I love dogs and animals and have always works extremely well with all sorts of breeds of dogs. I am available any time! I will follow every instructions the owners give. “Our small, active dog had a wonderful stay at Christina’s! (2 nights) She is very caring and watchful of the dogs in her care. Sweet grass yard, and dogs can go in and out as they please. She took the time to send photos every day, which gave us wonderful peace of mind that our little guy was doing well. We’ll book with Christina again!!”

“Alejandra took excellent care of my cat, who is a bit stand offish, but that was okay. Alejandra's home home is comfortable with lots of places for a cat to explore. I'd definitely board Sasha with her again.”

“Julia was AWESOME. In fact, I worried that our dog, Tucker, would end up preferring to stay with her rather than come home with us! She watched our very enthusiastic 1.5 year old golden retriever for the weekend, and took him on hikes, had him splashing in brooks and meeting goats. She was easy to get in touch with, accepted our last minute booking (including squeezing in a meet and greet prior) and sent great photos. 10/10 recommend!!”

“Janessa took wonderful care of our senior dog over the holidays. She is communicative and sent the sweetest updates. Our dog felt right at home and we felt at ease knowing she was well taken care of during our time away.”

“Brooke was an amazing sitter for our dog, Huck. She was quick to respond, sent updates while we were away, and provided a comforting environment for our anxious pup. Huck seemed to get along really well with her dog, and we could tell he was tired and happy when we went to pick him up. Would highly recommend Brooke and we would love to work with her again in the future!”

About: Hi all! I am a professional in the medical field at UVMMC who works remote part-time with ongoing afternoon/evening availability and weekends. I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid, and now have an adult rescue dog who I have completed successful dog training with for reactivity, anxiety, recall -including ecollar work. I have cared for friends dogs, and followed all of their routines. I can administer meds, go on runs, take them to the dog park, or fulfill any need/quirk. I am excited to hear all about their personalities and continue whatever training or routine that you have got going on for them. I treat dogs like they are children to be cared for! I work in healthcare, but I’m often available for midday walks during the week. Some nights of the week I can do a walk. I am intermittently available for either one or two weekend days/nights that welcome other dogs into my home to stay, potentially the whole week! Let’s have a meet and greet with my friendly guy first. I take dogs on walks in a quiet neighborhood and within 5 minutes I can run to an off dog park that is usually quite empty.
“Eric was very flexible and accommodating. He sent lots of pictures, videos and communicated well. Our dog got lots of exercise and Eric seemed to take him everywhere with him. We will plan to rebook with him in the future if he is available and highly recommend.”
“Daniel helped take care of Emily for two days when I was away. He was very professional throughout the whole process and apparently Emily liked Daniel. Daniel responded my request promptly and was punctual while picking up and dropping off Emily. He was very thoughtful to bring dog treats the first time to meet Emily and updated Emily's information every evening to let me know how Emily was doing. He asked question if felt uncertain to make sure my dog not nervous in a new place. Daniel works during the daytime but I think he told me his roommate working at home and was able to take care of Emily to make sure she had enough walk time in a day. My dog was back home full of energy and I could tell she enjoyed staying at Daniel's place! I would highly recommend to choose Daniel for his professional attitude and high-quality care for dogs!”

Harrison took great care of my dog Daisy while we were away for a week. He shared updates and photos and was super helpful about coordinating drop off/pick up - everything went smoothly. I would absolutely book with Harrison in the future when we travel; she had a great time!

JD and his family took excellent care of my two dogs, Dot and Tot. They were caring, meticulous about schedules, and communicative to me throughout the weekend. Their house is located next to a large park with a variety of hiking trails - an excellent location providing plenty of walking and exercise opportunities. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when I come back up!

Nu was awesome! She watched our two dogs while we headed to Canada. She was incredibly kind, communicative, and compassionate while taking care of Jack and Pongo. Nu kept us informed with fun photos of activities while asking questions in order to tend to the dogs’ needs. Highly recommend to any dog owner 🙂

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
