About: I’ve taken care of pets and have had many of my own ever since I was 3! I’ve always loved working with animals and giving them the best life possible. Through my years of hands-on experience, I’ve gained the knowledge and understanding of caring for different animals with a wide range of needs. You can be assured your furry family member will be offered lots of play time, affection and care, just like they are my own! I am currently work Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 8-4:30, but while I’m not at work I am always doing something with my dogs or cats! My favourite time of the day is when I get to take them for a walk, or simply play with toys in the yard. Seeing any animal happy and content is what brings me joy! I have 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own who love other animals! We also have a fenced yard. If your pet doesn’t like to socialize with others, I can ensure they are separated with no issues!

About: From showing dogs professionally, to grooming cats and dogs and owning them all my life; I have the knowledge and experience to handle any pet with the care based on their individual needs. I also offer grooming and training, as well as drop in pet sitting where I check in on your pets while you’re gone. I currently work very part time (Wednesday-Friday and the occasional Saturday) and have more than enough time for my own pets and want to spend all the extra time helping care for yours! Currently I am available Saturday-Tuesday just about any time. Wednesdays I have time in the morning and can do an evening drop in after work around 9pm Thursday and Fridays I am off around 4 and am available in the evening. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 fish tanks. I balance all of them along with having 2 children as well. To me, caring for pets means they are family and should be included as such. During a regular week my dogs are given a variation of walking, training and mental stimulation games. The cats can be found lounging with us in our past times or playing amongst themselves.

About: One of my previous jobs was at the Edmonton Humane Society, where I worked with all breeds and sizes of dogs. I am Fear Free certified, which means your dogs will always be treated with kindness and care. Throughout my 10+ years of experience, I never encountered a dog I couldn't handle or get through to. I truly believe that there are no bad dogs. I am currently a student part time at NAIT and am looking for some income and movement in-between my online classes. I am available around 6 hours a day for walking, and am very flexible with my schedule and time. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly golden retriever who's good with cats and dogs. I also have 4 cats that are all cat and dog friendly as well. It's a bit of a zoo but everyone is happy and healthy. I always say the animals eat better than we do.

Sarah-Beth was amazing with our dog, Tuck. We had her take him for walks every two days while our brother was watching him when we were away in Italy to help ease the work load. It helped us enjoy our trip stress free knowing that he was in good hands and getting some extra exercise and attention. Sarah-Beth sent photos every check in so we could see how happy Tuck was when he was with her. She was very confident in dealing with him as he is a bigger dog. With some reactivity issues we had our concerns but with a meet and greet before we left, Sarah-Beth eased our minds with her knowledge and expertise. You can tell she truly cares about the dogs she has the opportunity to work with. I HIGHLY recommend Sarah-Beth to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet.

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up around dogs and has been caring for cats for the past 7 years. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique quirks. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping them company, I make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I'm currently unemployed so I'm mostly available at any time, but once I'm back at work, I can easily fit into my schedule no problem. Animals don't scare me, we just need to give them some space and respect their boundaries. Being calm around them always helps so they know they're not under threat.

From the moment my dog met Andrea, she was enamored. Pepper is normally suspicious and barks at people who come to the door, but I think Andrea has such a calm quiet gentle demeanor, that Pepper felt comfortable with her right away! The cats, too, came right over and were mesmerized. Andrea carefully listened to and took note of all instructions, was easy to communicate with throughout, and I had absolutely no worries leaving my pets and home in her care. She got some great photos of my pets during visits, too, so I could see how content they were. Andrea also noticed and responded to my senior dog's needs in terms of energy levels--walking her when she was energetic and staying chill when she needed that. I highly recommend Andrea!

About: Hello, Pet Parents! 👋 I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals—from farm cats in my childhood to training our family puppy for agility competitions in my teens. Animals aren’t just a hobby for me; they are my passion. While in university, I dedicated my time to volunteering at the SPCA, helping rehabilitate and comfort large, fearful dogs. Today, my home is filled with love from our two cats—including my 17-year-old senior orange tabby, Naranjito—and our family dog. Why Choose Me? Through years of personal pet ownership and professional pet sitting (including dogs, cats, and birds), I have developed a comfort level with specialized medical care: Senior Care: Understanding the gentle pace and extra patience older pets need. Injectable Medications & Testing: Experienced with diabetic care, including blood tests and insulin injections. Special Needs & Emergency Calm: Capable of managing complex conditions like canine epilepsy and severe allergies, ensuring your pet is comforted and safe during vulnerable moments. Whether your furry family member needs an energetic walk, a cozy cuddle, or attentive medical monitoring, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I can’t wait to meet yours! I work as a part-time letter carrier, but I have mornings (until 12), almost all evenings, and most weekends available to care for your pet(s). I have been called "too trusting" in my past... but this has luckily never injured me in a serious way. In fact, the worst thing is realizing that my standard of trustworthiness is NOT universal... but that has made me more skeptical of others when it really matters. Caring for your pet is something that requires a lot of trust of me, and I appreciate your skepticism. I wouldn't leave my fur-babies with just anyone, too. Training dogs when I was younger made me much more aware of body language and different personalities. I am always watching for potential stressors or safety issues. I love giving dogs the freedom of an off-leash area, but would have to trust that they will listen to me before being comfortable with any safety risks involved with that.

