About: Hi! My name is Nicolas. Since I am home full-time, I am able to dedicate my entire day to the care and well-being of the dogs and cats I look after in our large, two-story house in South Burlington, which features a big, secure yard where they can safely run and play. I have the experience to care for any type of animal, including puppies that require extra attention, patience, and routine. For your peace of mind, I provide very regular updates and frequently send photos of your companion throughout their stay. Please note that since I have a 20-month-old son, any dog staying with us must be perfectly comfortable and safe around young children. As a stay-at-home dad, I am at the house full-time, making it incredibly easy to fit dedicated pet care into my daily routine. I offer specialized services tailored to your pets' needs, including both cat and dog boarding at my home, where your furry friends will enjoy constant company and plenty of attention throughout the day. I also offer dog walking and 30 to 60-minute home visits at your location. Whether it's strictly following feeding and medication schedules, managing frequent potty breaks, or taking your dog out for a great walk to break up their day, you can rest assured your companions will receive premium care while staying completely on their regular routine. In my home: Your pets will have plenty of room to comfortable and safe in our large two-story house. Since I am home full-time, I provide constant supervision and companionship throughout the day. I ensure a safe, organized environment for both visiting dogs and cats, strictly following their regular feeding, potty, litter, and medication schedules so they feel right at home. At your home: I follow your exact instructions to respect your pet's routine, whether I am dropping by for a 30 to 60-minute visit or taking your dog out for a walk. I make sure your home stays secure, doors are locked, and your pet gets their regular feeding, fresh water, and potty breaks exactly as they do when you are there.
About: As a lifelong dog owner, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve owned four Labrador Retrievers over the years and currently have one lovable lab, Ellie Bear, who absolutely loves making new furry friends. My experience goes far beyond basic pet care — my first dog, Nala, had a litter of 8 puppies, giving me hands-on experience with canine pregnancy, birthing, newborn puppy care, feeding schedules, socialization, and raising puppies in a safe, loving environment. I understand the importance of patience, routine, exercise, affection, and making pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Whether your pup loves playtime, cuddles, or simply having companionship, I treat every dog like family. 🐾 🐾 Availability & Care Schedule 🐾 Your pup will never be left alone — someone will always be home 24/7, whether it’s myself, Pep, or Kevin. We provide a safe, loving, family-style environment where dogs receive constant attention, care, and companionship. Each day includes: • Plenty of playtime and exercise • Snuggles, affection, and personalized attention • Potty breaks and outdoor time • A cozy, stress-free environment where your dog is treated like family 🐻🐾 I am currently available for: • Weekend boarding • Extended stays when needed • Flexible scheduling depending on availability My goal is to make every pup feel comfortable, loved, and right at home while you’re away! Your pup’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. We provide a loving, family-style environment where dogs are treated like one of our own. We have a large fenced-in yard perfect for running, playing, fetch, and getting lots of energy out safely. Our chocolate lab, Ellie Bear, absolutely loves making new friends, chasing tennis balls, and cooling down afterward in the pet pool on warmer days! 🐻💦 For boarding stays, I can easily accommodate your dog’s sleeping preferences. If your pup is crate trained, I’m happy to crate them when needed, or they can relax in a cozy dog bed for bedtime. And if your dog is used to extra snuggles and sleeping close to their humans, we don’t mind cuddles in bed either — we want them to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. Most importantly, your dog will never be left alone. Someone will always be home 24/7 — whether it’s myself, or Kevin — so your pup will always have supervision, companionship, love, and care.

About: I have taken care of my own pets and barn animals for 10+ years. My family and friends have relied me to feed, care for, walk, and play with their animals. I love dogs and cats, and have always been used to having them around. I am a full-time graduate student with a part-time job. That being said, I have time throughout the day, every morning, and every evening to stop by and play with your animals! I also have weekend availability. Since I currently do not own my own home and rent from a local in Burlington, I do not have in-home space to host and/or board dogs or cats.

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs my entire life, giving me experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and personalities. As an animal shelter volunteer, I’ve worked with dogs from different backgrounds and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and positive interactions. I’m active and able to keep up with high-energy dogs while also providing attentive care and companionship. My experience at adoption events has helped me become comfortable handling dogs in new environments and making sure they feel safe and supported. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care easily into my daily and weekly routine. I’m able to adjust my availability around bookings and make sure each pet gets consistent attention, exercise, and care. At my home or a client’s home, I follow the owner’s instructions closely to keep pets comfortable and on their normal routine. I make sure they are fed on schedule, always have fresh water, and get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention based on their energy level. I prioritize safety, supervision, and creating a calm, stress-free environment. I’m also attentive to each pet’s personality, whether they need extra cuddles, structure, or space.

