About: I have been pet & housesitting since the age of 10 & owned many animals of my own including guinea pigs, dogs, cats, & rabbits. I’ve also worked in a dog kennel previously and have experience caring for various breeds and temperaments of dogs, have administered various medications and prepared meals according to specific dietary needs. I’m highly responsible & will care for your pet as I would my own. I’m currently a full time student living near the university. I’m now on summer break, working part time. Feel free to contact me, we can discuss your needs and I may be able to work around certain things in my schedule. I will respect your home and follow your instructions for pet care so that your furry friend feels safe & loved while you’re gone. I’m happy to send photo updates as well and keep in contact as I know how hard it can be to be away from them. I will ensure your home is respected and am comfortable cleaning up after pet messes if needed.
About: I've taken care of pets ever since I can remember, all the way from dogs to lizards. I have always been passionate about pet care since I was a little girl because I believe animals are the most misunderstood gift that humans have been given. I understand that all animals require that we pay attention to their specific means of communication and needs. I am knowledgeable in gaining the trust of pets, advanced in hygiene maintenance, capable of medicinal administration, proficient in providing pets exercise and abiding by and understanding diet restrictions. I am fully available for pet care for all hours during the day, and am able to do overnight stays with pre arranged appointments. If a long multiple day stay is required I need time to go back to my home for 1 or 2 hours during the day to take care of my own pet. I care for pets in my client's home given that they provide clear instructions for how they want me to care for their pet and they make me aware of the supplies and resources their pet requires. If I am to do an in home appointment, I require a phone call and one in person meeting to get to know you and your pet.
“Jonathan took great care of Cecily. He sent cute pictures of her, and sent me daily updates. I wasn’t worried one bit during my trip. I highly recommend Jonathan for your pet sitting needs!”

“Followed all my instructions for my very particular cat, and even went back twice in one day to make sure my kitty was staying cool on a hot day! Definitely recommend and will be booking again!”

“Ava was excellent! She was quick and easy to communicate with and she took great care of our boys while we were exploring Sicamous and the Wineries! Would love to have her again when we return for another vacation! Highly recommend.”

“I am avwry happy with Eunji. She's on time and sends lots of videos and photos and updates when she comes over. My dog Nigel loves her and I recommend Eunji to everyone who's looking for a dog sitter.”

About: I've had dogs and cats most of my life until the last few years. I can provide care as needed by you and your pets. I'm flexible with availability. I can work around different schedules, in many instances, to allow for different care needs for feeding or walks, or play. I treat them as my own, feeding, playing, or just giving attention based on the needs of you, or your pets, while you are away.
“I wanted to say thank you to Kevin for taking such good care of my little guy. Kevin went over and above for my little guy taking him on walks and spending time with him while I was away from work. I felt at ease knowing my pup was well taken care of while I was away. Very happy with the service thank you again Kevin so much!!”

“Ardele was very professional and loving towards my 2 cats while we took our first big trip away from them. I felt totally comfortable leaving them in her hands. We had daily updates and pictures so it made our trip less stressful knowing they were being looked after so well. Side note, one of my cats is a little snarky and Ardele was able to make friends with him in no time ❤️”

“Judy was not only a fantastic sitter but an exceptional photographer as well! She went above and beyond during the visits, provided excellent communication and care for the felines, and as mentioned snapped some flattering pics of my two cats! Thank you Judy for the peace of mind and comfort you provided.”

“Andrea is amazing, we love her and more importantly Bee loves her, she’s so polite, clean, caring, patient, and active with our pup! Lots of walks and snuggles. 11/10 awesome”

“I do not have enough positive things to say about our experience with Cynthia. Although new to the rover scene, her love of animals and attention to detail is so obvious. My guys immediately took to her upon first meeting - and I knew we had made the right choice! She truly went over and above to ensure that both our home and our precious kitties were safe and happy while away. I would not hesitate to recommend her in any capacity for your pet sitting needs 12 out of 10. Thank you, Cynthia!!!!!”

“Was very easy to book with and when there was an issue with the booking they were quick to help me fix it. Great report and update on my pup. Followed instructions. Will book again in the future!”

About: I grew up in a household with dogs and as an adult had an energetic husky, after his passing we got an orange long haired tabby cat who had moved to Calgary with our son. I miss the interaction with pets which is why I would like to help you with care of yours. I have recently retired and so I’m available during the week until 5 pm. I’m flexible of course should your needs go outside my regular schedule. Since we have no pets in the house, I would love to open our house to your beautiful pet or I can come to you.
“Sarah-Beth is fantastic and we will definitely seek out her services again. Our adult cat was in the middle of adjusting to the crazy kitten we had brought into our home and Sarah-Beth navigated it all perfectly. We especially appreciated the fun and reassuring photos and videos and we came home to happy cats.”

Saffy was quite well cared for while I was away. My plants were kept alive and I was informed about the storm we had plus photos!!! Everything was great. Plus I got photos of mail. Anick even checked my basement for flooding. Thank you for everything!!! You are a rock star!!!

Sarah-Beth has done a wonderful job coming in to look after my two cats. She followed all instructions, the cats are both fed, watered, cleaned after and very happy and my home is exactly as I had left it. This is my first time trying this service and she has done an exceptional job. I would gladly look to her for this again should I need to. Thank you, Sarah-Beth!
Victoria is awesome and agreed to my cat-sitting request on fairly short notice. Meet-and-greet was set-up and I had a chance to introduce her to my cats. Well, my older cat stayed and made friends and the younger ones took a bit longer. I received daily photos and videos while I was away. Ho Chi and, finally, Phnom made their appearances and enjoyed their time with Victoria. All the cats were happy! I would definitely book with Victoria again! Thank you!

Madison took great care of our cat while we were away for two weeks. She was reliable, sent lots of photos and updates, and gave us peace of mind during our trip. Our cat was happy and well cared for when we returned home. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her.

Kevin checked in on my two cats during a weekend that I was out of town. He was calm and attentive to instructions and provided much-needed attention for my very social cats, as well as crucial insulin administration for my diabetic cat. I'll be in touch with him for future catsitting.

There are 1,194 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Rideau Park. About 87% of Rideau Park sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Rideau Park stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rideau Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
