About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve always had cats in my life and had the privilege of growing up with the best dogs ever. For the past 10 years, I’ve been caring for pets professionally, building lasting relationships with both animals and their families. Many of the families I work with have become like an extension of my own family. Over the years, I’ve cared for household pets with fur, scales, and feathers. No matter the animal, my number one priority is earning their trust and making sure they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’m especially comfortable working with pets who need a little extra time to warm up to a new person. I’m attentive to body language and behavior, and I take the time to learn what makes them the most comfortable I also have extensive experience caring for pets with additional medical needs, including administering pills, intravenous medications, and inhalers. My own surly old-man cat requires an inhaler twice a day, so I understand firsthand the importance of making medical care as stress-free as possible. Whether your pet is outgoing and eager for a new friend or takes a little more time to come around, I will give them thoughtful, reliable care to give you the comfort of knowing they’re in good hands. I'm currently working part-time in the mornings, and I'm typically free after 3:00 for any pet care. My workday typically starts at 7:00 AM, and I'm unavailable for early morning drop-ins. However, I am willing to adjust on a case-by-case basis. I want to get specific details about your pet's personality and daily routine. I want to make sure I am fulfilling your pet's needs. I know that every animal has different quirks, and I will take your lead on what makes your pets the happiest. I want to know their favorite scratch spot, if they have a favorite bowl or toy, if there are behaviors to keep an eye on, and what kind of training you want me to stay consistent with.

About: I've taken care of all types of dogs throughout my life, personally owning a large Newfoundland and an Australian Cattle dog, so I have experience dealing with extremely high and low energy breeds. Im a life long animal lover who is currently pursuing my undergraduate in Animal Sciences with a focus on pre veterinarian medicine. In the past Ive dealt more with larger zoo animals like wolves and lynx's but Im always a sucker for some cute dogs. Im currently working mid week, Im available for boarding at any time however during M,T,Th,F bathroom breaks will be limited to 4-8 hours. During weekends and Wednesdays Ill be available to give your furry friends all the attention they need throughout the day. I live in a condo with no designated yard however there is an unfenced yard available for use and dogs will be taken on frequent walks, at least 2 times a day but this varies on your dogs needs. Im open to all dog sitting styles so if you like your dog crated at night or left to roam around just let me know. If your dog has specific preferences or needs please just specify before dropping them off.

About: I’m a student at the University of Vermont who currently lives in Burlington. I’m trying to make money for college and I know that this job would be perfect for me! I’ve had a dog my whole life, and I’ve absolutely adored taking care of them. I’m good with all types as well, I currently have a low-energy chocolate lab mix and a high-energy rescue as well. I can deal quite easily with messes and certain necessities like diapers/medications/dietary needs. If your dog is reactive, I know lots about that as well and am willing to do anything to make them more comfortable. My current course schedule is very laid back, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your animals! I’m free essentially every day, bedsides Mondays. My 2 dogs currently have a fenced in backyard which they love to use to play fetch. I have a dual-ended leash as well for walks with them both. I throughly enjoy taking them out to trails for new scenery as well! I often bring collapsible water bowls and such on walks as well. I love taking pictures of animals, so you’ll certainly get updates from me! If you ever want to FaceTime me to see how your pet is doing as well, I’m totally fine with that! I’m open to just about anything :)

About: My experience with dogs spans from dog sitting to working at vet hospitals. I have owned large dogs since I was young this let to me sitting for neighbors and people around town. I have experience with dogs as young as 8 weeks old to seniors who needed a little extra care. My veterinary experience means that I can provide basic medical care if needed. I will take care of your pet as if it was my own! I am currently a college student looking for a way to work with animals while at school. I am fairly flexible with time as my classes are spread out which is conducive to visiting during the day as well as dog walking if needed. It also means I’m available on most weekends and open to staying at the house with your pet. I am looking to provide the best care to you and your pet! I make sure to be attentive to both the clients wants for their animals as well as learning the animals personality in order to provide the best care. I will also make sure to keep the clients home clean and abide to any household rules that they would like be to follow. Overall I am flexible and will make sure to listen to both human and animal wants.

About: I have grew up around dogs and cats and always had a huge amount of love for them. For the last 3 years when I was living in South Carolina, my good friend always called me first to dog sit and house sit. I’ve been around many different types of dogs. Would love to learn more along this journey Right now I am in the Air National Guard, so my weekdays are not filled up at the moment. In the meantime, I think that taking care of cats and dogs would be amazing for me. I’d like to think that every dog and cat I come in contact with, we automatically will grow a connection. About: I have a great amount of experience with animals. I have cared for Bunnies,Rats, Birds, Reptiles, Cats and dogs as well. I’m familiar with treating senior dogs and cats. As well as younger animals. I’ve had animals my entire life. Starting May 15th. I will have a flexible availability. I would fit pet sitting into my daily/ weekly routine but ensuring all animals are fed and have water. I will give them some play time. If walks are needed I will ensure I arrive earlier to give any dogs walks. I have two cats. Athena and Vixen Both girls are on a strict routine. They get fed wet food twice a day and dry food once. Their wet food includes multivitamins, probiotics and allergy medications. Both cats have separate diets that best suit their needs. I ensure all things for them are done before starting my day. e.i Litterboxes, water refills, medications, food and play time. Upon arriving home I greet them and play for about 30min-1hr.