About: I have been helping out friends and family with pet sitting for years. I enjoy being outside and staying active, love all animals, and am familiar with administrating medicine to older felines but am willing to learn for dogs/other breeds as well! I work part time as a server as well as a nanny. I have a rather flexible schedule and will be happy to meet clients in the middle with the frequency of potty breaks etc. I have worked with animals of all sizes and am capable of walking large dogs as well as putting them in their crates if needed. I’d be happy to do walks/ or just letting out in a fenced yard for a quick break.
About: Hey! Im Skye! I’m a senior at the university of Vermont studying political science and history. I’ve had pets from gerbils to horses my entire life and have cared for pets with special needs, disabilities, and aggression. I would love to spend some quality time with your pup or kitty whether it be snuggling all day or going for a hike! My number one priority is your pet’s safety and well being. —— Open to boarding smaller or low energy dogs, must be okay with cat in house. My schedule varies, but I work from home most of the time. If im watching your pup it will be a day I work from home so I can give them attention throughout the day. If watching a pet in your home, I follow the provided instructions, while ensuring to keep everything clean and tidy. If boarding in my home, your pet is welcome to the entire apartment, when supervised, and will mostly hang out in the living room or my room. Pets are allowed on couches and beds. We do have a cat in the home that will ignore the dog as long as it is not aggressive towards her.
About: I've had dogs since I was very little. Very comfortable with anything from small and anxious to big and jumpy. Currently have 2 cats at home, a very young senior and a old kitten. I am a full time graduate student with some intermittent periods of free time and am always looking to take a study break and go hang out with some pets. Im currently a Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at UVM. So whenever I'm not in class I'm free to spend it with your furry friend. Since I have cats, I always make sure my home is pet safe and there isn't anything around that could hurt them or get them sick.

About: My name is Amelia and I am in college studying animal sciences. I have experience with dogs walking, cat and fish care, and would love to help you and your pets out in any way I can! I’m currently a full time student, so I can pop in and out mid morning and in between classes throughout the week. I will make sure the animal gets a good chunk of my time and attention and will make sure not to rush them. It’s important the animal is safe and stimulated while I am with them. If I am dropping in to feed or take care of your pet I will ensure a clean environment and that they are enriched until a caretaker returns. If I am taking your pet on a walk I will cater to the dogs temperament and endurance. The pet’s experience (and their bathroom/food needs) is optimized.

About: I’ve been surrounded by pets of all kinds since a young age. I have the ability to take care of multiple pets at once, including my three dogs Oliver, Cullen, and Suga. My priority is to make sure every dog I sit is shown proper care, love, and happiness. I have a very open schedule this summer. I do like to have some of my weekends to myself so I am unable to spend nights on weekends. I have open availability and am excited to meet some furry friends! Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I exclusively provide care in clients' homes to help pets stay in their familiar environment. Whether it’s walks, feedings, playtime, or just quiet companionship, I follow your pet’s schedule and preferences closely.I always take time to learn each animal’s needs, from medications to favorite toys or hiding spots. I can also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and loved while you're away.Your home is treated with the same respect and care I’d give my own—clean, secure, and just how you left it.
About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid and puppy friendly if sitting happens in my home. I am also great with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting or drop in visits! The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember! In high school, I started a dog walking and pet sitting business through a class, it was an amazing experience and I absolutely loved it. Getting to know each dog’s personality and building relationships with both pets and their owners was incredibly rewarding! After that, I stepped away for a few years to help care for my grandparents full-time. Now I’m slowly getting back into working and doing something I truly enjoy. I’m excited to meet some amazing dogs, and providing them with lots of fun and attention they deserve, and help provide peace of mind for their owners while they’re away! Im currently working part time 20-30 hours as a manager at Walgreens! The hours mostly are just consistent to nighttime but I can always try my best to figure out scheduling with them to work with what you and your doggos will need!! I have a small front yard and small back porch! 2 floor house! Mostly looking to be able to either go out with dogs on walks or take them out places for fun or sit and stay with them at there place as needed but I work with all!
“Fantastic! Good communication, showed up on time and very friendly. Gave my pup just the kind of exercise I was asking for and then some. Exceeded expectations and will definitely be reaching out again.”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, and have a 3 year old beagle who keeps me on my toes. In addition to caring for my own dog, I also foster dogs, so I’m comfortable with different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I’m a very active person and love spending time outdoors. Your pup can expect plenty of walks, playtime, and snuggles! I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll keep you updated with photos! I work part-time on weekdays and Saturday mornings, allowing for frequent potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I am happy to adhere to your already established feeding, walking, and potty schedules to keep your dogs routine normal while you’re away! I provide a calm, loving home environment where dogs are treated like family. I will take the time to learn your dogs personality and routine so that they feel comfortable with me while you are away. Whether they need long walks or a snuggle on the couch, I will be there to offer it.
About: Hi, I’m Stevie! I’ve been around dogs my whole life and can’t imagine a home without them. I currently have two golden retrievers—one laid-back cuddle bug and one energetic puppy—so I’m very used to big personalities, lots of energy, and plenty of muddy paw prints. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments through walking, pet sitting, and volunteering with the Humane Society. I’m comfortable giving medications, supporting training routines, and helping pups who may be recovering from injuries or need a little extra patience. Whether your dog prefers long sniff-walks, a good run, or calm company on the couch, I’ll follow their routine and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. My priority is to give you peace of mind and give your dog the best day ever. I have a super flexible schedule thanks to online classes and a part-time caregiving job. I’m around most days and can adjust easily to what your pet needs. I’m very responsive and can usually accommodate last-minute requests. I follow your dog’s routine exactly as you prefer and can confidently handle crating if needed. I’m always open to a meet-and-greet so you feel fully comfortable before booking.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
