“Christine was amazing! Highly recommended! She was very nice, communicative, and our kitten loved her. Not to mention the photos she took, which I definitely saved and added to my Home Screen rotation 😊 10/10”

About: Dog lover with 5+ years of hands-on experience! Hi! I’m Ashley, and I’ve been caring for, walking, and training dogs for over five years. I lived in a home with my sisters full of pups and currently share my life with Velma, my bright and playful 3-year-old Goldendoodle. I trained her myself from puppyhood and know how much love, patience, and energy dogs need to thrive. I’m attentive and reliable, and I genuinely enjoy building trust with each dog I meet. I’d love to support you and care for your pup as if they were family! I am an active PhD student with flexible schedule, I can plan out regular scheduled walks that fit within my schedule. If you're dog would like a friend, I could bring along Velma my well-trained dog to spend time walking or playing in the park! I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a calm environment. I'm intuitive, caring, and a quick learner, so with clear instructions and goals, I can confidently bond with, walk, and train all kinds of dogs. 😊

“Caring and attentive with my cat. Made sure to pay attention to how to give medication to my cat. Was accommodating to his needs and flexible on timing”

“Kean was so sweet and patient with my dog! Will definitely be using her again.”

“Abigail is terrific with our puppy Tiller. She knows and understands dogs and obviously they have been and will be part of her life - she loves them. She is able to command a rambunctious puppy as well as have fun with him. She’s responsible, responsive, on time, flexible and available. Abigail gets a five plus plus plus in a five star rating.”

“I am so grateful for Emilygrace; she took good care of Rapha, communicated well and shared images.”

“Yelena was great! Super communicative and flexible when there was an issue getting in to the house. One cat was hiding so she was happy to look anywhere I asked in the house to make sure he was still inside. Would book again!”

About: With years of experience caring for cats, dogs, and even chickens, I bring love and reliability to every animal I meet. I’ve rescued and rehabilitated my own cats and understand the unique care they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or specialized routines, your pets will be treated like family. With years of experience caring for cats, dogs, and even chickens, I bring love and reliability to every animal I meet. I’ve rescued and rehabilitated my own cats and understand the unique care they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or specialized routines, your pets will be treated like family. As a reliable and experienced pet sitter, I provide attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs. From feeding, fresh water, and daily walks to litter box cleanup and medication administration, I handle every detail with care. I monitor health and behavior, offer companionship to ease anxiety, and send regular updates so you feel connected while you’re away. I also respect your home—bringing in mail, watering plants, and ensuring everything is secure. Your pets’ safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and raised my current dog since he was a puppy. I also have taken care of friends’ pets in the past. I am usually free on weekends and weeknights. I work most weekdays until around 6 pm, but after that I am available. Weekends I am usually available any time. I will make sure pets are comfortable, happy, and taken care of. I will watch them carefully and make sure they are safe at all times.

“Fantastic dog sitter. She was attentive to my needs and Frijolito's; she gave him his medicine and daily walks. Highly recommended, respectful, and trustworthy.”

About: My family has had pets ever since I can remember, and currently we have two dogs, Georgia (75lb boxer-lab mix) Moki (50lb mutt) and three cats, Jackie, Dan, and Bubbles. Along with walking my family's dogs, I have also done pet-sitting and have walked our neighbors' dogs frequently. I love taking care of pets, one of my favorite activities is snuggling after a long hike! I have another part time job, but do have quite a bit of availability open! Early in the week works best for me. Check my calendar to see specifics ;) I currently am living in a dorm, so no pets for me:( , but at home I walk my dogs often, usually in the woods on short hikes and other forest adventures. My go to dog playing activity is tug of war, my boxer-lab mix is particularly good at it! Pets are very much a part of the family, they are very well-loved and exercised.

About: While I've mostly sat for friends and family in the past, I'm hoping to meet more dogs (and their owners) through Rover! My claim to fame is that I once pet 2 bernese mountain dogs for an hour straight and my fitbit counted it as an elliptical workout. For more athletic and energetic dogs, I consider myself pretty fit and am happy to take them for extended walks, hikes, or runs. I'm currently unemployed, so I have all the time in the world to look after your pet(s). I will start working again mid-August, but will continue have afternoons free for pet care. I wish to respect whatever routine and care is already established for your pet(s). I am very good at following directions, but if you're pet isn't used to a very regimented life, I'm happy to go with the flow and follow their lead. I'm sure most dogs know where the treats are kept anyway ;) I am happy to be as involved or removed from the home as makes you comfortable. Whether it's quality time on the couch or getting outside, I can accommodate whatever needs and wishes you may have for your home and pet.

About: My family fostered dogs from 2nd grade to my junior year of high school, and I was very involved in the training and care of said fosters. When fostering, we often had 2-3 of our own dogs in the household that I also helped take care of. We helped a large variety of dogs find new homes, from puppies to seniors, from sweethearts to hair-triggers. Every single dog that came to our home left healthier, happier, and much better trained. I’m currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule. During the week I’ll often be at work sometime between 2:30-5:30pm, and I will have occasional obligations on Wednesdays. Other than that, I work event security. These events are normally later at night, and I am not required to take any shifts offered. If I am pet/housesitting for you and a security shift conflicts with it somehow, I will be happy to drop the shift (or not take it in the first place, depending on the timing). I am well versed in what dogs can and cannot eat. I find it quite easy to tell when they need to go potty, but err on the side of caution anyways with frequent potty breaks. I will not be overzealous with treats or food, following whatever instructions are provided to me.

