“Joanne was very accommodating & it’s obvious she loves dogs. She was able to handle our unruly pup, and seemed to enjoy looking after him. Our dog was very comfortable with Joanne & would highly recommended her for anyone looking for a safe & dependable dog sitter.”

“Brittany is a very loving dog sitter. She cared for Ellie as if she was her own. Lots of love was given and Ellie became quite comfortable and made herself at home immediately. We will definitely request Brittanys services next time we are in Edmonton.”

“Diane is the best dog sitter that ever existed! I can’t say enough good things and am so glad I left my old man Dexter in her care. The only reason to possibly give a bad review is so she won’t be all booked up when my dog needs her”

“Casey and his wife were absolutely lovely and I’m incredibly grateful for how well they took care of my 10 year old rescue pup cubby - they were so kind and patient with her since she’s a bit anxious, and cubby settled in with them quickly and loved her tummy rubs and nice long walks. Will definitely book again and regularly!”

“Kayla and her family were awesome with our two dogs. It was the perfect match for us. We would definitely book again with her. For our first time leaving them in someone else's care it was a great experience. Thank you to Kayla and the Family.”

“Christine was amazing! She was super communicative and sent regular updates, which made me feel really comfortable leaving Chewy with her for a few nights. Chewy had such a great time with Christine, her kids, and her sweet doggo Winnie! He was clearly very happy and well taken care of. 🐶❤️ I would definitely recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone to take care of their fur babies. We’ll definitely be using her again!”

“Spartan had the best time with Michelle and her family. He had lots of walks and play time. I received lots of pictures and updates so I was able to see how happy he was. We will be taking Spartan back to Michelle any time we need.”

“Benjamin is such a GEM! Took my pup in last minute. Sent me updates , photos, and videos. I could barely get my dog to leave. Thank you Benjamin for taking such amazing care of my best bud.”

“Tesla appears to have had a great time with Shona and all of her new friends The property with access to the river was great for walks and we appreciated the updates that we received for Tesla’s stay!”

“Mai gave regular updates with Lucky and Lucky was very well kept. He warmed up to her quickly when he gets scared of people. I would definitely book with Mai again she was so good with Lucky”

“Leaving my fur baby is never easy, but Renee made it completely stress-free. From the first moment, my pup Susie lit up around her, and I knew she were in loving hands. Renee was able to take Susie on daily walks, administer her medication, brush her teeth and going above and beyond to make sure that Susie was getting the best care possible! Every update and photo showed not just care, but genuine joy and connection. I came home to a happy, calm pet who clearly felt safe and adored. I can’t imagine trusting anyone else — Renee is a gift to both pets and their people. 🐾❤️”

“Thank you SOOO much Wendy Ashley and Christine for taking exceptional care of Belle. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for her. The photos and texts let us feel connected with Belle while we were away. Thank you again. We look forward to having Belle stay with you again.”

“Karen was amazing. Kept us up to date with pictures and my pups couldn’t have been taken better care of. They were exhausted when they came home so you can tell they had a tonne of fun.”

“Our first time using Rover to care for our two pups. Our dogs felt immediately at ease upon arrival which eased any anxiety we had. Nicole, and her son Thomas, provided great care and sent helpful updates and photos. We would definitely use this service and bring them back to Nicole again.”

“Vanessa gave Marco such a fantastic staycation while we were in the city for medical reasons. He was well loved and cared for at her home. Would definitely book here again when we return in the future.”

“Can’t give 6 stars or I would! Indy absolutely loves spending time with Nicole and her family! So much so that she doesn’t even look back when I drop her off… Nicole is quick to respond to booking requests and always provides great photos of Indy and updates during her stay, which takes the worry out of being away.”

“Elizabeth and her family took wonderful care of my two year old male shepherd cross. He got in lots of playtime with her kids and other dogs and I got lots of pictures. He came home happy and tired from his adventure. I would absolutely recommend her!”

“Kristina and her family were amazing! I could tell that our pup truly had a great time. Kristina sent many pictures every day! It was great to see that they were having such a good time. We rarely leave our pup behind when we go on adventures, so it was great to know that she was loved and a part of their family while we were gone. We would totally use Kristina and her family again!”

If you are looking for a pet sitter who will love your dog as much as you do, look no further than Marilyn! She cared for my dog, Millie, while I was away on vacation and treated her like her absolute own. Thanks to her excellent care and wonderful communication, I had total peace of mind the entire trip. Millie was so happy and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Five stars!

Robyn responded almost instantly to my last minute request for boarding, 2 days before my trip. We did a quick meet and greet the day before and then off she went! Robyn and her family have tons of dog experience and we felt very comfortable leaving our dog there. This was our first time using Rover, so of course there is always doubts, but we are happy we chose this vs a typical kennel. We were provided with daily updates/photos throughout our trip which was nice to see. She got lots of exercise and seemed to settle in. We would definitely recommend Rover and Robyn to any dog parent looking for a loving home and peace of mind.

Melody did such an amazing job taking care of my Zenobia. She treated my dog as if it was her own pet. The daily updates with pictures and videos is a step above. I'm very happy I was able to find her on Rover, Melody is definitely an amazing dog sitter and I will be using her from now on. I can't express enough how well Zenobia was taken care of. 5 stars plus. A 10/10 dog sitter for sure.

Sebastian and Brooke were absolutely amazing. This was my first time leaving my dog with anyone besides family and they made me feel so comfortable, even sending me pictures daily with updates. Couldn’t recommend them enough and I will definitely be using them in the future.

Brad and his family were so fantastic with our dog, Albie. Albie can be anxious and a bit high stress but Brad was so patient and kind with him. We received lots of updates and photos and Albie got so many walks. Brad was also very communicative and flexible with drop-off/pick-up times. Your pup will be well loved and well cared for with Brad, we will definitely reach out to him again!

This was my first time ever booking a dog sitter through Rover, and the whole process was incredibly easy. Clarsia & Devon were so accommodating, especially on such short notice. They took the time to meet with us beforehand so Cormick could meet the family and make sure it was a good fit for everyone. The communication was excellent, I received plenty of updates and photos while I was away, which gave me so much peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and would absolutely recommend this family to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog sitter.

Debbie and Craig were absolutely amazing! Our dog, Poppy, settled in so nicely with them, and we really appreciated all the updates and photos while we were away. We could really tell her and Craig treated Poppy as if she was their own! She was so spoiled with multiple walks per day and lots of snuggles! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dog sitter!

This was our first time booking with kirsty to look after our little man. We was a little nervous leaving him, as he is getting older and less active. But kirsty made the nerves disappear. We had a meet and greet where bruce met kirstys lovely doggies and some others who were in boarding at the time. The was very reassuring and hearing how much love kirsty has for all the dogs just made it confirm that this was the perfect place for bruce. Whilst we was away kirsty kept us upto date with lots of photos and comments on what bruce had been upto. This made us so happy and it was lovely to see how settled bruce had become. We would 100% use kirsty again and would 100% recommend. Bruce certainly had a great time as he slept the whole day and night when he was home to recharge his batteries!! Thank you again kirsty!

Adrianna and her partner were AMAZING pet sitters! They helped me out immensely by taking my very last minute daycare and boarding requests. Dax was well taken care of and absolutely had a blast. She looked like she felt right at home! I cannot recommend them enough. Book with Adrianna!

Luna had a wonderful time and Im half convinced she would have liked to stay when we picked her up! She really liked having a playmate for her boarding. I appreciated the updates and the pictures we received to let us know she was enjoying her stay. We would definitely board with Natasha (and family and Dexter!) again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
