About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid and puppy friendly if sitting happens in my home. I am also great with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting or drop in visits! The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.

About: I am a very caring and attentive individual paired with a deep affection for animals. I will take care of your baby as I do my own. Your pet will be safe, happy and healthy with me! I have a full time job during the week and occasionally work a side job on weekends. I have a very flexible schedule and love to walk! I will care for your animal in your home exactly as needed, making sure they are provided with everything they need and maybe an extra treat or two!

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, and have a 3 year old beagle who keeps me on my toes. In addition to caring for my own dog, I also foster dogs, so I’m comfortable with different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I’m a very active person and love spending time outdoors. Your pup can expect plenty of walks, playtime, and snuggles! I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll keep you updated with photos! I work part-time on weekdays and Saturday mornings, allowing for frequent potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I am happy to adhere to your already established feeding, walking, and potty schedules to keep your dogs routine normal while you’re away! I provide a calm, loving home environment where dogs are treated like family. I will take the time to learn your dogs personality and routine so that they feel comfortable with me while you are away. Whether they need long walks or a snuggle on the couch, I will be there to offer it.

About: Hi, I'm Elissa! I'm a lifelong animal lover who's been pet sitting on Rover on and off for nearly 10 years, depending on where life has taken me. These days I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to spend more time caring for pets while saving for a wedding. I grew up with dogs, so caring for them has always come naturally. Most of my Rover experience has been with dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities… including puppies, high-energy herding breeds, senior dogs, reactive dogs, and pets recovering from surgery or taking medications. In 2020, I adopted my first cat, and I quickly became a full-fledged cat person. I've also lived with two cats who didn't get along, so I'm comfortable reading feline body language, giving nervous cats the space they need, and helping them feel safe and comfortable. One of my biggest strengths is adapting to each pet's unique personality and energy level. Whether your pet wants a hiking buddy, a playmate, a quiet companion, or someone to stick closely to their routine, I'm happy to meet them where they are. When you're away, I'll care for your pets the same way I hope someone cares for mine. I can offer patience, kindness, plenty of affection, and lots of updates. Our pets are a big part of our lives, but to them, we're their whole world.

About: I have grown up with dogs in my life since day one. I have learned how to take care of puppies with high energy to old dogs that need help going out to the bathroom. I have been dog watching for over 8 years and I am used to working with Rover. I’m also available for weekly/reoccurring meetings! I work retail part time and on break from school at Northeastern. I am available most days and have a few shifts a week. I’m free for morning and night walks and for dog sitting too! I will cater to the dogs needs and adjust how I act depending on visual signs. I’m ready to run and puppy around to get out energy. I’m prepared for a dog who is scared and will take time to get use to me.

About: I love pets. Ever since I was little, playing with my pets and taking care of them gave me a sense of importance. To help do so for members of my community would be a great way to reconnect with the simple pleasures of quality pet time. I currently work full-time 4 days a week. The other three days of the week I have incredible flexibility. On the days that I do work, I can flexible in the mornings until 12, 12:30 latest. I will be unable to have pets at my own home due to landlord requests. But, I have ample experience walking dogs and ensuring they are properly supervised. I also am incredibly active and a strong individual, callable of heavy lifting and can mitigate any dragging from a leash.
