About: Hello! I’m a caring and reliable dog lover with hands-on experience caring for family dogs of various sizes and personalities. I’ve been involved in daily care routines including walks, playtime, feeding, and basic training reinforcement. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, pills, and injections, and I have experience bathing dogs and washing muddy paws as needed! I’m currently a Veterinary Technician student at NAIT, which means I can bring both practical experience and growing medical knowledge to every dog I care for. I prioritize safety, positive handling, and maintaining your dog’s routine so they feel secure and happy while you’re away. Whether your dog needs extra patience, medication support, or just lots of love and exercise, I’m committed to treating them like one of my own. I am currently a student, so I have very flexible availability to do any drop ins or walks. Any day of the week or time of day can work for me, feel free to reach out and we can find a time that works for both of us! I care for my three cats and one ball python in my home, looking after all of their needs. This includes feedings, medications, water, tank maintenance and enrichment requirements. And of course playtime and cuddles!
“Lauren is incredibly friendly and fantastic with dogs! I have two big dogs who can be a handful on walks, but she handles them with ease. She’s also kind enough to accommodate a few extra requests after the walk, which I truly appreciate. I highly recommend Lauren—your dog will have a wonderful experience with her!”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, fish, gerbils, and chickens so I have a lot of experience with a wide variety of animal care. My parents believed that kids should be responsible for their pets and always included us in pet care and taught us how to take care of our pets. We also adopted rescue dogs and cats, and my two cats (currently) are rescues, so I have a lot of experience with the varying behaviours of rescue animals, and how to care for them accordingly. I am comfortable giving pets their medication, whether its a pill or liquid, and have taken care of several senior dogs in my extended family. I love learning about pet behaviour and often spend my free time watching pet behaviour experts dissecting different pet behaviours. I am a recent graduate and unemployed so your babies would be my priority! I also have a vehicle and love adventures, which I would be more than happy to bring your pet with me if that is something you would feel comfortable with. I prioritize a pet's comfort, which is why I care for pets in their own homes because it is an environment they are comfortable with. I am well-versed in pet body language and ensure pets feel they have autonomy.
About: I’ve been around dogs of all sizes breeds and personalities my whole life. I am comfortable and confident caring for dogs that are small, large, shy, social young or old. For the past two years, I have volunteered as an advanced dog walker with Edmonton Humane Society, where I have received hands-on training with their expert Behaviour Team. I’m currently completing an online diploma, which gives me a very flexible schedule. This means I’m available for pet care throughout the week and on weekends morning afternoon or evening. Since my studies are self-paced I am able to easily prioritize your pets needs and give them attention time and care they deserve whenever it’s needed. While I don’t host pets in my own home, I have plenty of experience, caring for pets in their own space and staying at clients homes. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and secure in a familiar environment so I always do my best to maintain the usual routine Whether it’s drop visits or overnight stays I treat your home and your pet with the utmost care and respect

Due to my love for animals, I am also a vegan! I own my own business and work from home, I have a very flexible schedule and would love if that schedule included more animals in it!!! As I mentioned, I work from home, so during my breaks I love to hang out with my and your cats! I have a partial fenced yard, but have balcony that my cats love and 10 meter leashes so they can wander the yard if they want to go outside. “Jaden has been with truffles since I got him at 5 months old and I hope she’ll keep seeing him for as long as she is able to! Jaden is wonderful, kind and very loving to truffles. I definitely feel such a peace of mind on the days she sees him since I know hes going to be one happy dog and she’ll treat him just the same as I do! The excitement that truffles has everytime she sees him and the whines when she leaves makes me a 100% sure she treats him so well! Jaden definitely understands high energy breeds. She never called him a bad dog, always understood that truffles wasn’t being stubborn or malicious, and she always complimented him and how much he’s trying to be a good dog. He is finally getting the hang of not pulling and walking nicely on walks and I have Jaden to thank for being so consistent. She gave him confidence, never screamed or got angry at him but also reinforced what I worked on with him on walks so he didn’t regress. I would definitely recommend Jaden to anyone that’s looking for someone that would treat their dog as their own”

Tamarack dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kayla was an absolute gem during my two-week vacation. She coordinated seamlessly with my house sitter to ensure smooth pick-up times, and she was incredibly respectful of the safety guidelines I set—especially my request to avoid on-leash introductions between unfamiliar dogs. Her professionalism and attention to detail gave me total peace of mind. Most importantly, my dog adored her! He was visibly excited every time she arrived, and their walks together were clearly the highlight of his day. Kayla will definitely be my go-to walker for any future needs, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and knowledgeable dog walker. The Rover app was a fantastic companion tool throughout the trip. Even while I was out of the country, I received timely updates on each walk, complete with route details and adorable photos. It made me feel connected and reassured, knowing my pup was happy and well cared for. The combination of Kayla’s thoughtful service and the app’s transparency made for a truly stress-free experience.
