“Christina was an excellent host to Curie, our 8yr old female Labradane ! She was very accommodating and communicated often on how our dog was doing. She spent quality time to get to know her better and make her feel at home. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a 'home away from home' for their four-legged family members!”

About: Hey there! I’m Emily and I’m excited to meet you and your adorable pet! I’m a lifelong animal lover. I have a friendly and outgoing husky mix and grew up with cats and a bird. Ever since I was ten, I would watch my friends and neighbors' animals when they went out of town or walked them when they couldn't. I am a teacher so I am gone during the day. I have a very active lifestyle and love hiking and running and I would love to bring your dog with me! I do live in an apartment but I am constantly outdoors. I walk my dog three times a day so you can expect that as well. She is very friendly and energized so you can expect a tired dog when you come to pick them up. I’ll show your dog the same love and care that I show my own so you and your pet will feel comfortable. Let me know if your dog has any behaviors or needs I need to account for so they will feel safe and comfortable. Please provide any care instructions for your pet or house during the meet and greet. Since I do have a dog your dog and mine must get along so I would love to have them meet to make sure everyone is happy!
About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

“I cannot say enough great things about Charlene!! She was so kind and accommodating! She updated with pictures and communication. Lou can be a bit grumpy and doesn’t warm up to strangers very quickly but by night two with Charlene he was snuggling up with her! She is a true dog whisper with a very calming and welcoming demeanor!!! I would recommend her 100 times over!!!! We will 100% be coming back to her!! Lou loved her a ton and played well with her cute pup Scout!”

“Cia took great care of our dog while we went away for a weekend. To us, the most important things we look for in a sitter are responsibility, sensitivity, and good communication. Cia has all three of these. After this experience, we definitely recommend her services and we will surely use her again. Thanks, Cia!”

“Julie and her partner were absolutely amazing! They were communicative and attentive, took care of our dog like their own. They are great people who genuinely just want to make sure your pet is comfortable away from home! I can't recommend them enough!”

“I'm so happy and grateful for Chelsey to take care of my rather demanding dog, Ziggy:) Her household is filled with love. Hearing and seeing that Ziggy had a great time with her kids and pets gave me a big relief. I highly recommend her care for anyone looking for a lovely and caring place to keep their pets. She shared pictures of Ziggy throughout his stay:) THANK YOU!”

“Meghan did a great job! This was my first time leaving her with someone unfamiliar and it went great. Meghan sent updates, which was really appreciated. After picking my pup up I could tell she was comfortable and had a good time. I would book Meghan again!”

“I could not ask for a better Sitter, She always kept me updated, with Text, and pictures. She made me feel comfortable and reassured that my buddy (pup) would be in good hands. It was truly awesome all the way around, I highly recommend her as a sitter.”

“Due to circumstances outside of our control our plans changed at the last minute. Kimberly worked with us to help modify our booking, which was a huge relief with everything we had going on. Jedi had a grand time with Butter, and we will certainly be using Kimberly again when we travel.”

About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid-friendly if sitting happens in my home. Good with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once, and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children (I have two dog-loving kids under age 5). I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids) I've always loved my pets as members of the family! I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We don't currently have any pets in our home. Our dogs were allowed on the couch, bed, anywhere, and I was usually curled right up with them, but I of course plan to follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.
“Hannah took wonderful care of our miniature dachshund for the day. We had a ski trip planned and needed to have someone watch our shy girl while we were away. She was attentive, took her on multiple walks, and made pick up and drop off very easy. I definitely recommend Hannah and would have her pet sit again.”

“Aaron was a great fit for our dog - Miso loved spending the week with him. It took a few days for Miso to adjust to his first ever sitter and Aaron handled it well - checking in with us when he noticed that Miso wasn't eating and seemed a little home sick. By the end of the week, Miso seemed to be having a great time. Aaron sent pictures and updates throughout the week, which was really appreciated. We would highly recommend Aaron. He was open to meeting with us before we left on vacation and asked great questions (vet info, local contacts, likes and dislikes, etc). We usually leave Miso at a boarder, but since our trip was going to be longer than usual we were hoping to find someone local that could give Miso more personal attention and affection - Aaron made us feel comfortable leaving Miso with him for an extended period of time. Thanks for taking such good care of Miso for us, Aaron!”

“Alejandra took excellent care of my cat, who is a bit stand offish, but that was okay. Alejandra's home home is comfortable with lots of places for a cat to explore. I'd definitely board Sasha with her again.”

“Jessica was incredible. We have a very anxious and sometimes reactive dog and she got comfy so quickly and have a lovely time with Jessica. We will certainly be using her services again!”

Jericho pet parents share their Rover experiences
Leaving our German Shepherd, Cocoa, with Eric and his family was our first experience using in-home care instead of a kennel, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Eric was incredibly easy to communicate with from the start, always responding promptly and clearly. He took the time to meet with us and Cocoa ahead of our trip, which gave us immediate peace of mind. It was clear right away that he is kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. During the 10 days we were away, Eric went above and beyond. He sent regular updates, including pictures and a video, and kept us reassured with messages that Cocoa was happy and doing well. He followed all of our care instructions closely and was very attentive to her needs. We came home to a well-cared-for, happy dog, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I would absolutely recommend Eric and his family to anyone looking for trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate dog care.
