I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I'm home most of the time, which means plenty of company, attention and regular potty breaks throughout the day. Daily walks are already something I enjoy, so your dog will get a minimum of two walks a day, along with lots of interaction and cuddle time in between. If your dog enjoys car rides and it's appropriate, we're also happy to have them join us when we're out and about. Dogs really do become part of the rhythm of our home while they're here.

In our home, dogs are treated like part of the family. I do my best to follow their usual routines, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks and any special instructions you provide, so they can feel comfortable and settled while you're away. They'll have plenty of attention, affection and interaction throughout the day, with a minimum of two walks daily and lots of opportunities to get outside. I'm also happy to send photos and updates so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and well cared for. Every dog is different, so I really take my cues from them—whether they love to play, cuddle, go for adventures or simply find a cozy spot and hang out with us.

A typical day
I love to go on walks, if the dogs are comfortable with it, we will do trips to dog parks. I like to teach tricks if parents are ok with it. I will play fetch if they are interested in that kind of thing. I will always give lots of love and praise.

Pet care experience
We genuinely love dogs. I have had dogs my whole life and know how much they become part of the family. About a year ago, we lost our beloved dog, Joey, and while we're not quite ready to bring another dog permanently into our family, we have a whole lot of love and attention to give. Opening our home to other people's dogs feels like a pretty wonderful way to do that. ❤️ I work from home and am here most of the time, so your dog will rarely be left alone and will get plenty of attention, company and cuddles. My husband and our two kids, 19 and 17, are also huge dog lovers, so there is no shortage of people in our home happy to give some extra love and attention. Dogs staying with us will be walked a minimum of twice a day, and if your dog loves car rides, we're happy to bring them along on appropriate outings too. We want your dog to feel like part of our family while they're here—not simply a dog we're looking after. I also love teaching dogs new tricks and keeping their minds engaged, so if you're comfortable with it, we may even have some fun learning something new while you're away! We understand every dog has their own personality, routines and q

Sherrie and her family were amazing with our pups. We could sense how comfortable our pups were with them and it was evident how well cared for and loved our pups were, while in their care. During pickup, after their initial excitement of seeing us, our younger pup tried to follow Sherrie back into her home as she went in to get their bag. This is a glowing endorsement for us as he normally sticks to is like glue! Sherrie also provided daily text and/or photo updates which put our minds at ease. This was our first Rover booking and we were unsure of what to expect, but seeing our pups looking so relaxed and happy confirmed that we had found a perfect home/pet sitting family for our pups. We have already booked our second stay with Sherrie and we hope that we she will always be available when we need to book a stay on Rover.
We found Sherrie to be a very mature, responsible and loving pet sitter. We never have hesitated to ever leave our 9 year old dog Raven with her to pet sit when needed, as Raven loves all the walks and attention she receives in Sherrie’s care.
