About: Fueled by a genuine and passionate love for animals, I was a small-animal veterinary technician for 9 years. This led me to earning a pre-veterinary science degree from the University of Vermont followed by a job working at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' small animal hospital. I have since changed my career but still pursue animal care in my free-time. This includes pet sitting, dog walking, and anything else you may need. From dogs and cats to bunnies and birds, I had it all growing up and this pet hobby has transcended into my adult life. I'm confident administering medications, trimming nails, scrubbing your fish tank, or simply walking and playing with your pets. My friends, coworkers, and family have relied on me for years for top notch pet care. I currently work from home full-time and therefore have a lot of flexibility to come care for and play with your pets! I take my own dog on walks, hikes, or to the dog park every day and would be glad to do the same with yours. Ample exercise = a happy pet! I care deeply for animals and will do all I can to keep them safe, happy, and health. I have a fenced-in yard in the New North End of Burlington that is perfect for supervised dog play and exploration. We are also just a 5 minute walk from the Starr Farm Dog Park. I follow all leash rules and will never let a dog go unsupervised while playing with a toy or eating a treat to eliminate choking hazards. I am an excellent rule-follower so if you have a special request for in-home care, let me know and I'll follow it to a T.

About: Maiah and I have grown up with many different pets including Dogs, Cats, Fish, and Lizards. Maiah grew up rescuing and raising pups from birth. At one point she had six dogs and one cat. We now have a precious black golden retriever who is our son and a black cat named Amelia who we adore. We went to training classes with our dog Barkley and he is now a certified psychiatric service animal. We take him on a trail walk almost every day of the week. Maiah works entirely from home and I work a hybrid schedule. We always have our dog with us and have the flexibility to go on potty walks at any time throughout the day as well as frequenting the Dog Parks and Trail walks in the area after work! We care for our dog by showing him love and affection and space when he needs it. When we look after your dog when you’re away we will treat it with the same care, love, and respect we give our dog.

“Bianca was kind and came by beforehand for a rundown, which was much appreciated! She is clearly a cat person who is dedicated to her pet sitting commitments. I removed a star because she had a last minute mix up with her work schedule and texted us the morning we were leaving to let us know she could not come within the agreed upon time window, which left us scrambling calling neighbors and friends asking for backup. She ended up getting her work schedule moved around to make it work, which we really appreciated, but she was not able to stay the full 30 minutes at that time. This delayed us leaving on our trip by about two hours, which was a challenging start for us. With that being said, we really appreciated Bianca going above and beyond to get her work schedule moved around when things went awry.”

About: I am a dog lover and have owned dogs for 15 years. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I can help with puppy training and can administer any medications if necessary. I would love the opportunity to walk your dogs! Can do local early morning walks, afternoon breaks, after work walks, or evening/night time potty breaks! I have open availability. I would really enjoy the opportunity to get to know you and your fur babies. I'm open for all types of visits. I do work fulltime but can do early morning walks, lunch time breaks, evenings and weekends. My puppy is on a harness and leash. She is always contained or in my home. I have a yard but unfenced. I live down the street from a dog park.

About: I grew up with lots of animals. We had 22 rabbits at one time. We always had more than 1 dog and cats while growing up. I now love to rescue dogs. I currently only have 1. I lost 2 in the past 1 1/2 years. I have a lot of experience taking care of animals. I currently work full time Monday thru Friday. I'm available before work on certain days of the week and every day after work. Available on weekends. I have a small dog that is good with other dogs. We like to go for walks. My dog is very spoiled. Lots of toys and sleeps in bed with me under my blanket.

“Sukhpran did a fabulous job caring for our diabetic cat while we were out of town for 5 days. She has excellent communication skills and is very reliable. She is caring and detail oriented and helps anxious pet owners as much as the pet! Before we left: Sukhpran came to meet our cat, who forms very quick decisions about new people; he took to her immediately and didn't blink when she gave him his injection. While we were away: She sent photos or a video during each visit. She didn't just feed and leave, she took time to play. She also took care of my plants. When we returned: Our cat was calm and happy, and my plants were healthy and huge! Mail and packages were neatly stacked, litter robot was given an extra empty, so we didn't have to when we returned. I highly recommend Sukhpran; she exceeded our expectations and truly allowed us to enjoy our vacation knowing Finnegan was in good hands.”

About: I have been cat sitting and dog walking for the past two years for coworkers and family friends- and now I’m on Rover too! I’ve got two golden retrievers of my own who I love dearly as well! I am a student at the University of Vermont studying political science and english! During the summers I come home to Anchorage, Alaska. I love all things outdoors- hiking, running, you name it. I have also been working part time at Middle Way Cafe (in Anchorage) for almost 3 years. Because I have grown up with animals, I feel confident in my ability to care for them. I have watched various animals, including snakes, cats, guinea pigs, and dogs. I ensure that cats receive the right balance of independence and affection, make sure your pet has extra treats, and provide dogs with regular exercise. I can cater to each pet's unique requirements. I promise that your baby will receive love and attention, and be well cared for with me. I work from home and can be flexible to cater to you and your pets needs. I have plenty of time to take breaks and ensure they get the attention they deserve. I prefer to watch pets in your home but can be flexible. I live near a park and have a fenced in yard to ensure animals get proper exercise.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. Because of my school schedule I have not been able to have a dog myself but would love the opportunity to have their companionship. During the summer I have very little going on and the few obligations I have are online so I’ll be able to dog sit. Also my son (9) who is sensitive and very caring loves dogs and would also benefit from the opportunity. I live in a dog friendly apartment building and have the trail to Leddy within steps of my doorway. There is also a dog area within steps of my front door

About: I live an active lifestyle and have the flexibility in my schedule to walk dogs the way they deserve! I have been caring for my own, family, and friends' pets for my entire life. There are few things in life I find more enjoyable than the simple happiness of hanging out with a pet. I really love training exercises, and believe mind exercises are just as important as physical. I believe that pets are family and should be treated like gems, which in my opinion also includes physical exercise and healthy (but yummy) treats! I can't wait to help you care for your family member! I have a flexible schedule from December 2026-March 2027 to accommodate your schedule. I do not offer any at-home care or boarding at this time, sorry! I care for my own pet like he is my child, and treat others with similar compassion. Every morning and every evening I take my own dog and frequently my house mate’s dogs for a half an hour walk around the property/in the woods. I keep schedules/routines consistent and provide daily supplements for fur, teeth, mental, and joint health. I keep routines strict and provide an excess of outdoor engagement to keep my own pets and others’ pets happy and thriving. Every pet deserves a happy healthy and active lifestyle.
