About: I grew up on a farm so I've been surrounded by animals my entire life. I have experience with dairy operations, including milking, cleaning, and birthing goats. I also have experience caring for goats, horses, mini ponies, dogs, cats, small reptiles, birds, and guinea pigs. I have been pet sitting since I was 15 with all of the perviously mentioned animals. I also have experience in training horses as well as puppies. I also have experience working with a variety of aged animals, including seniors, so I am able to adapt to additional needs. I also have experience administering medication to a variety of different animals. I am looking for a part time position while I finish up my studies at UVM. I only have classes in the evening two nights out of the week. I can be flexible to drop by and hang out with your pet during the day, if it's better I can also hang out with your pet for most of the day if I can study with them! Also if you contact me with enough notice (~ 3 days) I will most likely be able to make time of the weekends to provide care! Typically I like to meet the pet while the owner is there to see their personality while they have the comfort of their owner there. Then I try and establish trust and connection with your critter while you are there so it won't be as scary when I return while the owner is away. I try and stick to the critter's normal routine, whether that's going for a walk, playing, or feedings at a certain time or in a certain manner to try and maintain their normal routine as much as possible.

About: I grew up around dogs my whole life! I am happy to learn your dogs routine and personality to ensure the best care possible. I am comfortable with medical needs and puppy care! I am a full time student but have availability in the mornings and evenings for pet care needs throughout the week. On the weekends I am available for pet care as well! I am open to staying with pets and am extremely responsible and communicative. I have worked with many families in the past caring for their pets within their homes.

“Alan was communicative and flexible, he worked with me to come earlier than I had originally requested which was very appreciated. Overall great experience”

“Omni is great, knows exactly what to do with my impulsive pup. Confident, gentle, kind.”

About: I’m a former Saint Bernard owner, and while my beloved pup passed away two years ago, I’m not quite ready for another dog of my own just yet. However, I would love the opportunity to help care for yours. In addition to my experience as a dog owner, I’ve fostered three different dogs for a local organization and have been a reliable dog sitter for many of my friends. At age seven, my dog Dempsey was diagnosed with cancer in his back left leg. The treatment options we chose gave him an expected lifespan of just 10 to 18 months. However, with dedicated care, Dempsey defied the odds and lived nearly three years — just one month shy of that milestone. On top of his cancer diagnosis, Dempsey also began experiencing seizures a few months after surgery. Managing his care required administering medications three to four times a day, which became a crucial part of my daily routine. I share this with you to highlight the level of care and dedication I put into ensuring Dempsey’s well-being. That same level of commitment and compassion is what I bring to caring for any dog entrusted to me. Whether your pup needs extra attention, special care, or just some love and playtime, I’m here to help provide peace of mind while you’re away. I’m currently unemployed, so my schedule and availability is pretty open. I typically stay home most days, but usually play soccer once a week, which means I’ll be away fur around two hours. I have a fenced in yard, while also living close by to parks for fun walks. My house is very dog friendly so they will be safe and unable to get into any trouble. I also have Apple AirTags that I can easily affix to dog collars as an insurance in the unlikely event your pet was to get loose during my time with them.

About: I grew up with 2 dogs and for the first time am living away from them. I have loads of dog experience and have also looked after many friends and neighbors cats in the past. Experience with feeding, walking, cleaning, playing and everything else in between! I work part time in Burlington and I am a full time student. I am typically gone for 4-6 hour increments throughout the day and will spend the rest of the hours providing care for your animals. Home in the mornings, evenings/nights, and can find breaks to get back mid day. One of my roommates is a vet tech at BEVS (Burlington Emergency and Veterinary Specialists). I love to go for walks and be outside as much as I can and will do what I dan to make your animals feel comfortable and cared for. We have lots of grass and live in a walkable, safe neighborhood.

“Great communication and incredibly helpful!”