About: For the past 8 years, I’ve cared for both dogs and cats, from playful Yorkies to gentle giants like Bull Mastiffs. I have experience with live-in pet sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. My goal is always to make your pets feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m a full-time student, but my class schedule is light. I’m on campus Mondays and Wednesdays till 11:30 am, then Tuesdays and Thursdays till 1:00 pm. I also work a very part time retail job with a flexible schedule. This allows me to offer pet sitting, walks, and drop-ins any day of the week, and I’m happy to work around your pets routine to make sure they get the care they need. I always prioritize your pets safety and comfort by caring for them in their own familiar environment. I respect your home and follow any instructions you provide to keep your pet’s routine consistent. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, or overnight stays, I adjust my care based on your pet’s needs and the service booked, ensuring they feel secure, relaxed, and well cared for at all times.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have always loved caring for animals. I have experience looking after both dogs and cats for friends and family, including feeding, walking, playtime, and providing loving in-home care while owners are away. I also had the opportunity to help raise a batch of puppies, caring for them daily and helping teach them basic routines and good behaviors. I’m patient, dependable, and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. I treat every pet like they’re part of my family and always make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and care. I currently work during the day, but I am available for early morning walks from 6–7 AM on weekdays and have full availability all day on Fridays. I will also soon be moving to part-time hours, which will allow me to have even more flexibility and availability for pet care. I always make sure pets receive reliable care, attention, and exercise during my available hours. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while in my care. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, medications, routines, and any special needs. I provide lots of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection, while also keeping a clean and calm environment. My goal is to make both pets and owners feel relaxed and confident while they are apart.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 30 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. Pets have always been an important part of my life, and I treat them like family members. I joined Rover because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and want to provide reliable, compassionate care when their owners can't be there. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including senior pets, and I'm comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions. I also have experience with shy and anxious pets and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and earning an animal's trust. Every pet is unique, and I take the time to provide care that matches their individual personality and needs. As a mature, responsible professional, I understand how important trust and communication are. I'll treat your pet as if they were my own and keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident they're happy, safe, and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily routine. I currently care for my own senior cat and understand the importance of consistency, reliability, and attention to detail when it comes to pet care. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. When caring for a client's pet, I make it a priority to follow their routine as closely as possible and provide the attention, exercise, companionship, and care their pet needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I look forward to rather than simply another task on my schedule. I believe pets are happiest when their normal routine is maintained, so I take the time to learn each pet's individual needs and preferences. During drop-in visits, I'll ensure your pet has fresh food and water, potty breaks as needed, playtime, companionship, and plenty of affection. For cats, I'll also scoop litter boxes and keep their area clean and comfortable. For dogs, I'll provide safe, enjoyable walks tailored to their age, energy level, and abilities. Whether your dog enjoys a brisk walk or a slower-paced stroll with lots of sniffing and exploring, I'll make sure they get the exercise and attention they need. I treat every pet as if they were my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

About: I have had pets in my home since I was a child and pets gravitate towards me. I would love to take your dog for a walk and fetch in the park, or take care of them overnight. My dog & I frequently enjoy hours together in the river valley and he would love a companion. If you’re not comfortable with that (though he is a sweetheart), I can walk your pup solo! I’ll always be sure to have water on hand, and if permitted, treats! You can rest assured that your dog (or cat or ferret) will be safe and happy in my care. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I will be happy to give you anymore relevant information! I work evenings and weekend brunches at a restaurant, so I can walk your dog any day of the week! Usually available same day for last minute needs I live in a gated community downtown so your pet would be safe in my home. I also drive a Ford escape so there’s plenty of space for multiple dogs in my vehicle for transportation to walks.

About: I am an educator that has gone to peoples homes to work with children. My favourite part is all of the different pets I get to see which they all love me. I work part time for the county doing customer service and tutor sometimes in the evenings. I can be gone from 6-8 hours on some days or home all day depending on my schedule. I love to spend all of my free time cuddling with pets or going on walks ❤️. I am a very clean individual and so I always like to make sure I leave it just as clean when I leave. We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter than Zoe. She did drop-in visits for our four cats over two weeks and truly went above and beyond in every way. Her communication was excellent—she provided detailed notes after each visit along with lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Zoe also took amazing care of our home. She even shoveled when it snowed and brought in packages that arrived while we were gone, which was incredibly thoughtful. When we returned, the house smelled fresh and clean—not like litter at all—which says so much about the level of care she put in. We would absolutely recommend Zoe to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring pet sitter.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
