About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with over 30 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. Pets have always been an important part of my life, and I treat them like family members. I joined Rover because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and want to provide reliable, compassionate care when their owners can't be there. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including senior pets, and I'm comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions. I also have experience with shy and anxious pets and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and earning an animal's trust. Every pet is unique, and I take the time to provide care that matches their individual personality and needs. As a mature, responsible professional, I understand how important trust and communication are. I'll treat your pet as if they were my own and keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident they're happy, safe, and well cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily routine. I currently care for my own senior cat and understand the importance of consistency, reliability, and attention to detail when it comes to pet care. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. When caring for a client's pet, I make it a priority to follow their routine as closely as possible and provide the attention, exercise, companionship, and care their pet needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I look forward to rather than simply another task on my schedule. I believe pets are happiest when their normal routine is maintained, so I take the time to learn each pet's individual needs and preferences. During drop-in visits, I'll ensure your pet has fresh food and water, potty breaks as needed, playtime, companionship, and plenty of affection. For cats, I'll also scoop litter boxes and keep their area clean and comfortable. For dogs, I'll provide safe, enjoyable walks tailored to their age, energy level, and abilities. Whether your dog enjoys a brisk walk or a slower-paced stroll with lots of sniffing and exploring, I'll make sure they get the exercise and attention they need. I treat every pet as if they were my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

“We booked with Paula for our first ever dog drop-in visits and are so glad we did. Paula, gave continual and great updates (with pictures), of the dogs schedule and visits. The pups looked very happy. When we got home, our house was still very tidy- as she cleaned up after our pets. We recommend Paula and will book with her again. Thank you!”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my fur baby, Catherine! You really did an excellent job! I am so glad I found Catherine. I am new to Edmonton and don't have any friends or family here. I was so stressed wondering who would take care of my dog!! I was nervous about having a stranger come in to my home and take care of my dog, but Catherine was very friendly, dependable, trustworthy and put me at ease when I saw her interacting with my dog. My baby got the royal treatment while I was away! She was so kind and catered to my spoiled little pup. I think this was a bit of a vacation for him, too lol Catherine was kind enough to bring in my mail for me as well. Thank you so much!! I could not be more pleased you were wonderful ❤”

“Madalynn was excellent. I have a very anxious, jumpy Great Dane that Madalynn met, and she was very calm about his frustration and anxiety. She worked with him using treats and was able to settle him. She never showed any fear at all! I will have her back again!”

Kim was excellent. She did drop in visits for our 4 cats and cleaned their litter boxes and replenished food and water. She was always punctual and played with the cats. They even greeted her when she came to the door. I would highly recommend Kim and her services.

Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
