“Yan and Guodong were wonderful with my Yvie. They sent regular pictures and videos and it was so reassuring to know that she was in excellent hands while I was away. Yvie is a nervous dog at first, but you coukd tell that they were being so gentle and supportive to her and she had a wonderful week with them. highly recommend!”

“Thank you for taking our dog in as we are from out of town. We were nervous at first but within minutes we got pictures and constant updates on how our dog was doing. It made it extra special knowing that she will have kids around as she wouldn’t be with ours. Lucy had a great time!”

“Jennifer did an amazing job taking care of our two Australian Shepherds while we were away. From the moment we dropped them off, we felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. She kept us updated with regular photos throughout the week which really helped us relax and enjoy our trip. When we picked them up, they were happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious they had stayed active and settled into a comfortable routine—like a true home away from home. We’re so grateful for the love and attention Jennifer gave them and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

“This is the second time we have left Cooper with Karen and Dan and just like the first time they were great. Dan took Cooper on long walks each day. Karen also provided regular updates and pics throughout Cooper’s stay. In every way, they continue to reinforce that Cooper is in very good hands and while we miss him greatly we are confident that he is being well cared for. We will definitely use their service’s again.”

About: We are very aware of the needs of herding and high energy dogs as we have a Mini Aussie who loves to be active. We do have two cats in the home but they both keep to their own when a new dog or person comes around. We occasionally foster cats through a rescue and have experience with kittens, surgery recovery times and medication administration. We don’t always have fosters in the home and when we do they are residing in a separate room that no other animals have access to. Brooke works 830-430 with a flexible schedule as well as depending on the day can work from home. Brett works a 4 on 4 off night/day rotation. Depending on the way Bretts schedule lines up on your booking request pets boarding in our care will have someone at home majority of the time. We have a fenced yard with no gaps in the fence or under it, central air to keep animals cool during the hot summer and a spare crate if needed so you do not have to carry it over to our home during boarding.
“Dahlia gave our dog the care we were looking for. We were sent photos and videos of her being treated like part of their family, playing in the yard, and getting the exercise she needs. We will use her again for sure.”

“Sonja and her family are all nice people and great with dogs, Luna had amazing time there and I am glad to use Sonja's service. She is very detail oriented and even did a pet report for Luna. I will definitely recommend her and use her again in the near future.”

“Lexia was very professional. She genuinely cares for animals. She asked me questions about my dogs autoimmune disease so she would have the proper knowledge that she needed to administer my dogs medication. She sent me pictures of my dog settling in and looking comfortable in her home as well as out for a nice walk on a sunny day. Thank you again, Lexia. We will be looking to book again in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tamarack
My cats had a wonderful stay with Nichole. This was the longest that I had ever left my girls, and Nichole was wonderful about sending pictures and little anecdotes every couple of day. I could see that they were doing well, and being well cared for. Thank you Nichole.

Sydney was amazing with our Enzo! We left for 11 days and he looked like he was so relaxed. He was showing his belly, cuddling with her and honestly we weren't sure he wanted to come back home after haha. Thank you Sydney for being so good to our baby! Also really appreciated the photos everyday and recap of how he was during the day. We would recommend Sydney to anyone who is anxious about leaving their dog. She also walks our friends dog and is always punctual and communicative with them. Can't say enough good things about Sydney!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
