About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid-friendly if sitting happens in my home. Good with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once, and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children (I have two dog-loving kids under age 5). I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids) I've always loved my pets as members of the family! I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We don't currently have any pets in our home. Our dogs were allowed on the couch, bed, anywhere, and I was usually curled right up with them, but I of course plan to follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.

I am a veterinary technician who is looking to add some critters to my schedule. I grew up with a variety of pets and next door to my uncle’s dairy farm. I began pet sitting as a teenager and went on to pursue a degree in veterinary technology starting my senior year of high school. During my years as a certified veterinary technician, I have worked with a multitude of animals; from dogs and cats to hawks and racoons. About: (I am currently unavailable for new bookings Thursday through Sunday.) My name is Casey, I'm a student majoring in creative writing, and I'm looking to expand my house sitting portfolio. I have been a dog walker and house sitter for three clients/families in 2025 so far and love popping by for walks every two hours with your pup. Size, barking, and puppy-ness are non-issues! I have extreme patience and good shoulders. My grandma always told me to leave the house you're visiting neater than when you got there, so I have an eye for cleanliness and I don't want you to feel like someone has been living in your home when you come back. I.E. I will ask you if I can vacuum. I'm starting school in the fall at Vermont State University in Johnson, so I am free to book any time this summer, unless I have another doggie booked that day. I'm a list maker so I like to write down your instructions when we have a formal introduction. Food, walks, potty time, play time, training, and housekeeping will all be done to your standard.

About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

About: I have previously worked at the Humane Society, a non-kill shelter, helping to train and take care of dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes. As a student, I have incredibly flexible hours throughout the weekday and weekend. I love hiking and exploring and would love to be able to take some pups on runs/adventures with me, however, I also love cats and am an avid reader, a perfect way to pass an afternoon petting a snuggly kitten. I’ve been a go-to dog and cat sitter for friends, family, professors, and fellow students for years and relish the opportunity to make a new community in Burlington. Currently in a study period and looking for furry friends to keep me company. I am typically able to get places early in the morning, around lunch, and after 3 pm which would be perfect for walks, small breaks, and feeding schedules! I have more flexibility on the weekends. I am comfortable with all potential sleeping arrangements for dogs whether that be crate-training, snuggling in the bed, or having their own dog bed downstairs. I tend to stay up late and get up early, a perfect match for younger dogs who need to go out more frequently. I’m not allergic to cats and welcome a multi-animal household.

I grew up always having at least six dogs among many other animals so adding more dogs to the pack for the day or weekend isn’t that big a deal. I just want to be able to give someone else’s dog a fun time because all dogs deserve to run around sniffling whatever their hearts desire. Most importantly if your dog is going to board in our home, they MUST be house trained. i know it can be hard to get out during the week for working pawrents. While I don't have a fenced yard your pets will be safe. I make sure to leash any dog before opening the door. I also make sure to take any dog in my care to a safe place where they are able to get the exercise they need.if they are not recall trained dogs will be kept on leashes long enough to still run and play safely!

About: Hi my name is Lily and I am an avid animal lover! I am an experienced professional dog walker and pet sitter. I have worked professionally for a local dog walking and pet sitting company in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia and this was easily my favorite job ever! I love the canine companionship and have been a dog owner and care giver since I was very young. I have grown up around dogs (very big and very small) and always loved helping my family raise our dogs throughout childhood and into raising my own cat and dogs for the past 20+ years. I have a small chihuahua named Lola who I rescued from the Richmond VA SPCA 11 years ago. She's very sweet and loves play dates with other dogs but never minds hanging back at home with the rest of her pack. She enjoys shorter walks in her senior years and can often be found soaking up the sun and recharging in the backyard in the warmer months. For six years Lola had a close chi companion named Paco who I rescued from Tennessee in 2020 who is unfortunately no longer with us. He sadly lost his battle with congestive heart failure in January 2026 and Lola and I miss him so much everyday. In Paco's early rescue months it took a lot of time and compassion for him to open up into the sweet boy he was. He lived a very happy and fulfilled life until the end. Helping him blossom into the best, most perfect chi, was easily one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Lola and I have settled in South Burlington, Vermont and despite the cold winter months, we love our new home! In addition to being a professional dog walker and pet sitter with Barksley back in Virginia, I have also provided pet care for my friends and families fur babies for many years now. I am naturally an active person and love going on long walks in the neighborhood or just hanging out in the yard playing fetch. Do you love the dog park? I do too! As a long time dog owner Iv always kept a daily routine based around caring for my pets. That usually means early mornings letting the pups out and feeding them before getting the day started. We always go on our daily dog walk and on the weekends my pups love an adventure outdoors. I have a Petcube camera and baby gates that keep my pups safe while I’m away. We allow our pets on the furniture and love snuggling up to them. They also have many beds available for snuggling if they want as well. We keep fresh water available in multiple spots throughout the house. When I’m dog sitting or boarding I make sure to ask the owner what their pet prefers in terms of a bed or crate. I also make sure to get any information on feeding and potty breaks, or any other funny quirks I would need to know about your fur baby! While boarding dogs, I make sure to check in on the pet cube camera if i ever need to spend any amount of time away.
