“Mariana and her family was amazing! They took Xylo on lots of walks and made sure she was fed her medicine! When Xylo didn’t eat they went out of their way to buy chicken for her and tried to get her more! There was plenty of updates as well!”

“Murray & Paddi were amazing! This was my first experience with Rover and my dog Winnie had the best weekend. They sent photos and videos of her playing with the other dogs every day. I knew she was well cared for. Will definitely rebook in the future. Thanks again!”

“Eunika was amazing with our 9 month old puppy, Skye. We had to leave out of town for a few days and Skye got sick the night before. Eunika was still willing to look after her and help give her the medication prescribed. She gave us regular updates and pictures and when we picked up Skye we could see she was well loved and taken care of. Thank you Eunika!”

“Xavier sends the cutest photos and videos of our pet while she is in his care. His kindness and caring nature is evident in his interactions with her, allow us to feel comfortable boarding her with him while we're away. Thank you, Xavier!”

“Heather is awesome. My dogs are very anxious - especially my senior girl who also takes meds. Both dogs felt very comfortable as soon as they arrived at Heathers - definitely a first! Great communication and dogs were happy and relaxed <3”

About: I’ve taken care of my friends’ cats and dogs many times whenever they travelled or went on vacation. I’ve cared for pets in their own homes and have also welcomed them into my home so I could give them the care and attention they need. I’m comfortable with their daily routines, including feeding, refreshing their water, playing with them, giving them lots of attention, taking dogs for walks, giving oral medication and cleaning their eyes when needed. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and making them feel comfortable. I’m patient with shy, nervous, or energetic pets and always pay attention to their individual needs and behaviours. My goal is for every cat and dog to feel safe, relaxed, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I work a hybrid schedule, so I work from home most of the week, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. My regular work hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and I work as a scheduler in home health care. Since I’m usually at home, I’m able to provide companionship, feeding, playtime, and attention throughout the day, as well as keep an eye on the pet and make sure they’re comfortable. I love it because they also keep me company! I can also adjust my routine when needed to follow each pet's usual schedule and care instructions. I live in a spacious apartment that provides a comfortable and safe environment for cats and dogs. I’m very careful about keeping doors closed and preventing any opportunities for a pet to accidentally escape. My windows have secure screens, so they can be opened for fresh air while keeping the space safe. I also keep closets and other enclosed spaces closed at all times to prevent pets, especially cats, from getting accidentally trapped or hiding somewhere unnoticed. I'm more than happy to provide pictures of my apartment or schedule a video call if you'd like.
“Christine was amazing! She was super communicative and sent regular updates, which made me feel really comfortable leaving Chewy with her for a few nights. Chewy had such a great time with Christine, her kids, and her sweet doggo Winnie! He was clearly very happy and well taken care of. 🐶❤️ I would definitely recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur babies. We’ll definitely be using her again!”

“Jenna-Lee is a natural with dogs and made Luna right at home for her 2 days stay. She went above and beyond to help her settle in and feel safe. Highly recommended messaging Jenna if you need a dog sitter in Edmonton”

“Ana was amazing! We left Rocket for a couple of days and she sent me updates about him, she is very nice and I will highly recommend her and use her services again”

“Marissa was very communicative and it seemed like my Neo had a fun time with her. She provided lots of updates and pictures. She was also flexible enough that she was able to take in Neo in a few days notice.”

“This was my first Rover experience and I am quite pleased with the ease of signing up and finding a sitter. Karyn was very helpful and routinely kept me updated with my dog. Everything worked out wonderfully.”

“We left our baby with mrunali and her husband for 10 days while we were on vacation. We received pictures of him playing with her dog every day and being spoiled with treats, walks and toys. He was so happy. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We’ll be back!”

“Dylan was great with rocky and most likely the only person I trust to watch him now. He gives all the attention my pup needed and more. Rocky absolutely loves him and I know he cant wait to go back !”

“Vanessa took amazing care of my dog. Matter of fact, I think Pam wants to go back! I got photos and updates and at no point was I worried about my dog. In my rush to pack up for the week I miscalculated how much dog food to send and Vanessa didnt hesitate to fix my mistake and go get her some more. Great family home and my dog got to be exposed to a younger kid who knows how to approach new dogs and read body language. From the first meet and greet to drop off and pick up I knew my dog was in great hands. Would 100% recommend and will be asking Vanessa next time I need a sitter.”

“Jayson is amazing! I have two large dogs, both rescues, and I rarely leave them with anyone. However, the few times they’ve stayed with Jayson they’ve totally loved it. Maybe too much as they didn’t seem to want to leave lol he’s professional, will keep you posted with lots of photos, and will send you home with happy and tired pups. Will definitely use him again in the future!”

Zelda (my dog) truly enjoys staying with Zoey M! As we approach Zoey M's house in the car, Zelda starts to stand and is super excited! Zoey M is welcoming, kind, pays attention to detail, and truly loves dogs. When your dog is with Zoey M, you do not have anything to worry about 😊

I had such a great experience with Jennifer. I sent her a very long message with all the little details and instructions about my dog, and she was so sweet, understanding, and accommodating about everything. She made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She was attentive, caring, and clearly treated him with so much love. I really appreciated how patient and reassuring she was throughout the whole experience. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter! ❤️🐾**

Colton was absolutely wonderful with Susan! We couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after her. He was so kind, easygoing and accommodating, especially when our plans changed and we needed to extend her stay. He kept us updated, sent us the cutest videos of her playing, and it was so nice seeing how happy and comfortable she was with him. We felt completely at ease knowing Susan was safe, happy and being so well cared for. She clearly had a great time! We would happily have Colton look after her again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our girl! 😊
I will happily rebook with Sherrie in the future. She and her family took excellent care of my dogs Gus & Milo while I was out of province. I hadn’t ever left them in the care of anyone but family so I was a bit anxious, but Sherrie sent frequent daily updates and photos of what they were up to and how they were doing. My pups got cuddles, walks, treats and attention, and I think it ended up being a home away from home for Gus & Milo! Thank you Sherrie!

Our dog looked like she was living her beat life staying with Pamela! What a wonderful sitter - she gave our dog daily walks in the river valley and had such a great rapport with her right from our meet and greet through her stay. Thanks and we will book again! Alison

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
