“Murray and Patricia. Just wonderful people. It was my first time leaving my boy Ryder with a sitter and not a kennel. He was so comfortable with them. They sent pictures and updates. He was a very happy boy when we picked him up. We will definitely be using them again. Thank you again! Murray and Patricia.”

“I definitely recommend this household and would book again with them anytime. My dog had never been boarded with anyone before and he is an older guy, stuck to his routine. Shalet has a calm, positive energy that helped him settle in. Following their dogs around also helped my dog come out of his shell and he ended up being pretty well entertained. I also appreciated the daily updates during the 10-day stay.”

“Choosing Jinny to care for our furry family member was the best decision we made! From the moment we met, their genuine love for dogs was evident. Our pup was treated to daily walks, playtime, and even special treats. We received regular updates and photos, which eased our minds while we were away. With Jinny, we found not just a caregiver, but a true companion for our pet. We highly recommend her services to any dog owner seeking top-notch care and peace of mind.”

“Love the way she handled Smartee & Scooter. Happy with the updates. Nice to hear complimenting words and Smartee & Scooter are well-mannered. Excellent boarding experience!”

“Carole and her family were very kind and made sure our Maggie was safe and had a pleasant stay. Although Maggie was happy to see us she was in no rush to leave and followed Carole back into her house. I would highly recommend Carole as a dog sitter and would definitely utilize her again. Thank you Carole!”

“Jennifer did an amazing job taking care of our two Australian Shepherds while we were away. From the moment we dropped them off, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. She kept us updated with regular photos throughout the week which really helped us relax and enjoy our trip. When we picked them up, they were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious they had stayed active and settled into a comfortable routine—like a true home away from home. We’re so grateful for the love and attention Jennifer gave them and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

“Amazing, Eunji and Chanmin did an amazing job with our dog and sent lots of updates throughout the day. We will definitely use them again if we need someone to look after our dog!”

“Thank you Michelle for taking such good care of our pup Rylee. It was clear from the start that she was comfortable with you and your family and it was wonderful to go away and know that our pup was safe and well cared for. We will book again I am sure!”

“Stacey is always fantastic to deal with. Every interaction is genuine from booking to pick up, and she goes above and beyond to ensure the best care possible. We would not hesitate to have Stacey sit Sputten again.”

“Thank so much for your patience with Daisy. She took a couple days to warm up to sharing her space with other dogs, but Diane was super supportive and caring. Daisy settled in and has come home much less anxious about other dogs. In fact, when Daisy was a the off-leash she was looking for all the new friends she made. She used to avoid other dogs, now she’s going up and meeting dogs. It’s great! Thank you Diane!!!”

About: We know firsthand that dogs are family. We cared for our beloved dog for 11 years through two knee surgeries and several other procedures due to genetic health issues, giving her the best care every step of the way. That experience taught us patience, responsibility, and how to recognize when a dog needs extra attention. We provide a calm, loving home, daily walks, plenty of affection, and will follow your dog's routine exactly as you request. We treat every dog like one of our own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away. We both work full-time Monday to Friday, so we're best suited for dogs that are comfortable being home alone for up to 8 hours during the workday. Every dog gets a morning walk before we leave, an evening walk when we're home, and lots of love and attention afterward. On weekends we're home most of the day, so your dog will have plenty of companionship, playtime, and cuddles. Your dog's safety and comfort are our top priorities. We'll follow your dog's feeding schedule, medication routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions exactly as requested. We treat every dog like a member of our family and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. We also volunteer with an incredible pet rescue in Edmonton dog sitting for fosters while they wait for their forever home and absolutely love everything about it. All dogs we watch will 100% be treated like royalty 💜 We also have a toy box full of new toys where your incredible pet gets to bring home their favorite toy after their stay 🥰
“First time ever using Rover or boarding our dog. Our pup is very much loved and well cared for in our home and we had absolutely no concerns leaving her with Crystal for the first time. We had multiple daily updates with photos and upon our return it was obvious that she had been very well cared for. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Danae was so great. She took my booking with only a few weeks notice, came for a meet and greet, and thought carefully how to introduce my kitty into her home. She sent me frequent updates and my kitty clearly loved her.”
“I was very nervous about using this at first but Pamela was very understanding not only with myself but also with my little lady bugs as well would love too book again 😀 and thanks again”

“Adesola was absolutely amazing with Kolbi! From the moment I dropped Kolbi off, I felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. Adesola kept me updated with sweet messages and photos, which truly meant the world to me and made my time away so much less stressful. Kolbi came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well loved — it was obvious he received so much attention, playtime, and affection. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with Adesola again in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter! 🐾”

“We could see that, our dog, Asia was having fun and well taken care of during her stay. Terry would send us frequent messages and photos of Asia relaxing and playing with the other dogs. These updates put us at ease during our vacation. We would highly recommend him and will definitely be booking his service in the near future.”

“Loved Natasha! She took great care of our large fur ball! He made friends with both of her dogs, went for walks and enjoyed her attention. He didn’t even seem that anxious to get home lol. He was very comfortable there. Definitely will be back if we need care again! Thanks Natasha!”

We dropped our dog Joey off for a weekend with Joelle and she had a great time! Joelle provided updates and pictures which we loved. When we picked Joey up she was pooped from a weekend of playing. We would be happy to leave Joey with Joelle again in the future.

Jennifer once again took great care of our dog Marshall. He has some medications he has to take and Jennifer always provides daily updates and photos about Marshall's day. This time, we left Marshall for 15 days and we got updates every day. A complication came up during the stay and Jennifer handled it great and kept us in the loop.

Derek and Tara boarded our dog for over a month and did an excellent job. Our dog presented them with issues we had not experienced. They reported the issues, asked for advice and then dealt with her (dog) patiently and kindly. We highly recommend them for your dog sitting needs.

This was our second booking w Lucy, and I could tell by the way Moon greeted Lucy that he loves his time with her- he was literally jumping with joy when he saw her. Communication was easy, Moon was happy and had lots of walks and attention. This is a silly small detail - moon is a white dog, and he came back with clean eyes and fur - i know this means that daily Lucy was giving him the same kind of care he gets at home with us. We will definitely use Lucy again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