About: My name is Laura, and I am a 31-year-old Vermont Local . I am a Naturalist/Outdoor Educator by passion and by training :) Growing up in the Greater Burly area of Vermont, I have a love for the outdoors and take every chance I get to go outside and explore, whether that be with friends or four-legged family. I love meeting and getting to know dogs of all, ages, sizes, and personalities. I have experience petting sitting dogs in the comfort of their own homes, as well as working with dogs in a humane society setting. I also previously worked at a doggie daycare for about a year and a half. As well as dogs I also have experience pet sitting for cats, small reptiles, and other small mammals. I love all animals and have experience as an Education Animal Care intern at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida. I also have worked for two seasons as a park ranger in beautiful Glacier National Park! Watching fur families is my full time commitment! This is my full-time job which grants me great flexibility caring for your loved ones! Whether that be stopping by for an hour or staying overnight :) I make your animals’ safety my first priority and love detailed instructions. When staying in your home, or simply dropping in for 30 minutes, the safety of your home is also top priority.

About: As an experienced pet caretaker I come with six years of dog and cat sitting experience and a background growing up caring for multiple dogs, cats, and even reptiles! I prioritize keeping your pet's typical routines as much as is possible, to ensure they feel secure and well cared for while you are away. I am comfortable handling any special needs you may have and am more than happy to follow specific lists or instructions. I look forward to meeting your furry (or scaly) friends. I work part-time on a regular schedule. I am always willing to work with owners and occasionally have the flexibility shift my work to fit your pet's needs. I specialize in overnight care in client homes, I do go to work during the day, anywhere between 4-8 hours a day, but am otherwise at the home attending to any pet needs. Feel free to request anything else you may need, such as plant watering or snow clearing and I will be happy to help with most tasks.

About: I love pets. Ever since I was little, playing with my pets and taking care of them gave me a sense of importance. To help do so for members of my community would be a great way to reconnect with the simple pleasures of quality pet time. I currently work full-time 4 days a week. The other three days of the week I have incredible flexibility. On the days that I do work, I can flexible in the mornings until 12, 12:30 latest. I will be unable to have pets at my own home due to landlord requests. But, I have ample experience walking dogs and ensuring they are properly supervised. I also am incredibly active and a strong individual, callable of heavy lifting and can mitigate any dragging from a leash.

About: Fueled by a genuine and passionate love for animals, I was a small-animal veterinary technician for 9 years. This led me to earning a pre-veterinary science degree from the University of Vermont followed by a job working at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' small animal hospital. I have since changed my career but still pursue animal care in my free-time. This includes pet sitting, dog walking, and anything else you may need. From dogs and cats to bunnies and birds, I had it all growing up and this pet hobby has transcended into my adult life. I'm confident administering medications, trimming nails, scrubbing your fish tank, or simply walking and playing with your pets. My friends, coworkers, and family have relied on me for years for top notch pet care. I currently work from home full-time and therefore have a lot of flexibility to come care for and play with your pets! I take my own dog on walks, hikes, or to the dog park every day and would be glad to do the same with yours. Ample exercise = a happy pet! I care deeply for animals and will do all I can to keep them safe, happy, and health. I have a fenced-in yard in the New North End of Burlington that is perfect for supervised dog play and exploration. We are also just a 5 minute walk from the Starr Farm Dog Park. I follow all leash rules and will never let a dog go unsupervised while playing with a toy or eating a treat to eliminate choking hazards. About: There's nothing worse than having to leave your pet with someone you don't fully trust to care for them the way you will. Growing up with dogs, cats, rodents, fish, turtles, etc. instilled a strong sense of responsibility in me for detail-oriented and fiercely loving care for all types of pets. Among my friends, colleagues, and relatives, I have become the go-to person for drop-in walks, petsitting/house sitting, and more. Traveling or needing an extra hand taking care of your pet should not have to be a source of stress - I hope to be able to bridge that gap for you. Spending time with your sweet pet is just an added bonus! I have experience caring for dogs and cats under a year old all the way to senior pets who may require more attention (like medication administration). I have experience walking more than one dog at a time, as well as walking larger dogs up to 100lbs independently. I love playing with animals and see stimulating play as a vital part of caring for them while their owner is away. I work full-time for the University of Vermont - while I do work primarily in person, I have hybrid flexibility when I am not meeting with clients and am able to step away from work when I want and need to. My late afternoons, evenings, and weekends are typically free and flexible outside of rest and relaxation! I am located very central to the University of Vermont campus, the South End, and the Old North End. I can travel by foot, car, and bike. My shared living environment limits me from boarding animals in my home. However, I am happy to care for your pets in the space they're most comfortable in and familiar with! I can come and go from your home for drop-in walks, longer walk outings, and overnight stays if necessary. I will respect you and your pet's space and belongings. Cleanliness, organization, and safety are of the utmost importance to me.
