“Katelyn and her family were so accommodating and the perfect choice to take care of our puppy! They even let him stay a little longer when my plans changed and I really appreciated knowing he was in such good hands! Would definitely book again! Thank you Katelyn ?”
“Leaving my fur baby is never easy, but Renee made it completely stress-free. From the first moment, my pup Susie lit up around her, and I knew she were in loving hands. Renee was able to take Susie on daily walks, administer her medication, brush her teeth and going above and beyond to make sure that Susie was getting the best care possible! Every update and photo showed not just care, but genuine joy and connection. I came home to a happy, calm pet who clearly felt safe and adored. I can’t imagine trusting anyone else — Renee is a gift to both pets and their people. 🐾❤️”

“Choosing Jinny to care for our furry family member was the best decision we made! From the moment we met, their genuine love for dogs was evident. Our pup was treated to daily walks, playtime, and even special treats. We received regular updates and photos, which eased our minds while we were away. With Jinny, we found not just a caregiver, but a true companion for our pet. We highly recommend her services to any dog owner seeking top-notch care and peace of mind.”

“Thank you Diane for the wonderful care and cuddles you gave to our dog Ruben. He definitely loved being with you if he was sitting on your lap! We appreciate you welcoming him into your home while we were away.”

“Navy had a great stay with Joanne and her family. I appreciated all the updates and if I had a question she was so fast to answer. Would recommend using Joanne and I will be booking her in the future! Navy is my baby and she took such great care of him. 🩵”

About: I have been house sitting and pet sitting for the last 10 years. I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments, from bulldogs to rottweilers, to cattle dogs, and shi-tzus. I also have two 7 year-old domestic short-haired kitties named Mr. Finn and Leonard! I also have several years of experience dealing with birds and reptiles, as well as small animals from working at two different pet stores. I cannot wait to meet your furry friend and treat them like my own! I am currently working part-time but am happy to spend as much time with your pet as I can! And am more than comfortable staying over! I am hoping to make this into full-time work, so that I can dedicate my life to doing something I love. My experience with different breeds, temperments, and ages/health concerns makes me more than qualified to handle anything your pet has to throw at me! I am comfortable with force-free training, providing medications, and crating animals. Even the grumpiest cat will not deter me. I am happy to meet them at their level, whether that's jumping and kissing or completely leaving them alone!
“This was our first time using Rover and it was a great experience thanks to Karen. Daisy was so well cared for and I loved getting the updates. I would definitely have Karen look after Daisy again. Thank you!”

“Katrina was an excellent sitter for our dog Rip. Our pooch seemed right at home! She had excellent communication and send lovely pictures and videos. We would use her again in a heart beat.”

“Casey and his wife are unreal. I left my 13 year old frenchie in their hands for almost 3 weeks while I was on vacation in Japan. They took such great care of him! He even seems to have better mobility now and appears much happier! Thank you Casey!!!!”

“Sonja kept me updated daily with photos and sent some great shots of what Ruby was doing. Ruby obviously loved being with Sonja and her family. Not only did I have a holiday, but Ruby got one too. I am sure she will miss them and I won’t hesitate to book again. Already thinking about a shorter trip later in the fall! Thanks so much Sonja.”

“I don’t think there’s enough words to describe how wonderful and caring this family is. From the very beginning, they went above and beyond by meeting with us the day after we booked so that our dog could get to know them and feel comfortable before his stay. Throughout his time with them, they treated him like he was part of their family. He enjoyed multiple walks every day, plenty of attention, and so much love and affection. It was clear from the updates and photos that he was happy, relaxed, and well taken care off. Their kindness, communication, and genuine love for animals truly shines through. We came home to a happy, well-loved dog. You’re an incredible family! 🐶❤️”

“It’s my first time leaving my dog for a trip and Robin is so nice! Always keeps me updated and makes sure he eats well and enjoy his stay! She even potty trained him 😄 Highly highly recommend!!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - St. Albert
This was our first time booking with kirsty to look after our little man. We was a little nervous leaving him, as he is getting older and less active. But kirsty made the nerves disappear. We had a meet and greet where bruce met kirstys lovely doggies and some others who were in boarding at the time. The was very reassuring and hearing how much love kirsty has for all the dogs just made it confirm that this was the perfect place for bruce. Whilst we was away kirsty kept us upto date with lots of photos and comments on what bruce had been upto. This made us so happy and it was lovely to see how settled bruce had become. We would 100% use kirsty again and would 100% recommend. Bruce certainly had a great time as he slept the whole day and night when he was home to recharge his batteries!! Thank you again kirsty!

Adrianna and her partner were AMAZING pet sitters! They helped me out immensely by taking my very last minute daycare and boarding requests. Dax was well taken care of and absolutely had a blast. She looked like she felt right at home! I cannot recommend them enough. Book with Adrianna!

We felt so confident leaving our pup with these two. Their calm and accepting manner from the get go was exceptional and they welcomed our dog into their home like he was their own. We loved that he was walked regularly and that they communicated daily with us during our absence. We would not hesitate to leave him again as he was so happy and settled in their home. We appreciate this feeling.
Luna had a wonderful time and Im half convinced she would have liked to stay when we picked her up! She really liked having a playmate for her boarding. I appreciated the updates and the pictures we received to let us know she was enjoying her stay. We would definitely board with Natasha (and family and Dexter!) again.

Pixie had a great time at Melody’s place. She has a friendly pup, and they got along, so Pixie was not really bored! She has a loving family, which Pixie got a lot of attention from, and she really loves that. She also sent me pictures and videos of her, which really helped ease my mind knowing she’s safe and having fun. Her place is not that far from Edmonton, so I will definitely book her again.

This was our first time using the Rover app to find long-term stay with a sitter. Not only was at our first time. It was a very last minute extremely short notice request. Sarah was very flexible and very accommodating and understanding given our situation and worked quickly with us to arrange a meet and greet and make the required arrangements for this transition to happen. I was very impressed with Sarah and her professionalism and love for animals. It was such a huge relief to find someone so quickly and to have that peace of mind leaving our dog on such short notice. Sarah provided daily feedback, updates and photos which further put our minds at ease while being away. We will absolutely use her again. It is very apparent that Sarah has a love for animals and takes great pride in her ability to do so. Her experience and compassion speak volumes.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
