“Daniel's been training Clea (and me) as well as walking her, he's attentive and kind and loving. She's a very sweet dog who means well and learns quickly, but she can get carried away - his presence in her life has made a big, calming difference. Thank you Daniel.”

“Ashley was an awesome cat sitter! We have a very shy and particular cat and Ashley was great with her (and also took some really great pictures). I will 100% be asking her to watch Cobb in the future!”

About: I will devote my time to giving your beloved pet the best experience I can provide for them! I love both cats and dogs, and am always excited to meet new animals. I have worked for Camp Bow Wow for a year, and Paws and Unwind for 6 months. I have also been training dogs of and on for 10 years now. I love the chance to work and spend my days with new, happy dogs! It is one of the greatest enjoyments in my life! Thank you for your time, and I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I live with my little brother in an apartment, we have 2 cats, and I devote my time to them and the care of the house. Your pet will fit right in for as long as they need to! I have an upstairs apartment, and sadly no yard, but I live right downtown, near multiple dog parks and trails, so your pup will have ample opportunities for exercise!
“Anna is incredible and we feel so lucky to have her taking care of our 10 week old pup! It’s so wonderful to know his time with her is always going to be safe, loving, enriching and supportive.”

“Ella is a great cat sitter. She sent at least a dozen high quality pictures per day, and spent extra time with my cats. The antisocial tortitude loved her on sight, and she patiently won over the other one. I will definitely seek her out the next time I need someone to watch them. 10/10”

About: I have volunteered at two animal shelters since 2021 where I've gained experience taking care of dogs of all sizes, cats, and rabbits. I have also been a pet-sitter for friends and family for a number of years. My family has always had pets since before I was born, and I've grown up with cats, dogs, and guinea pigs. Our current pet count is seven: six cats and one dog! I am currently looking for an internship or a part-time job, so I have plenty of time during both weekdays and weekends to care for your pets! I love going on walks and spending time at the beach, as well as relaxing at home with a good book, so I am prepared for dogs of all energy levels and cats. I am happy to take your dog on leashed walks or have unleashed playtime in a fenced area. Whether they need space or enjoy making new friends, I will ensure your dog is safe and comfortable when outside the home. I set alarm reminders for my own dog's potty breaks to keep track of her activity and ensure she doesn't have any accidents, and I will do the same for your dog! I am also very experienced with feline escape artists, so I will do my due diligence in ensuring that your doors, windows, and fences are secured.
“Kerstin was wonderful and took amazing care of my little guy! She was very informative and let me know what was happening the whole time while sending lots of pictures. I would recommend her to anyone! I will be reaching out to her again in the future”

“Charlotte did an awesome job with my sensitive/territorial cat! She ensured that Banshee got some play time in, as well as provided updates about meal times. Really appreciated the photos and updates from each visit, I would absolutely recommend!”

“I’d give Ashton 10/5 stars if I could… this was my first time booking with her and I honestly could not be more impressed with her updates, communication, and problem solving. Thank you, thank you, Ashton!”

“An incredible sitter! Me and my partner were nervous to leave our kitty for a week but Marissa made him so comfortable! Our kitty is normally really shy but he just loved Marissa. We came back to a very happy Cat and a clean litter box. Thank you Marissa for just a wonderful job!”

“Christine is a cat sitter who goes above and beyond. Her first and foremost care is for the wellbeing of your creature, made evident by her patience, creativity, and willingness to drop in extra times when our cat became territorial while we were away. She checked in with us about bringing her own tools and treats, and had the experience to win over our cat. We are so, so grateful to her for how thoughtful, persistent, and kind she was in the face of a hissing beast! We highly recommend Christine for her compassion, clear communication, and willingness to get the job done with care.”

“So thankful I found Lianna! She goes above and beyond for drop in visits with my pup a couple times each week - not just making sure she gets dinner water and potty breaks, but taking time to reinforce good habits and work on some training with her. It’s so nice knowing she is in caring and thoughtful care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a pet sitter that is responsible, punctual and genuinely cares!”

“This is the second time Zoe has watched my two cats and she does such a great job. Whenever I go on trips I know I’m leaving them in good hands in Zoe’s care. She always sends pictures and I come home to two well-fed and happy cats.”

About: I’ve had my own dogs all my life and have sat and walked pets professionally for around 2 years, so I am equipped with the skills necessary to keep pets safe and happy. I’ve had one-time clients or recurring clients — whatever the owner needs! I love pets and have always gotten along well when I meet a friend’s pet, hence my interest in expanding this passion. I am currently in medical school and my schedule is relatively flexible - I am able to walk your pets, drop in to make sure they’re okay, or stay with them all day! I generally have classes in the mornings and afternoons mostly off. I am available for walks or overnight stays depending on the pet parent’s request. I am happy to work with clients and figure out a schedule that works for them! I abide by all rules the owner set. I will inquire ahead of time of any special needs the pet has or certain routines from the owner. I am not there to intrude - just offer the same level of care and love as the dog would normally get! I also understand some pets may be anxious with a new person in the house, so I will do my best to ease into my position and offer a lot of comfort to the pets before trying to play with them or feed them.
About: I've had pets my entire life, and have been taking care of others' furry friends for over 6 years! I have fostered both puppies and kittens at home and provided dog-walking and petsitting services around the neighborhood. I have experience with a wide range of dogs, and can take care of puppies. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is open this summer for dog-walking, petsitting, and drop-in visits! I am available on weekends, evenings Monday-Tuesday and after 10:00am Wednesday-Friday. I have a small yard that's great for play-time. I live in walking distance of several parks and trails perfect for walking, hiking, or swimming–whatever your animal needs!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Burlington
Chrissy was a fantastic kitty sitter. She was kind, responsive, loving towards a lonely kitty and even went above and beyond watering plants, brining in mail and offering to get not kitty litter. What a gem! I could be more grateful for her service and will definitely use her again when we leave out kitty.

This is the second time Ella has cared for my two middle aged cats. I highly recommend her. She was very attentive to their needs. She communicated lots of useful information about feeding, litter box and behavior of the cats plus many great photos. The house was tidy and everything in order when I returned. Thank you, Ella!

Clare was absolutely amazing! We've never used Rover.com before and were a bit hesitant. When we reached out to Clare a few weeks before vacation, she was very responsive and asked great questions during our initial meet-and-greet phone call. Even while on vacation, receiving updates and pictures of how our kitties were doing really helped ease the uncertainty. Clare went the extra mile all around - from being consistent with feedings to providing play time when the kitties were receptive and monitoring the amount of food they were eating, given we had just changed over to a new hard food for our senior boy! Thank you so much! We're so appreciative of you, Clare, and will definitely be using your services in the future.

Logan was wonderful with my shy cats! She was punctual and always kept me informed during the drop-ins, and also took the time to try and bond with the cats a bit, which I greatly appreciate. Usually my boys are a little skittish when I first come back from a trip, but this time they were remarkably chill!

One of our cats in particular is very shy, but Anna made friends with both of them in record time. She handled medication with care and sent detailed, thoughtful updates with many photos showing our cats relaxed and happy with her. Very glad to have met her and had her check in on our girls!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burlington. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
