“Christina walked my high energy dog while I was away on vacation. Always punctual and Murray clearly misses her as he waits by the widow during what was their scheduled times. Will definitely use her again when needed. Thanks Christina!”

“Ashley came for a meet and greet with Marley. This was great so they would both have a chance to meet with me there. Using this app I received daily updates, walking route and Ashley sent photos. Eventhou Marley got sick after first visit Ashley still went over to check on her and sent me updates. Appreciate the care she gives and the updates and photos. The process was professional and easy to use. Thank you”

About: I have grown up with pets and always had a pet in my home. No matter how busy I am I always ‘paws’ to pet animals I meet. Friends describe me as very patient, big hearted, helpful and kind. I work full time. I have evenings and weekends off. I follow the school calendar for work so I often have spring, winter and summer breaks off of work. These are also times I would love to care for puppies and dogs! I have a fenced yard. I live by a large school yard, walking trails and an off leash dog park. I have 3 cats so pups coming to my home should like cats. If I am visiting your home to walk, play with and/or feed your pet(s), I will always be respectful of your home and care guidelines. I will provide you a link to a document with photos/videos and updates of your pet’s activities, to put your mind at ease. They will be well cared for.
About: IN EDMONTON FROM APRIL 30 to MAY 18 :) can take house sitting, dog walking and drop ins. Moving to Nanaimo end of May and will be house/pet sitting until I get settled in. Only house sitting, dock walking and drop in visits available. I am the go to for many friends and family for pet sitting! I travel a lot which makes having a dog or cat of my own hard, so being able to care for my friends pets allows me to get that animal therapy I need! I’ve had their pets in my home, or I’ve stayed at their place to watch them if their pet feels more comfortable in their own home. I love going for walks, and spending as much time with them as I can :) I’ve had pets my entire life - dogs, ferrets, and Guinea pigs. But as of now we don’t have any pets. My husband and I stayed at an animal rescue in Colombia, and it was truly paradise to be surrounded by so many dogs and cats that just wanted to be loved! We also pet sat our entire year in New Zealand (using kiwi housesitters). While I’m in Edmonton I’m free all day! End of May I will be working casual as a sonographer in Nanaimo. I will have some days off but some days I will be out of the house from 7-4. So your pet would have to be okay being alone some days. But you can message me to see if they are days where I am not working. Lots of walks and play time provided! As long as I have all the instructions needed to care for your pet, your fur baby is in good hands! I treat each pet as if they were my own.

About: I’ve had a dog before and am aware of how to care for it, walks and outside bathroom use, I am able to go for walks. I’m currently a full time student at the University of Alberta in the Education program. Therefore I am quite busy! However I am looking to make a little bit of income, I am free nights after 3pm and anytime on the weekend. I have a fenced yard as my cats like to explore outside, I do have one outside cat who explores on his own but comes home whenever he pleases. When opening the door I’m well aware of the area and making sure the cats that aren’t outdoor don’t run out. I ensure my kitty’s water bowl is also filled up and litter boxes are clean.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive experience and genuine love for animals. I spent 8 years growing up involved in dog agility and working at a doggy daycare, which taught me how to handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I also have hands-on experience with everything from training puppies to caring for senior dogs. I currently have my own dog, Arthur, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. In addition, I’m a university student studying psychology, which helps me approach each dog with patience, empathy, and attention to behavior cues. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and always committed to providing a safe, loving, and enriching environment for the pets I care for. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I’m very active and love being outdoors. I work part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to fit in walks throughout the day. Making time for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to each week. At the moment, I’m only available for dog walking services. I ensure each walk is safe, engaging, and tailored to your dog’s energy level and needs.

Wild Rose dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kayla was an absolute gem during my two-week vacation. She coordinated seamlessly with my house sitter to ensure smooth pick-up times, and she was incredibly respectful of the safety guidelines I set—especially my request to avoid on-leash introductions between unfamiliar dogs. Her professionalism and attention to detail gave me total peace of mind. Most importantly, my dog adored her! He was visibly excited every time she arrived, and their walks together were clearly the highlight of his day. Kayla will definitely be my go-to walker for any future needs, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and knowledgeable dog walker. The Rover app was a fantastic companion tool throughout the trip. Even while I was out of the country, I received timely updates on each walk, complete with route details and adorable photos. It made me feel connected and reassured, knowing my pup was happy and well cared for. The combination of Kayla’s thoughtful service and the app’s transparency made for a truly stress-free experience.
