About: Growing up in a family of dog lovers and now sharing my home with two cats, caring for animals has always been part of my life. Friends, family, neighbours, and community members have trusted me to care for their pets for many years. I have experience with dog walking, pet sitting, and helping raise and train family dogs from puppyhood. I am very familiar with positive reinforcement training and the importance of maintaining each pet’s established routines and training cues. I enjoy providing both physical exercise and mental enrichment through activities such as scent games, training exercises, and interactive play. I am happy to care for both dogs and cats and will work with you to ensure your pet’s individual needs are met. I work part-time as a volunteer coordinator, which gives me flexibility for pet care throughout the week. I am available for evening and weekend visits, as well as some weekday walks and drop-in visits. For cats and lower-mobility dogs, I can also provide daytime drop-in visits during work hours. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing are my top priorities. Before each booking, I like to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, health needs, training cues, and favourite activities so I can provide care that feels familiar and consistent. I am happy to provide updates and photos during visits so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. If your pet requires medication, special feeding instructions, or extra patience and attention, I will work with you to ensure their needs are met.
About: I've grown up with big dogs my whole life, all yellow labs. Maeve (our newest addition to the family), I helped train and teach her tricks, helped with her recall, and we love to go on our summer walks to practice polite leash walking along the lake, and her favorite is in the winter when we go for a walk with breaks to play fetch in the snow. I have always had a deep connection with dogs and find that there are not many dogs who don't like me. I also have experince with senior dogs and know the care and effort that goes into making their day comfortable and engaging even if they are unable to do much! I am currently putting a pause on dog sitting, but am open to dog walks! I work every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, most times can do late afternoon/early evenings! But my schedule is subject to change at times, so during the week there will be times I will be open during the whole day! I am very comfortable caring for dogs and reading their body language to understand what they may need. I know that building trust takes time, and I am patient and attentive in creating a calm and safe environment for your dog(s). I look forward to geting to know both you and your dog(s)!
About: I have been caring for dogs over 30 years. This has consisted of caring for multiple dogs of my own as well as caring for pets of both friends and family. I am skilled in dog training and like to keep the pooches entertained and active. I currently work full-time Monday to Friday hybrid schedule (2-3 days a week at home) and I therefore have availability most days and weekends. On days I am in office I take time both in the mornings and evenings to go on walks and have some play time to care for your fur baby. I take regular morning and evening walks daily with my dog as well as visit the park everyday to run, socialize and play. I have a large fenced yard for the pups to play and run around in with my small 5 year old bhichon shih tzu to keep them company! I ensure that both the home and yard are kept safe and free of anything that may be harmful to the pups. All dogs are separated at eating times to avoid any issues with feeding aggression. I have a dog park within walking distance to our home as well as other various parks and trails to visit on on our daily walks and adventures.
“Katherine was so kind and caring to our kitties! She sent a lot of pictures and helped me feel at ease when I was away. I felt comfortable during my trip and was able to relax and enjoy my holiday knowing that she had it covered! She is an awesome sitter and I highly, highly recommend her!”

About: Dogs in my home are like family so if you trust me with your best friend I promise to offer your dog genuine love and years of hands-on experience caring for dogs - big and small. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and personalized attention in a loving, safe, happy environment. I will respect and adhere to all specific dietary and any other need of your dog. I like to walk and be outdoors with animals. I registered with Rover in 2024 but didn't accept dog sitting duties at the time due to work commitments. I am now retired so my schedule is fairly flexible and I can typically adapt to meet your needs. I have a fenced backyard, plenty of nearby walking trails, and a dog park. Pets are encouraged to feel at home and sit on the furniture with a big cozy blanket. I understand every dog has different needs so I'll listen carefully about your dog's needs to help you and your pet feel comfortable. I'll be happy to connect with you digitally as required.

“Madalynn was excellent. I have a very anxious, jumpy Great Dane that Madalynn met, and she was very calm about his frustration and anxiety. She worked with him using treats and was able to settle him. She never showed any fear at all! I will have her back again!”

About: I work from home, will guarantee 3 walks per day, allow dogs on furniture and bed (if so requested). “Cheyenne was fantastic! I had to go out of town for work, and my senior kitties require 2x daily feedings, and she took care of them wonderfully! I got lots of great feedback and pictures with my Rover card after each visit and she told me some lovely stories about how my kitties were interacting with her. The house was as I left it and more importantly my kitties were happy and relaxed! I would recommend Cheyenne to everybody and anybody.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - St. Albert
Our Charles was getting over a sickness and we weren’t ready to leave him home alone just yet. Paula was willing to meet us 10 minutes before our booking to get them introduced as Charles can be anxious with new people. We saw that he trusted her the second she walked in. We left feeling relieved, knowing he was in good hands. She took such good care of him and I will request her again when we need it. Thanks Paula!

It was so nice to have Kate checking in on our dogs. She send pictures and we got a notification every time she started her visit. You could tell the dogs were very happy and well cared for. Kate were amazing and we can definitely recommend her! Looking forward to use her again in the near future :)

Vita was amazing with my dog Nube. She walked her twice a day, fed her and gave her the medications. I’m very thankful to Vita as I had to do an emergency trip abroad because my father passed away. Vita even shovel the snow. She did check ins with every visit that showed the map where she walked my dog and how many times she peed or poop. I would highly recommend Vita to care for your pets 💕🐶🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