About: While life's circumstances have never permitted me to cohabitate with a dog-friend of my own, I have loved dogs since I was a kid. I am lucky to work in a relatively dog-friendly establishment and my interactions with the amazing dogs of Burlington are often the highlights of my day. As an avid walker and adventurer, I love spending time exploring nature and neighborhoods with a canine companion. Ten times out of ten, it's a more beautiful and rewarding experience than walking with headphones in. I hope to one day live in an apartment or house that allows me to invite a full-time dog companion into my life, but until then I am more than happy with the opportunity to assist in the care and well-being of the dogs in my surrounding area. Please don't tell my cat (Martin) that I've said any of this! Currently, I mostly work weekday mornings. My afternoons usually consist of studying, reading, running errands, and exercising/meditating. What is so great about this schedule is that it is very flexible. I am usually free of obligations by noon and can design my own schedule for the day from there. I put a lot of mental and emotional energy into creating a comfortable and stable environment for animals. In my own home, which we humbly share with our cat, we keep a consistent feeding schedule and we play with buddy at least once every day. I try to be receptive and calm in the presence of any animal and to respect their desires and well-being while also trying to maintain order and consistency. I find that sometimes animal care just means sitting quietly in a room with a pet and, when the occasion calls for it, I'm happy just to be there as company. And, of course, I am equally happy to assist in "getting the ya-ya's out."

“Juliette was very professional and responsive! I would trust her again to take care of my cat!”

“Jacob was great for drop in visits for Shark! He was prompt and followed all instructions. I would recommend and would definitely re-book for future care.”

“Emma was amazing, she wrote a great report on how the day went and met my dogs needs. Would definitely recommend her.”

About: Want an animal lover who will enjoy playing with your furry best friend as much as your pet will enjoy it themselves? Then I am your girl. I have loved animals since the very beginning, leading me to be a pet mom to all sorts of animals. To my biggest pitbull to my smallest bearded dragon friend, I have grown to love and adore working with any pet who may need some extra love while their mom or dad is away! As a college student away from home, I miss the connection I had when greeted by my furry best friend and being able to provide that to someone else pet in a safe, caring environment sounds like not only a win for you, but for myself and your furry friend too. I currently have no availability on Tuesday and Thursdays. Can be home or available to travel Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays after 10:30. Weekends are also available. Prefer to provide services at owner's home but more than willing to house or care for smaller animals as I live in a four bedroom apartment. No yard, but willing to walk pet to downtown park as it is close by.

About: What sets me apart is how naturally pet care fits into my life. I grew up with dogs and started walking neighborhood pups when I was young. Even after having to give up my own dog in middle school, I stayed closely connected to animals—through friends, family, and neighbors who’ve trusted me with everything from puppy energy to senior care. I’ve looked after dogs who need medication and check-ins throughout the day, and I always approach each pet with patience, love, and respect for their routine. This isn’t just a job for me, it’s something I truly enjoy, especially as a college student! I’m currently a part-time intern, and I’ll be in Vermont from July 11th through August 6th. After that, my school starts on August 25th, but I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have plenty of availability throughout the week for pet care. I prefer to care for pets in their own homes because that’s where they feel safest and most comfortable. Being in familiar surroundings helps reduce their stress and keeps their routine normal. I always treat their home with respect, follow the owner’s instructions carefully, and make sure the environment stays safe and welcoming for the pets.

About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life and have a great love for all things pets! I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs and work so well with them! I’m currently working part time, and get my schedule released two weeks in advance. I have tons of free time on my hand and would love to spend them with other animals. I’m currently living in apartment with a couple of my friends, it would be a great place for part-time care for animals as the space is quite large and I can easily walk any dog if needed.

Katherine H.
“I have personally asked Katherine to walk my dog and give him dinner when I’m on a tight schedule or have to be out of town and she has followed every instruction to a T. I am quite particular and give her thorough instructions on what my dog needs for walking, what food he can have (he’s on a strict prescription diet), and how to not let my cat out by accident while taking my dog out. I know both my dog and cat are safe in her hands! She truly loves animals and goes above and beyond when hanging out with my boys by spending extra time with them when her schedule allows. I also recently was at a dog park with her and she really wanted to get to know all of the dogs there by name and connect with the owners. She’s an animal and people person. Perfect for taking care of your fuzzy friends!”

Finn W.
“I have known Finn since he was 7 years old. His mother and I are good friends.I also happen to have run a dog rescue organization, at the time. During all those years, Finn assisted with fostering/ caring for all of the dogs his family had fostered (A LOT OF FOSTERS). He is a patient, caring, diligent individual who had a great love for animals.”

Sean H.
“Dogs hanging out with Sean can feel confident they will be getting a delightful friend to spend time with. My anxious pup loves when Sean visits and cuddles with her. He is a great walking buddy, happy to take the time your dog needs to explore! Sean will do a great job taking care of your pet!”

Emma S.

“Emma was amazing, she wrote a great report on how the day went and met my dogs needs. Would definitely recommend her.”

Olivia B.
“Olivia has a love for animals that goes beyond the typical “they are so cute I love them” that is often associated with animal lovers. She thinks about how our own dog Zuko feels, treating his anxiety of getting in cars with respect, patience and love. She’s the kind of person that not only takes him for walks because it’s good for him, but looks up different ways to keep his mind engaged through training and treats that take time to make. When she’s home, the two are basically inseparable. Even the animals she see’s that aren’t her pets, just those of friends and family that she can see a handful of times a year, are treated exactly like they have grown up with her the last five years like our dog Zuko is.”
