“Logan was great! She took care of my cat, Shery, exceptionally well. Shery can be quite needy and a bit shy initially, but Logan managed to make her feel comfortable and attended to all her needs. I highly recommend Logan for anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.”

About: I've had pets for a majority of my life and am deeply passionate about animals! I have pet sat for several friends, family friends, and family members. I view pets as a big part of the family and believe they deserve just as much care as any other family member. I currently work full time. But I am available Monday-Friday (overnight/ Before 9am/after 5pm, overnight/midday potty breaks) and Saturdays & Sundays (overnight/full availability). I am also happy to make exceptions on a case by case basis. I do not offer pet boarding in my home. But can and will care for your fur baby however you need me to while I'm housesitting for you!
“I have many thanks to give Felipe for how he cared for our pup. His communication was excellent, he was prompt, and truly seemed to enjoy spending time with our dog. I’m already planning to ask if he’s available for a few others dates this summer!”

About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.
About: (I am currently unavailable for new bookings Thursday through Sunday.) My name is Casey, I'm a student majoring in creative writing, and I'm looking to expand my house sitting portfolio. I have been a dog walker and house sitter for three clients/families in 2025 so far and love popping by for walks every two hours with your pup. Size, barking, and puppy-ness are non-issues! I have extreme patience and good shoulders. My grandma always told me to leave the house you're visiting neater than when you got there, so I have an eye for cleanliness and I don't want you to feel like someone has been living in your home when you come back. I.E. I will ask you if I can vacuum. I'm starting school in the fall at Vermont State University in Johnson, so I am free to book any time this summer, unless I have another doggie booked that day. I'm a list maker so I like to write down your instructions when we have a formal introduction. Food, walks, potty time, play time, training, and housekeeping will all be done to your standard.
About: Hi! My name is Alex, and I provide dependable, attentive pet care with a calm and patient approach. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every animal with the same care, respect, and kindness I would want for my own. I have experience caring for animals with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, administering basic care instructions, and providing companionship while owners are away. My professional background working in human services has strengthened my patience, responsibility, communication skills, and ability to stay calm and attentive in all situations. My schedule is flexible on the weekend, including evenings. I’m organized, dependable, and committed to making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their home environment. When caring for clients’ pets, I focus on maintaining their normal routines to reduce stress and help them feel secure. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, exercise needs, behavior changes, and overall comfort. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or extra reassurance, I adapt my care to their personality and needs. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

“Avery was consistent and went above and beyond what I expected when I booked her services. I was thinking she would show up, feed me cats, and leave. Instead she spent a little time with them and gave them attention. It was definitely appreciated. I would absolutely book with her again.”

“Alma was very professional and took great care of my cat Eddie. He's on the anxious side and can be wary of new people, she was able to make him feel comfortable enough to approach for scratches.”

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’m also studying veterinary medicine, giving me a strong understanding of animal health and behavior. Over the years, I’ve dog sat for many families, caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities while you’re away. I work part time and I have a yard and a full apartment where an animal could be very comfortable in. I’m very active and take many walks throughout the day. I have a lot of space in our home. A lot of space for a dog bed or crate to be in the bedroom or even sleep in the bed. I have a private yard that is set away from the street and other neighbors with friendly dogs. I follow each pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, fresh food and water, and lots of love. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for while they’re away.
“Lacy is great with Chester, our special needs dog. He took to her right away, and she spends time with him during the day when we can't, takes him outside to do his business, and is very accommodating. Highly recommended.”

“I have had Lou help me for years. I’m moving out of the area soon, and I will miss his friendship and the bonds he has made with my pets over the years. We have been through a lot together. I trust him with anything.”

About: Hi, I'm Elissa! I'm a lifelong animal lover who's been pet sitting on Rover on and off for nearly 10 years, depending on where life has taken me. These days I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to spend more time caring for pets while saving for a wedding. I grew up with dogs, so caring for them has always come naturally. Most of my Rover experience has been with dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities… including puppies, high-energy herding breeds, senior dogs, reactive dogs, and pets recovering from surgery or taking medications. In 2020, I adopted my first cat, and I quickly became a full-fledged cat person. I've also lived with two cats who didn't get along, so I'm comfortable reading feline body language, giving nervous cats the space they need, and helping them feel safe and comfortable. One of my biggest strengths is adapting to each pet's unique personality and energy level. Whether your pet wants a hiking buddy, a playmate, a quiet companion, or someone to stick closely to their routine, I'm happy to meet them where they are. When you're away, I'll care for your pets the same way I hope someone cares for mine. I can offer patience, kindness, plenty of affection, and lots of updates. Our pets are a big part of our lives, but to them, we're their whole world.
“Amalia was absolutely fantastic!! She came out to meet my dog ahead of time and I could tell right away that my dog was going to be in good hands. She provided me updates and photos, and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Would absolutely hire Amalia again!!”

About: I have been an animal activist for many years and there is nothing I like more than walking dogs. I have been pet sitting and dog walking for my friends, neighbors, and coworkers since I was 12 years old. I work a 9-5 M-F, but I would love to swing by in the morning, evening, or any time on the weekends to walk your dogs. I am also happy to walk more than 30 minutes with your dog; I love going on long walks. I have experience looking after other animals too: cats, birds, fish--even cows! All animals deserve love and I am the right person for the job.
About: With over 15+ years of experience of pet care, I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, turtles, goats, and more. I’ve trained multiple dogs varying in age, breed and sizes and spent years caring for cats in many different environments. I’m an active, attentive, reliable and loving person who goes above and beyond the standards of pet care. I work from home and can provide 24/7 attention and care for your pet if you so desire. I love to walk, hike, explore but also am what people would consider a “home body”, spending most of my days at home. At my home, I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to run, jump, and play around. My home is extremely dog friendly, very clean and a healthy environment for your pup!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Essex Junction
Brooke was fantastic with our dogs, Roux and Jelly Bean\! We were away for nearly a week, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. She took great care of them, handled Jelly Bean’s medications without any issues, and kept us updated throughout our trip. We came home to two happy, healthy, and well-cared-for dogs, and our house was just as we left it. Brooke is dependable, kind, and clearly loves animals. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Alexandra took great care of our homestead the week we were gone. She watched our two working maremma sheepdogs, 14 goats, 20 chickens, and two indoor housecats. She took exceptional care of everyone and sent us regular updates and pictures while visiting. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
