About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve always had cats in my life and had the privilege of growing up with the best dogs ever. For the past 10 years, I’ve been caring for pets professionally, building lasting relationships with both animals and their families. Many of the families I work with have become like an extension of my own family. Over the years, I’ve cared for household pets with fur, scales, and feathers. No matter the animal, my number one priority is earning their trust and making sure they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’m especially comfortable working with pets who need a little extra time to warm up to a new person. I’m attentive to body language and behavior, and I take the time to learn what makes them the most comfortable I also have extensive experience caring for pets with additional medical needs, including administering pills, intravenous medications, and inhalers. My own surly old-man cat requires an inhaler twice a day, so I understand firsthand the importance of making medical care as stress-free as possible. Whether your pet is outgoing and eager for a new friend or takes a little more time to come around, I will give them thoughtful, reliable care to give you the comfort of knowing they’re in good hands. I'm currently working part-time in the mornings, and I'm typically free after 3:00 for any pet care. My workday typically starts at 7:00 AM, and I'm unavailable for early morning drop-ins. However, I am willing to adjust on a case-by-case basis. I want to get specific details about your pet's personality and daily routine. I want to make sure I am fulfilling your pet's needs. I know that every animal has different quirks, and I will take your lead on what makes your pets the happiest. I want to know their favorite scratch spot, if they have a favorite bowl or toy, if there are behaviors to keep an eye on, and what kind of training you want me to stay consistent with.

About: I've been around animals my entire life, and I've always considered them part of the family! I got my first dog when I was eleven, and over the years, my family grew to include six dogs. My parents and I have also fostered dogs together, giving me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds, including those who need a little extra patience, reassurance, and time to adjust. I've spent years pet-sitting for family, friends, and neighbors, caring for pets through overnight stays, feeding routines, walks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I currently live with two cats, so I'm comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and understand that every animal has their own unique personality, needs, and routines. My favorite part of caring for animals is getting to know their individual personalities and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and house rules to maintain consistency as needed and possible. In a client's home, I treat the space with respect and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I'm very mindful of my surroundings during walks. I also take the time to get to know each pet's personality so I know how to respond appropriately to their needs and comfort levels. Communication is key, so I always provide regular updates, photos, and messages to give pet parents peace of mind. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where all pets feel comfortable and cared for, and each owner feels confident they've left their pets in good hands.

About: I've spent years hands-on with animals through my volunteer work with Saint Nicholas Animal Rescue and Merrymac Farm Sanctuary, and years of pet sitting growing up in NYC so caring for your pet isn't new to me, it's something I already do because I love it. In my home, my dog Monty stays in his own separate space when I'm caring for a cat, so there's no stress or unwanted interaction. About: I’ve loved cats since I was four years old and have been lucky to share my life with them ever since. In 2017, I adopted a 10-year-old cat who is now about to turn 19. Through years of caring for a senior cat, I’ve learned how important routine, gentle care, and attentiveness are to keeping cats comfortable and happy. I’m currently working in an office environment with plenty of time for visits in the evenings and on the weekends. My schedule is more flexible on the weekends. I provide calm, attentive care tailored to each cat’s routine and personality. About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 10 years old, and was known as the “neighborhood” sitter. This required responsibility managing time from a young age and helping care for cats, dogs, rodents, and even horses! About: I’m a student at the University of Vermont who currently lives in Burlington. I’m trying to make money for college and I know that this job would be perfect for me! I’ve had a dog my whole life, and I’ve absolutely adored taking care of them. I’m good with all types as well, I currently have a low-energy chocolate lab mix and a high-energy rescue as well. I can deal quite easily with messes and certain necessities like diapers/medications/dietary needs. If your dog is reactive, I know lots about that as well and am willing to do anything to make them more comfortable. My current course schedule is very laid back, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your animals! I’m free essentially every day, bedsides Mondays. My 2 dogs currently have a fenced in backyard which they love to use to play fetch. I have a dual-ended leash as well for walks with them both. I throughly enjoy taking them out to trails for new scenery as well! I often bring collapsible water bowls and such on walks as well. I love taking pictures of animals, so you’ll certainly get updates from me! If you ever want to FaceTime me to see how your pet is doing as well, I’m totally fine with that! I’m open to just about anything :)

About: My family grew up with dogs and cats; the animals are treated as family. Pet sitting (and baby sitting) were part of the routine from early on. My Consulting work is done remotely, which makes my schedule flexible for Rover assignments, and, additionally leaves ample Time for getting out on the trails with tails. About: Hi there, my name is MJ and I'm interested in help you with your doggos, or just your one and only pupper. I have been around dogs all my life. From chihuahuas, to pitties, a Rhodesian Ridgeback (yeah, they have a lot to say. Lol...), to your average American mutt, I seriously love all dogs. For the ones that just want the basics to those who are super charged, I can match their energy. I'm available for drop-in feedings, walks, and play-time. Have a doggo that needs a little extra attention, no problem I don't mind hanging out for a few hours, so you can run errands doggo free, appointment that might be long, or just need to escape for a bit. I am flexible between the hours of 8:30am-5pm, if you are in Shelburne village I can be a bit more flexible until 8pm. Overnight stay can be arranged with at least 2+ weeks notice. We have 2 fabulous felines, Zen & Leia, that are our fur babes!! We start every morning with feeding & water changes. Toy & fun, scritches & snuggles, sometimes even a cat nap. We make our own cat food as well. I have cared for personal family pets, friends pets (dogs, cats, fish, smallies.). I am very professional and enjoy being around animals very much. We have 2 cats, Zen Vader and Princess Leia. We also have a ball python, Ms. Bea Arthur. Caring for animals brings me so much joy, and I love the thank yous of butt wiggles and a purring machine.

About: I have experience providing reliable pet care, including dog walking, feeding, and attentive supervision to ensure pets stay safe, active, and well cared for. I have done jobs over 2 weeks or occasional walks. I am currently working part-time and am a Graduate student, so I should have plenty of time to help with daily walks or overnight stays. May need to work around occasional 6 hour shifts or a traveling weekend, but otherwise available I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from the owner. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times, whether in my home or the client’s home.

About: Fueled by a genuine and passionate love for animals, I was a small-animal veterinary technician for 9 years. This led me to earning a pre-veterinary science degree from the University of Vermont followed by a job working at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists' small animal hospital. I have since changed my career but still pursue animal care in my free-time. This includes pet sitting, dog walking, and anything else you may need. From dogs and cats to bunnies and birds, I had it all growing up and this pet hobby has transcended into my adult life. I'm confident administering medications, trimming nails, scrubbing your fish tank, or simply walking and playing with your pets. My friends, coworkers, and family have relied on me for years for top notch pet care. I currently work from home full-time and therefore have a lot of flexibility to come care for and play with your pets! I take my own dog on walks, hikes, or to the dog park every day and would be glad to do the same with yours. Ample exercise = a happy pet! I care deeply for animals and will do all I can to keep them safe, happy, and health. I have a fenced-in yard in the New North End of Burlington that is perfect for supervised dog play and exploration. We are also just a 5 minute walk from the Starr Farm Dog Park. I follow all leash rules and will never let a dog go unsupervised while playing with a toy or eating a treat to eliminate choking hazards.
