About: I’ve had cats since I was about 13 and cared for them for most of my life until the last few years. I’ve also looked after friends’ cats and, at one point, cared for both a cat and my dog in the same home. Cats are marvellous (and sometimes wonderfully particular!) creatures, and I’m very mindful of their independence, individual personalities, and need for both space and play. About: I’d love to care for your pup with walks, visits, or overnight hang-outs! I work from home most of the time (setting my own schedule for days in the office) and will be able to spend tons of time with your pup with very few and flexible exceptions. We have our own pup, a young golden retriever who is very social and confident and silly. He plays and gets along really well with other dogs! Dogs who are well behaved, relaxed, and mellow are my favourite, but I love pups who have more energy as long as they listen really well and are gentle and kind :) We can go for walks in our quiet and safe neighbourhood and in the huge field outside our front door, and we can hangout together in our paved and closed off backyard! We are pretty mellow people and love having a pup around to walk and adventure with and to snuggle and chill with. I do not take dogs who do not walk well on a leash (unrelenting pulling is a no-go, but they also don’t have to be perfect or beside me the whole time - they can certainly sniff and explore and enjoy themselves), who are loud (consistent barking or whining), who have destructive separation anxiety, or who are aggressive with or have issues with other dogs or people (reactivity). If you’re in need of a sitter for a longer duration, it’s best if your dog would be comfortable in an office environment where other dogs may be present. It’s easier to accommodate longer stays if I can bring them with me to work, though I am able to work from home any time and certainly over shorter stays. Safety is my top priority followed closely by having fun! When outside I’ll keep your dog on a leash unless we are hanging out together in our closed off backyard.

About: I have taken care of a large assortment of pets. I started dog grooming when I was 16 and did that for 20 years. I also worked at a pet store as a small animal manager. Duties included feeding, cleaning cages, engaging with a wide range of small animals, cats and birds. The department was run efficiently and I trained a small team of employees to aid in all duties. In addition to this, I also managed a grooming salon. I am able to administer medications, including injections. Pets are my sole purpose in life. I have a lot of love to give and your pet will be in competent hands. My daily/weekly routine is spent loving and caring for animals. It’s not just a job, I live for it. It’s my life. I cannot have pets in my own home but I do offer pet sitting in your own home. Your pet will be comfortable in their own home as I maintain any rituals or schedules as determined by the pet’s owner. I also offer dog walking and drop in visits. I’m very thorough and will offer a great experience for your pet.

They provided regular updates which eased my mind and reassured me that my dog was ok. Their own dog is lovely, kind and gentle with my dog being in their space. My dog doesn’t normally get along with dogs but she was very comfortable with Katrina’s dog. I will be definitely leaving my dog with Katrina and Ryan in the future.”

When I arrived to their house he was excited to see me, but when we went to go to the car, he ran back into their home. So he must have had a great time! About: We know firsthand that dogs are family. We cared for our beloved dog for 11 years through two knee surgeries and several other procedures due to genetic health issues, giving her the best care every step of the way. That experience taught us patience, responsibility, and how to recognize when a dog needs extra attention. We provide a calm, loving home, daily walks, plenty of affection, and will follow your dog's routine exactly as you request. We treat every dog like one of our own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away. We both work full-time Monday to Friday, so we're best suited for dogs that are comfortable being home alone for up to 8 hours during the workday. Every dog gets a morning walk before we leave, an evening walk when we're home, and lots of love and attention afterward. On weekends we're home most of the day, so your dog will have plenty of companionship, playtime, and cuddles. Your dog's safety and comfort are our top priorities. We'll follow your dog's feeding schedule, medication routine, exercise needs, and any special instructions exactly as requested. We treat every dog like a member of our family and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pup is in good hands. We also volunteer with an incredible pet rescue in Edmonton dog sitting for fosters while they wait for their forever home and absolutely love everything about it. “Yan & Guodong are a fantastic dog-loving couple and lived up to their word of taking special care of my family dog. I left my Misi with them for 10 days and she was so happy in the daily pics and videos they sent of her and when I picked her up (very much unlike the time when I left her in a kennel for a week - she was so stressed from that experience). I wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with them again - they communicated well and promptly, walked Misi regularly, took her to dog parks and kept her well groomed.
