Pet-loving, friendly and fun!
I have had pets in my home since I was a child and pets gravitate towards me. I would love to take your dog for a walk and fetch in the park, or take care of them overnight. My dog & I frequently enjoy hours together in the river valley and he would love a companion. If you’re not comfortable with that (though he is a sweetheart), I can walk your pup solo! I’ll always be sure to have water on hand, and if permitted, treats! You can rest assured that your dog (or cat or ferret) will be safe and happy in my care. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I will be happy to give you anymore relevant information!

Marissa has been wonderful! She has been quick to respond to messages, takes photos during every walk, and consistently shows up on the schedule time. Will continue to use her as our regular dog walker!
Marissa was great with Heimdall. It was also great that she could take last-minute bookings for me. I was babysitting my son‘s dog and I was not used to Rover and Marissa was great and understanding with me.
Pros 1) Marissa was fast at responding to correspondence and provided daily updates 2) She made sure Anouke was fed, medicated, and litter cleaned Cons 1) Security camera showed Marissa bringing her dog to the apartment. I had requested this to not be done as I was unsure how Anouke would react to dogs. 2) I had requested house sitting. Marissa mentioned her dog so I said she didn't need to stay overnight or for too long. I just requested that she do longer than a drop in and spend some time in the house with Anouke. Security camera time stamps show that she spent 10-15 mins at the house 3) There were two days where security cameras show she only showed up 1x a day. Anouke takes medicine 2X a day. This was stated in our chat, on the care sheet Marissa was physically given, and the care sheet I left behind I'd only recommend Marissa for drop in care or house sitting IF you are comfortable with her dog in your home. Overall disappointed with the care Anouke received as it wasn't what was agreed upon

Marissa took care of our two very different dogs, a 14 week old puppy and a 16 year old senior for 2 daytime house sitting visits. She was prompt in communication, arrived on time and clearly cared for our dogs ensuring they were happy and well looked after. We came home to two tired and content pups, and she even cleaned up after a couple accidents. We were happy with her care but more proactive updates and clarifying questions would have helped put us at ease. Overall she did a great job!

Schedule
I work evenings and weekend brunches at a restaurant, so I can walk your dog any day of the week! Usually available same day for last minute needs

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a gated community downtown so your pet would be safe in my home. I also drive a Ford escape so there’s plenty of space for multiple dogs in my vehicle for transportation to walks.

A typical day
I love to play with dogs, so let me know their favourite activities and we can go play fetch or tug of war together. I live right next to Dawson Park which is a great dog park, or my 3 regular clients love going to Buena Vista Park.
