“Ben and his wife Deb were such kind people. Ben was very diligent every step of the way. He arranged the meet and greet to ensure that the pet and he were a good fit. This made me feel much at ease as I don’t want to leave my pup with someone irresponsible. The meet and greet was structured very well, chatting with us, having a checklist of questions, and then leaving our dog with him for several minutes to check his behavior without us around. Afterwards, the follow-up messages prior to our pup’s arrival were also sent timely. Finally, when we dropped off our doggo, Ben gave us lots of updates and photos, which were reassuring to know that my pup was safe and having a good time. Will definitely be sending our boy to Ben again! Thank you for being so great with Rafa!”

“Sarah and her family did such an amazing job with our two beagles for the week. They cared for our boys with love as if they were part of the family. We got daily updates and photos and cute little notes about what the fun they were having. When we picked the boys up you could tell they had a fun engaging week, they looked so happy and healthy. We are so happy we found Sarah and will undoubtedly be booking with her again!”

“Jill provided a calm, comforting space for our two dogs while we were traveling over the holidays. As it happens our golden retriever celebrated her first birthday on the day we left and that evening Jill sent us photos from a sweet little birthday party she threw for them (cake, photo backdrop, the works!). We received daily updates and photos of our pups enjoying play time and living their best lives. We picked up two happy pups that were clearly well cared for in our absence. Thank you Jill for providing exceptional care for our babies!”

“Absolutely wonderful. Felt like family taking care of my beloved fuzzy family. I was able to enjoy my holiday without any worries; lots of photos and updates! Highly recommend”

“Absolutely incredible experience with Ana! She stepped in last minute to watch our dog Sadie for two nights and completely exceeded our expectations. Ana sent tons of photo and video updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. Sadie came home happy, calm, and totally pooped out—which is saying something because she’s a high-energy Australian Shepherd! Ana even gave her a bath before we picked her up and sent her home with homemade treats. Truly above and beyond. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be reaching out to her again!”

“She was absolutely great!! She updated me daily with pics and videos of my dog as well as took her on walks multiple times a day. Shes also super nice since we got to her place a bit early and was totally understanding and took our pup right away! Shes amazing!”
“Katrina and Ryan were phenomenal with our dog Jasper. They provided frequent updates of their adventures, and made every moment enjoyable and fun for him. Communication was efficient and effective. They went above and beyond to ensure a safe and fun experience for our dog. We were comfortable and confident leaving Jasper with Katrina and Ryan and we will definitely be booking with them again. Thank you for taking such great care of our boy!!”

“She’s caring and making effort to play with my dog. She make sure to stay with my pet’s routines and send lots of photo and video update. She also messaged me if she had any questions which shows her dedication. She’s flexible with dropping off and picking up time. My dog is high energy and had a great time staying with her family. Thanks Mariana!”

“Exceptional Dog Sitter-Highly Recommended Terry is an exceptional dog sitter. A true animal lover. Kind, caring and compassionate. I had to go away for 5 days and I’ve never left my dog with anyone except my daughter. He’s old and gets scared and nervous. I was very concerned because of his age and health. After my daughter recommended Terry; I gave him a call. Our chat left me with great confidence and peace of mind. Throughout my entire trip he kept me informed with regular updates and photos. My dog Bear is 14 years old and suffers from anxiety cognitive impairment and joint pain. Terry took the time to comfort him and provide his morning and night meds. He truly is a gem. You will know what I mean when you meet him or talk over the phone. He gets a 5⭐️. Peggy”

“The absolute perfect experience from start to finish with Jenn. Clear and timely communication before drop off of Lily, and delightful updates all weekend. I’d never left Lily with anyone other than family and was a bit nervous. Jenn took exceptional care of Lily. A fantastic yard and daily walks. Literally a love bubble for pups at Jenn’s! Her home will be my first choice from now on for Lily.”

