He looked after our two cats for 4 days and we couldn't have been happier. When we returned home our cats were calm, well-fed and happy - food dishes were washed and litter box area was tidy. Josh will be my first choice from now on when we have to leave our cats next time.”

I removed a star because she had a last minute mix up with her work schedule and texted us the morning we were leaving to let us know she could not come within the agreed upon time window, which left us scrambling calling neighbors and friends asking for backup. She ended up getting her work schedule moved around to make it work, which we really appreciated, but she was not able to stay the full 30 minutes at that time. This delayed us leaving on our trip by about two hours, which was a challenging start for us. With that being said, we really appreciated Bianca going above and beyond to get her work schedule moved around when things went awry.”

About: Hi, I'm Elissa! I'm a lifelong animal lover who's been pet sitting on Rover on and off for nearly 10 years, depending on where life has taken me. These days I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to spend more time caring for pets while saving for a wedding. I grew up with dogs, so caring for them has always come naturally. In 2020, I adopted my first cat, and I quickly became a full-fledged cat person. I've also lived with two cats who didn't get along, so I'm comfortable reading feline body language, giving nervous cats the space they need, and helping them feel safe and comfortable. One of my biggest strengths is adapting to each pet's unique personality and energy level. Whether your pet wants a snuggle buddy, a playmate, a quiet companion, or someone to stick closely to their routine, I'm happy to meet them where they are. When you're away, I'll care for your pets the same way I hope someone cares for mine. I can offer patience, kindness, plenty of affection, and lots of updates. Our pets are a big part of our lives, but to them, we're their whole world.

About: I've been around dogs since I was a child, and I see them as part of the family. I got my first dog when I was eleven, but our house grew and grew with multiple dogs, and I currently help care for my family's six dogs. In addition, my parents and I have fostered dogs together, which gave me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds, including those who needed extra patience, structure, and reassurance while adjusting to new environments. I have years of experience dog sitting for family, friends, and neighbors, including overnight stays, feeding routines, walks, playtime, and giving my full affection and attention. Through fostering, I learned how to read dog behavior, help dogs feel safe in unfamiliar situations, and learned to support basic routines and transitions. What sets me apart is how attentive I am to learning each pet's individual needs. I will always take the time to learn their routines, levels of energy, and their own personalities so they can feel safe, comfortable, and loved by me while their owners are away. I'm currently a part-time student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be very present and attentive to the pets I'm caring for. I'm able to plan my days around feedings, walks, playtime, and check-ins, so your pets will receive consistent care throughout the day. My top priorities are always to create a safe, trusting environment and to ensure a comfortable atmosphere. I make sure all pets feel secure, calm, and loved. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and house rules to maintain consistency as needed and possible. In a client's home, I treat the space with respect and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I'm very mindful of my surroundings during walks. I also take the time to get to know each pet's personality so I know how to respond appropriately to their needs and comfort levels. Communication is key, so I always provide regular updates, photos, and messages to give pet parents peace of mind. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where all pets feel comfortable and cared for, and each owner feels confident they've left their pets in good hands.

About: I am a life-long animal lover who has cared for pets for as long as I can remember. In fact, I could think of nothing I would rather do than devote my life to animal health and well-being, so I became a veterinarian! I am no longer in clinical practice, as I now focus on wildlife population health; however, I retain my love of creatures great and small and appreciate the opportunity to provide in-home care to your beloved dogs and other pets. I otherwise miss the snuggles, as I do not currently have pets of my own! I know the value of the human-pet bond, and I strive to give the highest quality care. I am comfortable caring for pups with special needs or any number of other critters (cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, rodents, etc.). My only limitation is that I am at work full-time during the day, so I would not be suitable for animals needing mid-day care on a daily basis.
