We've used Allison twice for dog walking Zelda and she was excellent both times. Great communication, super reliable, flexible and most importantly really great with Zelda. After each walk she followed up with a quick report on how Zelda did along with a photo - really helpful to get that real-time communication and know that Zelda was well cared for. We would 100% recommend Allison to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter or walker.

About: I've owned a pug for almost 9 years, and have taken care of him the entire time. I worked at a Doggie Daycare (Gullivers) for 5 years. I'm very used to walking dogs, cleaning, and basic grooming practices (bath, nails, ears, teeth). I grew up with dogs and have always walked animals. I prefer dogs to most people😂 I'm not working at the moment, and trying to work up to that. I have plenty time in the day to come and walk your dog. Lots of love too! I give him a bath about once a month, clip his nails about twice a month, brush his teeth a couple times a week, and wipe out ears when needed. I live in an apartment building, so I walk Ripley on leash in our neighborhood. Always dealing with a mix of dogs with different temperaments.

Christine is fantastic. So friendly and caring to our pup and even managed to be nonplussed by the two neighborhood dogs deciding to join in on the walk! Highly recommend her.

About: I have had a dog all of my life. I love meeting new dogs and their owners. They teach us compassion, patience and love. I have taken care of senior dogs, one dog was 13 years old and lost his eyesight. I had an Old English Sheepdog and a cocker spaniel. I also took care of a Pug. I love dogs. I am currently retired. I am able to do morning and afternoon walks. The dogs is allowed to walk at their own pace. They can sniff and allowed to take a break if needed I walk with a harness. I stop periodically for focus and treats. The dogs are allowed to sniff and take in all of nature’s beauty.

Had a great experience booking daily walks for three days with Jenna. Had to book super last minute and she was kind enough to accept and be flexible with us. She provided a rover card for each walk showing how far and long they walked as well as if my dog pooped 1-2x which was rlly helpful for me. jenna also went the extra mile of feeding him and making sure he ate after his walks while also keeping him company for a good amount of time afterwards too. All of which was rlly appreciated, well communicated, and shows how much she cares! I also received a daily picture which I looked forward to everyday :) not many dog walkers would do all of this but she did. Also, it was rlly important that my dog goes on a 30 min walk once every 24 h or else he won’t eat and starts throwing up from starving himself and she responsibly did show up within the asked/ flexible time frame:) Would book another walk with her in the future

About: I've always loved animals and have experience caring for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish. Although I haven't owned a dog myself, I've spent years helping neighbors and friends by feeding, walking, playing with, and caring for their pets while they were away. I've also house sat for a home with three cats, making sure they stayed on their normal routine and received plenty of attention and affection. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and comfort level, so I take the time to learn their routine and follow your instructions carefully. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or just sticking to a familiar schedule, I'm happy to provide the care they need. I'm dependable, patient, and attentive to details, and I know how important it is to keep pet owners updated. I'll always treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week. I enjoy spending time with animals, so I make sure each visit includes plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, or quiet companionship based on your pet's needs. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I'll do my best to maintain their regular routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, medications (if needed), exercise routines, and any household rules you've established. I always keep dogs securely leashed on walks unless in a designated enclosed area, and I pay close attention to their surroundings to keep them safe. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with respect and work to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible. I'm happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pets are happy and well cared for while you're away.

About: I've taken care of all types of dogs throughout my life, personally owning a large Newfoundland and an Australian Cattle dog, so I have experience dealing with extremely high and low energy breeds. Im a life long animal lover who is currently pursuing my undergraduate in Animal Sciences with a focus on pre veterinarian medicine. In the past Ive dealt more with larger zoo animals like wolves and lynx's but Im always a sucker for some cute dogs. Im currently working mid week, Im available for boarding at any time however during M,T,Th,F bathroom breaks will be limited to 4-8 hours. During weekends and Wednesdays Ill be available to give your furry friends all the attention they need throughout the day. I live in a condo with no designated yard however there is an unfenced yard available for use and dogs will be taken on frequent walks, at least 2 times a day but this varies on your dogs needs. Im open to all dog sitting styles so if you like your dog crated at night or left to roam around just let me know. If your dog has specific preferences or needs please just specify before dropping them off.

About: I've always lived with and taken care of pets. From a young age I had gerbils, cats, frogs, bunnies, dogs, snakes, fish, and even the occasional spider. I have always loved dogs and cats in particular and love learning their personalities and reading their body language. I have experience with puppies, elderly dogs, and cats! I'm going part time with my own virtual coaching business so I have a lot of flexibility over my own schedule. I can work around pet schedules and I have complete control over my work day. Being a health coach I really enjoy walks and prioritize them daily so I'm excited to take your pup with me! I have a roommate who travels often so her dog is almost always in my care. We used to live in an apartment so I would take her out multiple times a day, feed her twice a day, take her on walks, and let her sleep with me when her owner wasn't home. Animals need their outside time just as much, if not more than their owners. I think it is important to learn dog's and their personalities to understand how to best take care of them individually.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
