I grew up with my family’s various rescue cats and dogs, so I’ve always been an animal lover. Since childhood, I’ve also enjoyed pet sitting for friends, family members, and neighbors whenever I’ve had the opportunity to do so. I have experience looking after cats and dogs, as well as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and a couple of different types of lizards. I have some experience with training my/my family’s cats and dogs, and lots of experience with giving love to animals of all kinds! Because of my love for animals, I donate 10% of my proceeds from each Rover booking towards humane societies and animal rescue organizations. I’m currently a full-time college student, so I use the remainder of my Rover earnings to afford care for my own cat.

I recognize that every animal is unique with their own personality and needs, and it’s important to me to ensure that your pet is as comfortable, happy, and healthy as they can be while you’re away! I’m happy to follow any instructions you have to care for your pet and your home. If there are any particular precautions you want me to take, or if there’s anything else I can help out with (e.g. bringing in mail, putting out trash cans, etc.) while you’re away, just ask!

It's obvious that she genuinely loves caring for animals, and the entire week went as smoothly as we could have hoped. Ashton did an amazing job watching my two cats. They seemed to be very comfortable the entire time we were away and their routine was followed to a T. I would absolutely recommend Ashton as a sitter!

Schedule
During the school year, I’m a full-time student at the University of Vermont, and I love petsitting between classes. When I’m not in classes or doing Rover visits, I’m often spending time with my own cat! I spend most school breaks with my family in Illinois, and frequently petsit then too.

- I’m grateful for any information you can provide about your pets to help me give them the best care possible. If I notice anything that seems unexpected or alarming, I’ll let you know right away. If your pet has any uncommon behaviors or traits, it’s helpful for me to be aware of those so I know when something is normal for your pet and when there’s a concern. If you have a pet that will need some sort of medication during my time with them, I ask that we schedule a meet and greet at a time when I can watch you administer the medication, to help me get a better sense of how to do so. Because of the extra care required, I do charge an additional $10/30mins for cats and dogs who have not been spayed/neutered. Please let me know ahead of time if this applies to any pets that I’ll be caring for.
