“We had a sitter back out last minute with a trip we had booked for a couple of months. We have a young, anxious, high strung dog and we were worried about leaving him somewhere that’s too stimulating, like a kennel. We were traveling from Maine to Vermont so I decided to try Rover and see if somebody could watch him for us in the city we were staying in, so we could be available if there was a problem. Paul responded quickly and accepted Bjorn’s stay within five days of the trip. We kept Bjorn during the day but we dropped him off in the evenings. Paul was quick to respond in all communications about Bjorn, whether it be about drop off/pick up, care, questions about how he was doing. He even problem solved when Bjorn was too nervous to use the bathroom, and asked me for tips when he was struggling to eat. We also got pictures throughout his stay. He made me feel super comfortable leaving my nervous baby with him and didn’t make us feel like Bjorn was too much (which I know he is). We appreciated Paul’s care of Bjorn so much, it really took the stress off during our trip.”

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

“Aaron was a great fit for our dog - Miso loved spending the week with him. It took a few days for Miso to adjust to his first ever sitter and Aaron handled it well - checking in with us when he noticed that Miso wasn't eating and seemed a little home sick. By the end of the week, Miso seemed to be having a great time. Aaron sent pictures and updates throughout the week, which was really appreciated. We would highly recommend Aaron. He was open to meeting with us before we left on vacation and asked great questions (vet info, local contacts, likes and dislikes, etc). We usually leave Miso at a boarder, but since our trip was going to be longer than usual we were hoping to find someone local that could give Miso more personal attention and affection - Aaron made us feel comfortable leaving Miso with him for an extended period of time. About: I’ve been taking care of family dogs as well as those of friends, neighbours, and extended family for about 15 years. I’m a lover of dogs of all sizes and breeds, and doing activities from walking, hiking, running, playing and even just chilling on the couch! Over the last couple of years I’ve been watching a few different senior dogs over night for long periods of time, providing medications and other remedies they may need. Hello! My name is Harry, I live in the Burlington area and specialize in nature/adventure focused pet care. I love going on runs, hiking, swimming, road trips and walks with pets of all ages, sizes, and outdoor ability. I’m currently free just about any day to help care for your furry family members, shoot me a message and I’d be happy to chat more about the kinds of services I can provide :-) I currently live in the South End of Burlington next to a large park, the bike path, and the waterfront. I have enough space here for your pet to run around and play either solo or with my other furry friends. Inside my home I have the ability to care for three to four pets at once based on size as my partner and I have several rooms in our apartment for your pet to lounge, play, and enjoy themselves! In regards to care in your home, I am able to stay over night, check in daily or even just walk your pet when needed! I have a car so I can meet just about anywhere and I’m happy to take your pet on little adventures if desired. I love to stay active so playing, walking, hiking, running and swimming are some of my favourite activities to do! However if needed I can kick my feet up and be a homebody for the more lazy pups.
