!!”

“"Jenna was fantastic! She treated my Miley as if she were her own. As this was my first time using Rover, I had no worries leaving Miley with her. Jenna kept us updated with pictures and videos, and when I picked Miley up, she was happily exhausted from playing with Jenna’s dog the entire time. I’ll definitely be booking with Jenna again!”

“We have used Joelle and her fiancé twice now and each time has been great! They are excellent at communication and send pictures and updates. They are prompt at responding for requests and even gave my pup some of their own treats. I feel very safe and comfortable with them watching our puppy. Would highly recommend.”

“Jodeen did an amazing job watching our Sophie while we went to Jasper for the weekend From the time I dropped Sophie off and picked her up I was updated on how they were making out. Sophie was so relaxed and seeemd to loved staying with Jodeen! Thank you so much for taking such great care of our dog! We will certainly be using her again!”
“First time ever using Rover or boarding our dog. Our pup is very much loved and well cared for in our home and we had absolutely no concerns leaving her with Crystal for the first time. We had multiple daily updates with photos and upon our return it was obvious that she had been very well cared for. 10/10 would recommend.”

“From the moment I met Trish, I knew my boys would be in great hands! They are usually quite nervous around new people and in new places, but they instantly took a liking to Trish. She send tons of photos throughout their stay and always kept me in the loop as to what they were up to. It’s very clear that Trish adores dogs and I would have 0 hesitation in bringing my dogs back for another stay.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edmonton
We needed a place last minute to watch out our black lab. In the immediate repossession and in person conversation after, we were immediately confident she was the right person to entrust in the care of Sampson. Only left him a few hours, but in that time she took him for a walk and sent pictures of him. Highly recommend

Jennifer was wonderful she took my puggles and beagle both high energy and looked after them for 6 days. Both dogs are 7 and have never been away from home my beagle is nervous and my puggles is over the top confident. I was a little worried leaving them because they've never been away from my place but there both sleeping I think they had a great vacation too. Highly recommend Jennifer

Our dog looked like she was living her beat life staying with Pamela! What a wonderful sitter - she gave our dog daily walks in the river valley and had such a great rapport with her right from our meet and greet through her stay. Thanks and we will book again! Alison

Jessica took absolutely wonderful care of our 15 year old bichon-shih tzu, who is mostly blind and deaf and requires medication twice a day. We had never left her in the care of a stranger before but would 100% leave her with Jessica again!!! She sent us daily updates and pictures and let us meet her beforehand to make sure our dog was ok there. I would definitely recommend!

JP and Paloma are amazing! They took in my cat for a week just a few days after she had a biopsy on her leg. They were able to administer medication, clean the incision area and just took really good care of her all together. Their communication was really great and I appreciated the daily check ins. They really put my mind at ease while I was away at a tough time. I definitely recommend them!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