“Stacey and her family were amazing! We felt so at ease leaving Sputten with them for the week. What we loved most was the daily updates and photos. They brought so much joy and comfort as we watched him playing with other dogs and cuddling up. Knowing he was happy and safe allowed us to enjoy our vacation. We were super impressed with Stacey’s ability to replace Sputten’s eye drops when the container got damaged and thought she went above and beyond washing his bed upon our return. We will definitely be booking with Stacey again in the future!”

“Ashley was fantastic! From the moment we met for the meet and greet, it was clear she was an animal lover. Our 7 month old cockapoo is prone to anxiety, but she instantly connected with him and made him feel at home. While we were away, Ashley kept in touch with updates, pictures and videos, which we loved! We're so grateful that she took such great care of our pup. We would definitely book with Ashley again.”

“This was our first experience with Rover. Yvonne took excellent care of our dachshund for the week we were on holidays. We got daily updates with pics. Would definitely book again and recommend her to anyone.”

“Jinny was absolutely amazing once again, she took many pictures of Lily and made sure to give me a rundown of everything that happened throughout each day, which was very much appreciated! Would definitely recommend letting Jinny watch your fur babies, and will definitely ask her to watch over Lily again!”

“Trish took amazing care of my two pups. She truly cares about giving you fur babies the best care. My two pups had the best time with Trish. She truly makes our dogs feel like they are at home!”

“Yan and Guodong were wonderful with my Yvie. They sent regular pictures and videos and it was so reassuring to know that she was in excellent hands while I was away. Yvie is a nervous dog at first, but you coukd tell that they were being so gentle and supportive to her and she had a wonderful week with them. highly recommend!”

“This was the first time I ever left my pup with someone else. I'm glad I found the Rover app and Colton made my leaving easy. From the very beginning he was a great communicator, responded quickly to my request which was important as it was a last minute travel plan. He took great care of Yoda and I cannot thank him enough.”

“This was my first time boarding our dog and using Rover. I have to say I was beyond thrilled with Tricia and how amazing she (and Greg) cared for our Goldendoodle. She has an awesome communication tool called the "dog blog" and I got to see him every day walking and playing. I know he was loved and well cared for, so much so I'm not sure he wanted to leave. Absolutely the best and I will use her again in a second as her love for dogs was obvious in everything. Thank you so much for being amazing with our boy!”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Yomi for the past week! Since this was our first time boarding and Yomi hasn't had much experience meeting other people or dogs, I was very worried. However, Eunji & Chanmin were so patient and attentive. Their dog, Tori, was also so sweet and well-behaved, which was a huge help. Receiving daily photos and videos really put my mind at ease, allowing me to fully enjoy my vacation. I’m so grateful and would highly recommend them!”

Heather and her family were so wonderful to work with. They kept us in the loop with how our puppy was doing throughout our trip. They even returned her back to us nice and played out (which is not an easy task). We really appreciate you caring for our baby. Thank you so much!

Alexander was great with Maisy. It was her first time away from me and he had her for 5 days. Alex took her to the dog park or for nice walks even though it was raining a lot on those days. She really enjoyed playing with his beagle Macy. Would definitely use again and highly recommend. Thanks very much Alexander!!

Tianna was so great with my dogs! I let her know I was going to be difficult to reach but she sent photos every other day and took really good care of the dogs regardless. The stay was extended due to travel issues and Tianna was very easy to work with on the schedule changes, she was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend and book again

Genaro and Jackelyn were amazing hosts for my pup. They were able to accommodate us very last minute, and were very flexible if we had a change of plans. They have a lovely family home that I think any pup would find comforting. I would highly suggest this incredible family to anyone!!!!

Sydney was amazing with our Enzo! We left for 11 days and he looked like he was so relaxed. He was showing his belly, cuddling with her and honestly we weren't sure he wanted to come back home after haha. Thank you Sydney for being so good to our baby! Also really appreciated the photos everyday and recap of how he was during the day. We would recommend Sydney to anyone who is anxious about leaving their dog. She also walks our friends dog and is always punctual and communicative with them. Can't say enough good things about Sydney!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
