About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and can’t imagine life without them. Over the years I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a gentler pace. I currently share my life with two dogs — one senior who’s reactive and needs a bit of extra understanding and structure, and one big, gentle goof who loves everyone. That means I’m very comfortable reading dog body language, managing different temperaments, and keeping walks calm and positive. I’ve also pet sat for friends, including a husky and a pug (quite the duo!), and know how to adapt to each dog’s unique personality and needs. Whether your dog is shy, social, or somewhere in between, I meet them where they’re at. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, being outdoors, and making sure pets feel safe, cared for, and content while their people are away. I build my day around my own dog’s walks, which means I’m outside and active, ready to give each pet the attention, exercise, and care they need. I provide calm, attentive care in your home, following each pet’s routines for feeding, walks, play, and attention. I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. For dogs, I also offer walks tailored to their energy level and personality, ensuring they get exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of positive attention.

Jonathan did great with my cats. They are not very friendly with strangers but he took all the hissing and swats aimed at him in stride. By the end of the booking they seemed to have warmed up a bit and when I came home they were relaxed and calm. Jonathan also injured his knee right before the booking but still did not cancel, even though my apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator. I really appreciated that 🙂. He was extremely flexible with dropping off/ picking up keys and the initial meet and greet. The rover cards were detailed and I loved all the numerous creative pictures I received of the cats. I would definitely book with him again!

Aline and Denis were incredible. They made sure my cat was safe, healthy, and happy. They went above and beyond to make sure we had photos of our kitty when we were away and also sent some lovely videos. They were excellent communicators, were timely, and were overall just a total joy. We will definitely use them again when we travel!

We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter than Zoe. She did drop-in visits for our four cats over two weeks and truly went above and beyond in every way. Her communication was excellent—she provided detailed notes after each visit along with lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Zoe also took amazing care of our home. She even shoveled when it snowed and brought in packages that arrived while we were gone, which was incredibly thoughtful. When we returned, the house smelled fresh and clean—not like litter at all—which says so much about the level of care she put in. We would absolutely recommend Zoe to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring pet sitter.

Alina has completely won over our kitties! They’ve always been a bit suspicious of cat sitters in the past, but they absolutely adore her. She takes such great care of them and always sends thoughtful updates and photos, which gives us so much peace of mind while we’re away. We’re so happy to have found someone our cats genuinely enjoy spending time with. Thank you, Alina—we truly appreciate you! 🐾💕

About: I’ve been around and cared for dogs for as long as I can remember. I have experience with all sizes of dogs from Great Danes to Shih Tzus. I have experience with puppies as young as 6 weeks that need more attention, play time, and potty breaks. But also senior dogs as old as 18 that need more rest and calmer environments. I’m currently working part time but do expect to start my full time summer job soon. Feel free to ask me about my work schedule as my hours and days change weekly. I enjoy very early mornings and evenings. I enjoy morning walks and love being accompanied by others pets. My weekends are usually spent at home and are very slow paced. I like spending time outdoors and occasionally going to the dog park with my friends and their animals. I have a large, fenced off, grass backyard and built in baby gates around my home. My house is mostly carpet which I find more comfortable and safer for the senior dogs that come around.

Anick is the only one I trust to take care of my kitty. After hiring her for years now, she knows my cat well and can give me detailed feedback on how she's doing. My cat is very social and needs stimulation, and I can always tell when I get back from a visit that Anick did an amazing job, because my kitty is happy and well groomed and excited to see me! I really appreciate having the best cat sitter in the city.

About: I have several years of experience caring for both cats and dogs, including my own pets. I’m comfortable with feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, walking, playtime, and basic daily care. I’m patient, responsible, and I always pay attention to each pet’s routine and behavior. I’ll also send photo or video updates so you know how your pet is doing. My schedule is flexible and I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walking throughout the week. I’m especially convenient for clients around Downtown Edmonton and the University of Alberta area. I can usually work around your pet’s normal feeding or walking schedule, and I’m happy to discuss timing in advance. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully and try to keep each pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible. During visits, I make sure doors are secured, food and water are refreshed, litter boxes are cleaned when needed, and dogs are safely leashed before going outside. I also provide photo or video updates after each visit.

