“Terry is such a great person. Truly cares about the dogs in his care. He spends a lot of time getting the dogs used to their environment and other dogs and himself. Terry has excellent communication and we fully trust our dog in his care. He is going to be our go-to moving forward.”

“Benjamin is such a GEM! Took my pup in last minute. Sent me updates , photos, and videos. I could barely get my dog to leave. Thank you Benjamin for taking such amazing care of my best bud.”

“Katrina and Ryan really stepped up and took incredible care of Odin while we had to be away for a long weekend. After a very positive and relaxed meet and greet with their dog, we agreed it was the perfect fit for everyone. Dropping off and picking up was totally smooth, and we got multiple daily update photos that really helped keep us at ease while being seperated from our pup. It was clear that Odin was lavished with affection and cared for as if he was their very own pup. I would not hesitate to recommend Katrina and Ryan to anyone looking for top shelf service for their loved one.”

“My baby came home so tired, loved, and happy! We got regular updates and so many photos. I didn’t have to worry for a second. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be using Stacey’s services again.”

“This was our first experience with Rover. Yvonne took excellent care of our dachshund for the week we were on holidays. We got daily updates with pics. Would definitely book again and recommend her to anyone.”

“She’s caring and making effort to play with my dog. She make sure to stay with my pet’s routines and send lots of photo and video update. She also messaged me if she had any questions which shows her dedication. She’s flexible with dropping off and picking up time. My dog is high energy and had a great time staying with her family. Thanks Mariana!”

“We leave Muffin with Tricia often but this time we were out of country for an extended period. Muffin stayed with Tricia and Greg for seven weeks, and we can’t thank them enough. Tricia is amazing and took such good care of Muffin; we didn’t have to worry about her at all. She provided us daily updates with lots of pictures and took care of all of Muffin’s needs including walks, grooming, medicines and lots of cuddles. It was a second home for Muffin and we couldn’t have made our trip if it wasn’t for Tricia. Thank you so much!”

“Casey did an exceptional job taking care of Kiro. He would keep us updated daily with pictures and Kiro was definitely spoiled. I would highly recommend Casey if u need a sitter. Will definitely come back. Thank you Casey and Shauna!”

“Karen & Dan went over and above to make sure our pups were well taken care of and spoilt with lots of affection while we were away. The updates and photos were very much appreciated for our peace of mind (and our separation anxiety!!) Thank you so much for welcoming our pups into your home!”

“Jills care for our 13 year old diabetic cat was amazing. I reached out to her last min due to her previous 5 star ratings. Although Jill was booked, she made a special room for our old boy. She provided him an entire room with 2 litter boxes, a double bed and even a flower on the table. He was in a 5 star resort. She created a box for him surrounded by pillows and blankets for him to hide during the storms. She made a ramp for his easy access on and off the bed. Her communication was immediate and so professional. Jill provided us pictures of our old boy a number of times a day along with updates on his eating and insulin injections-that she was excellent at administering. He was cuddled, petted, taken care of and very happy. I would highly recommend Jill for anyone who wants their beloved pet to be in the very best care. We have already booked her again for his next stay. Words cannot say how impressed we are with Jill!”

“We used Brenda service for 5 days for our 5 month puppy. Brenda was so friendly with Max and she taught him so many extra things and also played a lot with him. Brenda was very proactive with communication and keep us informed at every point, that was so nice of her. Max was so happy with her. I highly recommend Brenda.”

“Amazing dog sitter! She and her sons did a great job of taking care of my cockapoo. Sent me pics of her and updated me on what she was up to for the day. I would highly recommend her and I will def use her services again in the future.”

“Kiwi enjoyed her overnight stay with Blaine and Kendra. Thanks for the peace of mind and the regular updates. Really appreciate the attention provided while caring for my senior dog with a back problem… Kiwi is moving around great today!”

“This is the second time I have used Marilyn's services. My little yorkie shitzu Max had surgery two weeks before we were scheduled to leave for our vacation & Marilyn was up for the challenge of following all the special care instructions from the vet so that his leg would continue to heal as it should. She was wonderful & an absolute life saver!”

“Jessica was great at responding to my check ins in a timely manner and gave me.photo updates of my girl resting with her dogs. I felt comfortable and confident that my girl.was well taken care of both physically and mentally stimulated. When I picked her up she was excited to see me but was calm the remainder of the night. I would recommend Jessica to care for your dog.”

“Was so happy to find her on here , she was a wonderful caring woman who treated our baby like her own . Was provided lots of daily photos and updates . Would recommend her !”

We had a wonderful experience with Harsimar! She took great care of Arlo while we were away and made us feel completely at ease. She kept us updated every day with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Arlo and treated him like one of her own. We truly appreciated her kindness, communication, and attention to detail throughout his stay. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we would be happy to have Arlo stay with her again in the future. Thank you so much!

I had such a great experience! They were able to take Ted on short notice, which I really appreciated, especially since I needed care for several days. They kept me updated the whole time with lots of photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious that Ted was well looked after, loved, and having a great time. They were so kind, welcoming, and reassuring from start to finish. I’m so happy to have Ted home, and I know he had an amazing stay. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care for their pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
