Pet Boarding in Burlington

About: As a kid, I've always had a love for dogs and would watch my friend's dogs when out of town. My goal is to always give a dog all the attention and love they deserve, whether it's through long walks, drives, or spending some quality time cuddling. I have no problem with big or small dogs; they all deserve the same amount of love! I currently have 2 dogs (Charlie & Remi, 60lbs each), who are great with other dogs and humans. They would love to help provide some fun playtime to other furry friends! Together, we are always down for fun adventures outside, or a chill day at home :) I'm available for boarding and dog walks any day of the week! I'd love to spend some time this summer taking care of your dog and making sure that they have fun :) I have a fenced yard and 2 very sweet, friendly dogs who would love to have a new friend to play and hang out with! Because of the fenced yard, the dogs can take as many potty breaks as needed (or even extra outdoor playtime!). Dogs need to be able to go up and down a small set of stairs to get into the house. For dog walks, I can either take them with one of my dogs or give your pet a personalized one-on-one walk so they can make the most out of their experience.

“Julia was AWESOME. In fact, I worried that our dog, Tucker, would end up preferring to stay with her rather than come home with us! She watched our very enthusiastic 1.5 year old golden retriever for the weekend, and took him on hikes, had him splashing in brooks and meeting goats. She was easy to get in touch with, accepted our last minute booking (including squeezing in a meet and greet prior) and sent great photos. 10/10 recommend!!”

“We had a sitter back out last minute with a trip we had booked for a couple of months. We have a young, anxious, high strung dog and we were worried about leaving him somewhere that’s too stimulating, like a kennel. We were traveling from Maine to Vermont so I decided to try Rover and see if somebody could watch him for us in the city we were staying in, so we could be available if there was a problem. Paul responded quickly and accepted Bjorn’s stay within five days of the trip. We kept Bjorn during the day but we dropped him off in the evenings. Paul was quick to respond in all communications about Bjorn, whether it be about drop off/pick up, care, questions about how he was doing. He even problem solved when Bjorn was too nervous to use the bathroom, and asked me for tips when he was struggling to eat. We also got pictures throughout his stay. He made me feel super comfortable leaving my nervous baby with him and didn’t make us feel like Bjorn was too much (which I know he is). We appreciated Paul’s care of Bjorn so much, it really took the stress off during our trip.”

About: Hi there! My name is Ally (they/them) and I am an experienced doggy day care employee and groomer-in-training looking for flexible pet care opportunities while finishing up school. In addition to having cared for pets most of my life, I have extensive professional experience caring for, mediating behavior of, feeding, and administering medications to up to 100 or more dogs at a time! I would be more than happy to train your puppy, show your senior pet some love and comfort, or spend some quality with your kitty! While my work experience is primarily with dogs, I love pets of all kinds, and would be so excited to care for any pet, no matter how “unusual” (snakes, lizards, spiders, insects, rodents, birds, etc.) I look forward to getting to know you and your pets! As a student I have a lot to do in a day, so drop in visits/walks are ideal, but house sitting is a viable option as well! How I plan on caring for your pet is primarily determined by client instruction. I will do my best to care for your baby the same way you would! I prefer to use positive reinforcement for training or behavior modification, and I like to keep feeding and medication schedules quite consistent. I also really enjoy sending lots of photo check ins! I feel most comfortable when you and your pets feel most comfortable, and it’s incredibly important to me to establish a relationship built on mutual trust. To me, your home is a workplace environment, and will be treated with the same respect.

We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.
