“Sherrie and her family were amazing with our pups. We could sense how comfortable our pups were with them and it was evident how well cared for and loved our pups were, while in their care. During pickup, after their initial excitement of seeing us, our younger pup tried to follow Sherrie back into her home as she went in to get their bag. This is a glowing endorsement for us as he normally sticks to is like glue! Sherrie also provided daily text and/or photo updates which put our minds at ease. This was our first Rover booking and we were unsure of what to expect, but seeing our pups looking so relaxed and happy confirmed that we had found a perfect home/pet sitting family for our pups. We have already booked our second stay with Sherrie and we hope that we she will always be available when we need to book a stay on Rover.”

“Penny had a great time with Andrea and Bernal. Everything was smooth with drop up and pick up on our end and we got photo updates, which was wonderful! We’ll definitely see if they can watch Penny again :)”

“Renee is amazing. After not boarding our senior dog for a few years, Renee put us at ease right away. Her space is very comfortable & accommodating to fur babies. We knew our little dog was in good hands. She also sent us photos to let us know our little dog was doing just fine. We highly recommend Renee for your pet sitting needs.”

“Casey did an exceptional job taking care of Kiro. He would keep us updated daily with pictures and Kiro was definitely spoiled. I would highly recommend Casey if u need a sitter. Will definitely come back. Thank you Casey and Shauna!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jeremy and Tina! They boarded our dog, Shandoh, for six days, and we couldn't have asked for better care. They consistently sent photos and videos throughout his stay, which gave us great peace of mind. We especially loved seeing updates from their walks and trips to the dog park. It was clear from every update that Shandoh was happy, active, and enjoying himself. When we picked him up, he looked relaxed and content, and it was obvious he had been well cared for and treated like part of the family. Thank you, Jeremy and Tina, for taking such great care of Shandoh. We highly recommend you to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring pet sitters and would gladly book with you again! 🐾😊”

“Again Trish and her wonderful and caring family pulled through allowing to to leave the country for over a week knowing our babies are well taken care of with videos and pics sent frequently. SUPER TRISH!!!”

“Our dog Emma had the best time with Jinny. Jinny was great at keeping us up to date on how Emma was doing. I definitely recommend Jinny and we'll be using her services again.”

“Chelsea is amazing with our little pom Coco. We get multiple updates a day about his feeding, walk, sleeping and play schedule. He is always delighted to see Chelsea when we drop him off. She is such a good dog auntie.”

About: We know firsthand that dogs are family. We cared for our beloved dog for 11 years through two knee surgeries and several other procedures due to genetic health issues, giving her the best care every step of the way. That experience taught us patience, responsibility, and how to recognize when a dog needs extra attention. We provide a calm, loving home, daily walks, plenty of affection, and will follow your dog's routine exactly as you request. We treat every dog like one of our own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away. We both work full-time Monday to Friday, so we're best suited for dogs that are comfortable being home alone for up to 8 hours during the workday. Every dog gets a morning walk before we leave, an evening walk when we're home, and lots of love and attention afterward. On weekends we're home most of the day, so your dog will have plenty of companionship, playtime, and cuddles. Your dog's safety and comfort are our top priorities. We'll follow your dog's feeding schedule, medication routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions exactly as requested. We treat every dog like a member of our family and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. We also volunteer with an incredible pet rescue in Edmonton dog sitting for fosters while they wait for their forever home and absolutely love everything about it. All dogs we watch will 100% be treated like royalty 💜 We also have a toy box full of new toys where your incredible pet gets to bring home their favorite toy after their stay 🥰

I can make time for your fur babies anytime! I live in an apartment but there is a huge grass park right behind my building as well as we are super close to Rundle Dog Park and play parks within walking distance for all our furry friends! I am currently a stay at home mom with lots of time on her hands! Pet care is already apart of my daily routine with my own furry and feathered friends! I treat my animals like I treat humans, they really are my best friends! I am very flexible with training types and different care needs as long as it is communicated before hand.
“Jessica was really great. Our dog got multiple trips to the dog park and walks. I got lots of updates, which provided a lot of comfort since she was a new sitter. Our dog had lots of opportunities to cuddle with Jessica, too. I’d recommend and will use again.”

“Exceptional Dog Sitter-Highly Recommended Terry is an exceptional dog sitter. A true animal lover. Kind, caring and compassionate. I had to go away for 5 days and I’ve never left my dog with anyone except my daughter. He’s old and gets scared and nervous. I was very concerned because of his age and health. After my daughter recommended Terry; I gave him a call. Our chat left me with great confidence and peace of mind. Throughout my entire trip he kept me informed with regular updates and photos. My dog Bear is 14 years old and suffers from anxiety cognitive impairment and joint pain. Terry took the time to comfort him and provide his morning and night meds. He truly is a gem. You will know what I mean when you meet him or talk over the phone. He gets a 5⭐️. Peggy”

“Yan and Guodong were wonderful with my Yvie. They sent regular pictures and videos and it was so reassuring to know that she was in excellent hands while I was away. Yvie is a nervous dog at first, but you coukd tell that they were being so gentle and supportive to her and she had a wonderful week with them. highly recommend!”

“Brett & Brooklyn were great sitters! We did a meet & greet before my dog's stay. They provided updates and photos. They have a fenced in yard and we're able to accommodate a later pickup time.”

“Thank you SOOO much Wendy Ashley and Christine for taking exceptional care of Belle. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for her. The photos and texts let us feel connected with Belle while we were away. Thank you again. We look forward to having Belle stay with you again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