About: I grew up with animals since a young age, my family always had dogs and every summer I’d spend months out at my godmother’s farm helping take care of all kinds of animals including a barn full of cats. Professionally I was employed as a groomer/doggy daycare attendant so im well versed in handling animals of all sizes and temperaments! Currently between jobs just trying to make ends meet in a way that brings joy and allows others to know their babies are safe at home while they’re out living life. I’m recently unemployed so I’ve got nothing but time on my hands! I enjoy going for daily walks on my own so I would have no problem having a pet join me on my day. Following whatever guidelines they have set up for their pets! I will hang out with them and take good care of them no matter where we are!

About: My love for dogs know no bounds and I have always experienced their love since I was young. I am really good at making friends with even difficult dogs and I know very well how to take care of them. I can play with them, give them love, take them out for walks and do everything needed for their comfort. I currently have plenty of time as I am a freelance Interpreter/Translator and writer. I am able to adjust my schedule to take care of adorable pets. I am responsible, kind, gentle and playful with my pet and since I love all animals, I will be sure to treat your pet with all the love they deserve. About: I work with everything from high-energy huskies to senior cats, small mammals like guinea pigs and hedgehogs, and animals with histories of trauma, fear, or aggression. My experience spans fostering, rehabilitating, and training dogs in rescue programs, helping them build trust, confidence, and safe social skills before placement. Where most sitters provide food, water, and walks, I provide stability, enrichment, and deep behavioral insight. I read subtle cues, understand stress signals and feeding quirks, and structure environments to keep every animal safe and comfortable. I also serve on adoption committees, giving me insight into what makes successful matches between pets and people. I don’t treat animals as tasks — they’re companions. I provide the structure, affection, and guidance that keeps them calm and confident, even when you’re away. For pets that need extra support, I offer board-to-train options, combining care with targeted behavioral guidance and enrichment. If you want someone who can do more than just check boxes — someone who can support, enrich, and understand your pet’s unique personality while keeping them safe — I’m the sitter for you Pet care isn’t something I “squeeze in” — it’s built into my daily routine. With my own rescue animals at home, and work as a rescue foster coordinator and behavioral analyst, caring for pets is already a natural part of my mornings, evenings, and weekends. Feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and grooming are second nature to me. I plan my day around making sure animals get the time and attention they need — not the other way around. Whether that means early morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or winding down at night with play and comfort, I’ve built my lifestyle around consistency and stability for the animals in my care. On a weekly level, that means: Daily structure (set times for feeding, exercise, and enrichment). Flexibility to adjust for special needs (medications, anxiety, senior pets). Dedicated time blocks to make sure your pets aren’t rushed or treated like a side-task. In short: pet care is my schedule. I live it every day, with my own rescues and any animals trusted to me. Boarding in My Home When pets stay with me, they become part of my household “pack.” I create a calm, structured environment where they can feel safe and included. Feeding, exercise, and enrichment are scheduled consistently with my own pets, but individualized to match each guest’s needs. I’m experienced at integrating new animals, reducing stress during transitions, and giving anxious or high-energy pets the extra time and reassurance they need. Pet Sitting in Client’s Home When I’m in your space, I make sure your pet feels comfort in their familiar environment. I follow your routines exactly — from feeding times to walks to quirks like favorite sleeping spots or special bedtime rituals. I maintain your home respectfully while keeping your pet company, making the transition while you’re away as stress-free as possible. Daily Check-Ins For pets who don’t need full-time sitting, I provide check-ins for feeding, litter changes, short walks, and a little play or cuddle time. I don’t just “pop in and out” — I take time to actually connect, so your pet gets both their basic needs met and a little love and attention to break up their day. Dog Walking Service I provide structured, safe walks that fit each dog’s energy level and personality. Whether that’s a high-energy husky who needs backyard zoomies first, or a senior pup who just wants a slow, steady stroll, I tailor the walk to the dog. Safety, hydration, and positive reinforcement are my priorities, and I never take on more than I can handle safely at once.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
