“Thank you Sarah and hubby for taking good care of Karl. Thank you for accepting him in a very short notice. I know he enjoyed a lot specially playing with your dogs like Junior. I will definitely use your service again when we get back in Edmonton.”

My work will in office Monday to Thursday starting July 20th, 2026. I will only be home Friday for work. I do my best to tailor my routine to your pets needs. I know how Important it is to keep a pets routine the same.
“Thank you for taking care of Kai. The regular communication and timely updates helped me remain in touch without being physically present—I really appreciated that. :)”

“Ana was so kind to my nervous boy, he came home very happy. She replied quickly and accommodated a very last minute a meet and greet. We will for sure be booking Ana again in the near future.”

Including my pet , works to 2 of them in total . Pet care is a core part of my daily and weekly routine. I follow consistent schedules for feeding, walks, exercise, and any special care needs. I make sure every pet receives attentive, dependable care tailored to their habits and personality. naturally structure my day around their needs so they feel relaxed and happy I have a completely fenced yard, no other member apart from my golden and me , so your baby gets unconditional love and undivided attention always .I also house not more that 1 dog along with my pet.
“Ana is a complete lifesaver. We had major renovations start in our home earlier than expected and my dog is 14 years old this month. No way I could leave hom at home with strangers making sounds at all hours of the day! She was able to take him in last minute, and provided many updates, photos, and videos throughout the day. Honestly, he is so excited to go he screams when he knows we are almost there. She takes better care of him that I probably do. I highly recommend Ana. She is really nice, takes great care of animals, and clearly loves them. Even my old mop of a boy.”

“I recently started bringing my dog, Matcha, to Ella's house and the experience has been absolutely wonderful. Ella was fantastic about sending regular updates, photos, and videos throughout the day, which gave me total peace of mind. It was so reassuring to see exactly how well Matcha was being cared for. The real proof, though, was Matcha’s reaction. She clearly had a fantastic time because the next time we arrived, she walked right inside without looking back. If you are looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely loving to watch your pup, look no further than Ella. Matcha and I will definitely be regulars!”

“Took very good care of my pup and gave her good exercise to the point where she didn’t wanna walk/run around at all after which was amazing! Will definitely be using Korinna for all future pup-sitting”

“We were SO happy with the care Umber provided for Maple! She was incredibly responsive and extremely knowledgeable on dog behaviour and training and ensuring our pup felt comfortable and safe in a new environment. Blue and Honey are so sweet and so well behaved and Maple had a ton of fun with them!! She gained two new besties! We would absolutely recommend Umber to anyone.”

“Eunji is fantastic with my dog. She takes videos and pictures all throughout the day to let you know how your dog is doing and keeps in touch. She is full of love and you can tell she really loves dogs and takes good care of them. My dog gets excited and happy when he knows he is going over there for the day. I wouldn't want to bring my dog to anyone else.”

“Lynette is awesome with my mini dachshund, Frank. He is high anxiety, has some medical issues and elderly. She is very calm, careful and loving with him. He is new to being with her and other dogs so he is slow to warm but his 2 visits went very well.”

About: We are very aware of the needs of herding and high energy dogs as we have a Mini Aussie who loves to be active. We do have two cats in the home but they both keep to their own when a new dog or person comes around. We occasionally foster cats through a rescue and have experience with kittens, surgery recovery times and medication administration. We don’t always have fosters in the home and when we do they are residing in a separate room that no other animals have access to. Brooke works 830-430 with a flexible schedule as well as depending on the day can work from home. Brett works a 4 on 4 off night/day rotation. Depending on the way Bretts schedule lines up on your booking request pets boarding in our care will have someone at home majority of the time. We have a fenced yard with no gaps in the fence or under it, central air to keep animals cool during the hot summer and a spare crate if needed so you do not have to carry it over to our home during boarding.
About: I am Sim, lover of all pets, young and old, big and small. I have had pets since I was 5 years old and I am a mommy to my Labrador. I am sure I will pamper your pooch. Any specific requests for them? Let me know! I allow them on my couch, unless you prefer them not to. I always keep the water bowl full and pets happy and healthy. I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. I am currently working casual, so your baby will get non stop attention. Consistent walks, snuggles, and play sessions are the best way to soothe your fuzzy friend. I live in a house with a fenced yard and friendly neighbors! I also have a very welcoming dog who is going to be a great company for your little guy.
About: Missing going on walks with my labs on the farm. Would love to give some doggies care and exercise —my cat is NOT about the leash life. I work on the South side 7:00-3:30, Monday to Friday. Available for both early morning and evening walks on weekdays. Available anytime during the weekend. I have experience with many different breeds and temperaments of dogs, as I used to volunteer at the Edmonton Humane Society dog walking the shelter dogs. I do have a fenced yard if off leash time is better suited for your dog. Felix (my cat) can attest he gets all the attention but I also know when he wants personal space. Cats know what they want.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Laurel commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
