“Yan and Guodong took such amazing care of Ginger and kept us updated on her everyday. We really loved the effort they put in taking care of Ginger. Highly recommend them to everyone. We will keep booking them :)”

“Gordon and Nina have a beautiful home and yard they welcomed my dog Nyx into. She settled in quick for her weekend away. Seemed to have been well cared for with lots of play time. Provided me with nightly videos of Nyx. Would send Nyx to them again.”

“Our dogs were in great hands and were very happy with Ashley! She communicated and sent photos. When I picked them up everything was organized and clean, both pups were well groomed. Thank you”

“Once again Camp Leader Tricia provided excellent care for my dog Sully! Walks and playtime and raspberry picking and saving him from the nasty wasps! Couldn’t ask for a better camp experience for my floofball! PS. We call Sully’s time with Tricia Summer Camp because he always has such a good time and comes home happy and exhausted. :)”

“It was our first time leaving our pups with a boarder that is not family and I must say that we lucked out! Trish was wonderful with our two pups. She was responsive and gave us lots of updates and photos. Even though it was just for one night, we had a peace of mind that our pups were being well taken care of. They came home happy and relaxed.”

“Andrea was so great with my Clover! She sent me pictures and updates all the time and is clearly a true animal lover. I can always tell how Clovers experience was somewhere based on how stressed she is on the day of pick up. She seemed only minimally stressed (normal) and was very playful. I would definitely bring Clover back for another stay.”

“True Dog Lovers! Karen and Dan were amazing to our 2 dogs, daily walks, check in's and pictures. They really treated our dogs like there own, they got to know them and understand their personalities very quickly. Our dogs take a while to warm up and can be shy, but within a day I could tell (through pictures) that they were VERY comfortable and their true goofy personalities were showing. One of our dogs got sick for a day, Karen and Daniel followed the appropriate steps, kept us in the loop and our dog was fine the very next day. Probably thanks to the the rice meal they whipped up. Highly recommend! I will be booking vacations/weekends away around their schedules from here on out!! I feel very happy and comfortable leaving my dogs with them. I feel like they go above and beyond and treat them maybe even better then we do at home. It makes vacation and time spent away so much easier.”

“Joelle and her husband did another amazing job of taking care of our Eva. She was always fast to communicate, send photos and videos often, and truly treated Eva like one of the family! Eva and their dog Minnie are the best of friends and it made us so happy to know she was loved and cared for while we were gone for 3 weeks. They truly did a wonderful job and we can’t recommend enough!”

“Our very precious Jeeya had a very loving home away from home @Nick and Darling's home! They took such good care and regularly posted photos and sent messages which helped me calm down, not worry and concentrate on my work. When I picked up Jeeya after 6 days of stay with Nick and Darling, she looked very happy and very well taken care of! We will definitely go back to them when we need a home away from home for Jeeya! Thank you guys for taking Jeeya in and caring for her so well. Thanks again! Archana”

“Casey and his wife are unreal. I left my 13 year old frenchie in their hands for almost 3 weeks while I was on vacation in Japan. They took such great care of him! He even seems to have better mobility now and appears much happier! Thank you Casey!!!!”

“Our dog Olie had a wonderful time with Brenda. She walked him, played with him, made sure that he was 100% relaxed. It was lovely to get updates as to how he was doing. Thank you Brenda for caring so much.”

“Sonja kept me updated daily with photos and sent some great shots of what Ruby was doing. Ruby obviously loved being with Sonja and her family. Not only did I have a holiday, but Ruby got one too. I am sure she will miss them and I won’t hesitate to book again. Already thinking about a shorter trip later in the fall! Thanks so much Sonja.”

“Michelle was amazing. Ruby was so calm and relaxed with her from the very first meeting. She accommodated all Ruby's quirks and took time to ask questions and make sure she knew her routine. She kept me updated throughout the stay and it looked like they had a great time!”

“I recently went on vacation and, although I was initially hesitant to leave my pets with a stranger, I decided to give Pamela a try based on her reviews. I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Pamela, along with her helpers, provided exceptional care for my pets over the weekend. Despite not knowing her personally, Pamela proved to be a great pet parent. Her dedication and love for animals were evident from the moment we met. My pets were well taken care of and seemed very happy and comfortable when I returned. Pamela will definitely be my first choice for pet care any time I need to be away. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter!”

“Tricia took excellent care of our toy poodle. She sent lots of pictures and we could see he had a great experience. Tricia is very expienced in working with animals and our dog really liked her and was happy staying there.”

couldn’t be happier with the care Emma received! I loved getting lots of pictures throughout her stay—it was so reassuring to see how happy she was and that she was having such a great time, even without me. It really put my mind at ease and made being away from her so much less stressful. I would absolutely recommend Jill 10/10. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Emma!

Heather and her family were so wonderful to work with. They kept us in the loop with how our puppy was doing throughout our trip. They even returned her back to us nice and played out (which is not an easy task). We really appreciate you caring for our baby. Thank you so much!

Tianna was so great with my dogs! I let her know I was going to be difficult to reach but she sent photos every other day and took really good care of the dogs regardless. The stay was extended due to travel issues and Tianna was very easy to work with on the schedule changes, she was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend and book again

My cats had a wonderful stay with Nichole. This was the longest that I had ever left my girls, and Nichole was wonderful about sending pictures and little anecdotes every couple of day. I could see that they were doing well, and being well cared for. Thank you Nichole.

Genaro and Jackelyn were amazing hosts for my pup. They were able to accommodate us very last minute, and were very flexible if we had a change of plans. They have a lovely family home that I think any pup would find comforting. I would highly suggest this incredible family to anyone!!!!

Sydney was amazing with our Enzo! We left for 11 days and he looked like he was so relaxed. He was showing his belly, cuddling with her and honestly we weren't sure he wanted to come back home after haha. Thank you Sydney for being so good to our baby! Also really appreciated the photos everyday and recap of how he was during the day. We would recommend Sydney to anyone who is anxious about leaving their dog. She also walks our friends dog and is always punctual and communicative with them. Can't say enough good things about Sydney!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
