“Tess is a rockstar!! We have 3 SHY senior special-needs cats who need all kinds of complicated care. They needed a combination of special diet food / thorough supervision throughout mealtime to ensure everyone gets the right thing, powdered meds mixed with food, transdermal medications applied to the ear, and antibiotics out of a syringe, in addition to all of the typical work that goes into cat sitting. It’s always hard to find someone we can trust with their safety with that level of care needed, but we saw that Tess had experience with senior kitties, administering multiple kinds of medications, caring for feral cats, and her own cats at home. That’s the best you can hope for! True to her word, Tess did a beautiful job taking care of all of their needs, and even went the extra mile to give the last round of several medications when we let her know we were happy to take care of the final day to give her a break. She took extra time to make sure she could establish trust with them first and kept us up to date with everything we needed to know. Somehow, after medicating really shy and medication-averse cats, she left 3 happy, safe kitties after her care. Couldn’t recommend Tess any more highly, and we would be thrilled to have Tess back again any time!!”

“Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. For us- that says it all!”

About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

I have experience with difficult animals from my time working at an ASPCA and from socializing and rescuing feral cats. I’m super active so Im always out walking already, i might as well bring a dog! I can stay at other peoples houses if it’s close to the university and there is wifi for me to get some work done. Currently I can’t have animals stay in my home because my house already has two cats that don’t do well with new animals coming over. I would care for them as if they are my own of course! I am a string believer that animals thrive on routine so I will stick as close as I can to what their normal routine is. At a clients home I would be sure to keep everything clean and neat and do everything as directed so the pet I’m watching doesn’t experience extra stress being away from their person.

This could include walking, feeding, or a play and potty break! Pets in my house are treated with the most love and care I can provide. Lots of playtime and sometimes naps when both needed. We currently have a senior chihuahua foster fail named Pig. Before leaving Philly, Jonny worked for Happy Tails of Philly as a sitter & walker for 8 years. I was formerly the GM and Boarding Coordinator for a chain of dog daycares in Philadelphia, working for them for 4 years-so it’s safe to say we are well versed with canines! I was a foster parent with City of Elderly Love in Philly and hope to foster again now that I’ve relocated to Vermont. All of our dog experience can guarantee that not only is your dog going to be safe and comfortable with us, but will have as much fun possible! About: I’m an animal lover to the core and not a single dog frightens me. I dog sit Mini Yorkies up to German Shepards for my friends and family and have always had dogs in my life. In the past, I’ve assisted caring for my mother’s chihuahua who pinched a nerve in his spine and had been paralyzed from his waist down so I’m familiar with mildly handicapped dogs. I go on hikes/walks through town forests every weekend with friends, so what’s another dog or two in the mix! Generally available weekday evenings and weekends. I have my own one year old GSD/Border Collie mix who is extremely friendly and loves to play and socialize. I currently work remotely which allows for flexibility to take care of my own pets, as well as my neighbors when they are working. While I have more flexibility in the evenings during the week, I can always make time during a weekday if the need is there. I live in an area that is abundant with fellow dogs and dog friends, allowing for socializing and extra entertainment and enrichment if the prospective dog works well with others. I’m also a short distance from a massive dog park where I take my own boy to get out some off leash zoomies. I have three cats in house who are familiar with dogs but will make themselves scarce if they’re uncomfortable and have their own room to hide where no dogs can go.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats all throughout my childhood and have taken care of a couple dogs full time over the years. I am experienced mostly with dogs but I am familiar with cat care. I work nights in the Burlington area so I can work around most schedules and prefer afternoon work for walking. If you need house visits I can work with you on a good schedule. I will follow your directions to a T and will transport animals as needed for walks/hikes. I will treat them as my own as I don’t have any pets and miss having animals around.

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”
