“Nico had another wonderful stay! Tricia provides regular updates through her dog log, which gives great peace of mind. Nico always comes back happy and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“From the moment I met Trish, I knew my boys would be in great hands! They are usually quite nervous around new people and in new places, but they instantly took a liking to Trish. She send tons of photos throughout their stay and always kept me in the loop as to what they were up to. It’s very clear that Trish adores dogs and I would have 0 hesitation in bringing my dogs back for another stay.”

“My dog Barley had a great first visit! Large backyard to run around and 2 little dogs to keep her company. Once I brought her home she stared out the patio doors for hours probably waiting for her dog friends to show up❤️”

“I am so grateful for the wonderful care they provided for my dog, Pancho. He was treated with such kindness and affection, and it was clear that he felt right at home when we went to meet them as well as when he was picked up after our trip. The whole family was so incredibly caring and attentive, ensuring that Pancho was well taken care of with plenty of treats and walks. The pictures we received from Andrea gave us lots of reassurance that he was in great hands. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a loving place for their pets. Again, Thank you so much! :))”

“This is the second time we have left Cooper with Karen and Dan and just like the first time they were great. Dan took Cooper on long walks each day. Karen also provided regular updates and pics throughout Cooper’s stay. In every way, they continue to reinforce that Cooper is in very good hands and while we miss him greatly we are confident that he is being well cared for. We will definitely use their service’s again.”

“Alexander was great with Maisy. It was her first time away from me and he had her for 5 days. Alex took her to the dog park or for nice walks even though it was raining a lot on those days. She really enjoyed playing with his beagle Macy. Would definitely use again and highly recommend. Thanks very much Alexander!!”

“We found Yan & Guo were very kind, friendly and communicative. They took in Clover at last minute. They took a very good care of Clover and she was happy during her stay. Yan & Guo regularly provided updates and even shared photos + videos. We are impressed will repeat with them.”

“Oh my goodness, there aren’t enough words to say how amazing Heather and her family are! My dog has had knee surgery recently, and Heather happily and confidently accepted the challenge! I wasn’t worried at all while I was away, knowing that Rosie was in the best care possible. I’m so grateful for the high quality care, and for the comfort and reassurance provided. Thank you so very much Heather!!”

“Sonja and her family are my first choice to watch my pup when I'm away. I was overseas for two weeks and due to the time changes, mistakenly booked my pickup a day before I actually arrived home - a mistake I discovered on the day I was scheduled for pickup, while I was in-transit in the UK! Sonja was wonderful and able to accommodate my dog for the extra night on short notice. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to board their dog.”

“It is very apparent that Brenda loves dogs. She took amazing care of my girl, with lots of walks and working with her on obedience. My dog was so happy with her. I felt so confident leaving her in a home that I knew she would be loved.”

“Michelle and her family were so lovely with our dog and so kind at every interaction. We knew Bo was well cared for while at their home and we were lucky to find them.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wild Rose
Heather and her family were so wonderful to work with. They kept us in the loop with how our puppy was doing throughout our trip. They even returned her back to us nice and played out (which is not an easy task). We really appreciate you caring for our baby. Thank you so much!

Jill is developing a nice relationship with Raven! They are learning each other and having a great time! Raven is also making friends with Jill’s other fur-balls and clearly is well-cared for! Jill communicates well, sending updates and pictures - which we greatly appreciate! See you soon, Jill! Thank you!

Tianna was so great with my dogs! I let her know I was going to be difficult to reach but she sent photos every other day and took really good care of the dogs regardless. The stay was extended due to travel issues and Tianna was very easy to work with on the schedule changes, she was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend and book again

My cats had a wonderful stay with Nichole. This was the longest that I had ever left my girls, and Nichole was wonderful about sending pictures and little anecdotes every couple of day. I could see that they were doing well, and being well cared for. Thank you Nichole.

Genaro and Jackelyn were amazing hosts for my pup. They were able to accommodate us very last minute, and were very flexible if we had a change of plans. They have a lovely family home that I think any pup would find comforting. I would highly suggest this incredible family to anyone!!!!

Sydney was amazing with our Enzo! We left for 11 days and he looked like he was so relaxed. He was showing his belly, cuddling with her and honestly we weren't sure he wanted to come back home after haha. Thank you Sydney for being so good to our baby! Also really appreciated the photos everyday and recap of how he was during the day. We would recommend Sydney to anyone who is anxious about leaving their dog. She also walks our friends dog and is always punctual and communicative with them. Can't say enough good things about Sydney!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