About: Compassionate and Reliable Pet Sitting Hi there! I’m Pia, an animal lover with a big heart for all creatures, big and small. While cats have been my primary focus (I’ve rescued and cared for over 20 cats!), I also enjoy spending time with small dogs and ensuring they feel loved and safe while their humans are away. I may not have as much experience with dogs as I do with cats, but I’m patient, attentive, and committed to providing the best care possible for your little furry friend. Why Choose Me to Care for Your Dog? - Gentle and Calm Approach: I understand that every dog has a unique personality, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable and secure. - Safety First: I only accept small/medium size, friendly, and non-aggressive dogs (no biters, please!). Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. - Basic Care: I’ll make sure your dog is fed, hydrated, and gets plenty of love and attention. I can also take them for short walks or playtime in a safe environment. - Updates & Photos: I’ll keep you in the loop with updates and photos so you know your pup is doing great. A Little About Me: When I’m not caring for animals, I enjoy making art, jewelry, and printmaking, as well as reading, biking, and exploring the outdoors. My calm and patient nature makes me a great fit for small pets who need a little extra TLC. Availability: I work part-time, so my schedule is flexible! Whether you need morning, afternoon, or evening visits, I can adjust to your needs. Let’s chat about how I can help care for your small/medium size dog while you’re away. I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your cat! Whether you need morning, afternoon, or evening visits, I can adjust to your needs. My availability includes weekdays and weekends, making it easy to find a time that works best for you and your furry friend. Let me know your preferred schedule, and I’ll do my best to accommodate it! Services I Offer: - In-Home Visits: I’ll come to your home to feed, play with, and care for your cat or small dog in their familiar environment. For cats, I’ll clean the litter box, refresh their water, and ensure everything is tidy. For small dogs, I’ll take them out for short walks or playtime, as needed. - Feeding: I’ll follow your instructions to make sure your pet gets the right food, at the right time, and in the right portions. Fresh water is always a priority! - Medication Administration: I’m comfortable giving oral medications or other treatments to cats and small dogs, ensuring they stay healthy and happy. - Companionship: I’ll spend quality time with your pet, whether they want to play, cuddle, or just have someone nearby. I adapt to their personality and needs! - Peace of Mind: I’ll treat your cat or small dog with the same love and respect I give my own pets. You can trust me to go above and beyond to make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well-cared for. Walks: If your small dog enjoys a little outdoor time, I’m happy to take them for short walks during my visits! Whether it’s a quick stroll around the block or some fresh air in a safe area, I’ll make sure your pup gets the exercise and stimulation they need. Safety is my priority, so I’ll keep them on a leash and stick to familiar routes. Let me know your preferences, and I’ll tailor the walk to suit your dog’s energy level and routine!

About: While life's circumstances have never permitted me to cohabitate with a dog-friend of my own, I have loved dogs since I was a kid. I am lucky to work in a relatively dog-friendly establishment and my interactions with the amazing dogs of Burlington are often the highlights of my day. As an avid walker and adventurer, I love spending time exploring nature and neighborhoods with a canine companion. Ten times out of ten, it's a more beautiful and rewarding experience than walking with headphones in. I hope to one day live in an apartment or house that allows me to invite a full-time dog companion into my life, but until then I am more than happy with the opportunity to assist in the care and well-being of the dogs in my surrounding area. Please don't tell my cat (Martin) that I've said any of this! Currently, I mostly work weekday mornings. My afternoons usually consist of studying, reading, running errands, and exercising/meditating. What is so great about this schedule is that it is very flexible. I am usually free of obligations by noon and can design my own schedule for the day from there. I put a lot of mental and emotional energy into creating a comfortable and stable environment for animals. In my own home, which we humbly share with our cat, we keep a consistent feeding schedule and we play with buddy at least once every day. I try to be receptive and calm in the presence of any animal and to respect their desires and well-being while also trying to maintain order and consistency. I find that sometimes animal care just means sitting quietly in a room with a pet and, when the occasion calls for it, I'm happy just to be there as company. And, of course, I am equally happy to assist in "getting the ya-ya's out."

“Alison is great! She is extremely responsive and always willing to help. Her updates about the walk are great! She is wonderful with my more timid pup.”

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since 2019. I have trained, taken care of, walked, and many more with all sizes of dogs. I am very energetic and love playing with dogs to get their energy out, love going on kick walks with all puppies, dogs, and senior dogs. I have a dog and take her out whenever I can, on the weekends I take her to the dog park and get her tired out. I try to fit pet care into my routine whenever I can. My dog is trained in commands and knows not to wander off. I have a mobile fence for training dogs. I use non-retractable leashes so she is always at an arms length, and a handle on harness if needed.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 13. I have experience with dogs and cats with different personalities and diverse needs and am confident in caring for them. I am excited to join rover and take care of pets, as I miss my own back home and animals bring me so much joy. I love walking dogs throughout my week and boarding occasional week and weekend nights. I have a very flexible student schedule and am excited to care for pets because I miss my own. I have an unfenced yard and closed porch. I take dogs on frequent walks to ensure potty breaks are frequent enough, and they are always welcome to sit on the porch if they'd like fresh air between then!

“Christine is fantastic. So friendly and caring to our pup and even managed to be nonplussed by the two neighborhood dogs deciding to join in on the walk! Highly recommend her.”

“My dog loved Kean! He had a big grin on his face in all of the videos and photos, and I always got individual reports after his walks. Kean was also flexible when our original plan didn't work out, and still gave Leo the exercise and fun that he needed. I would definitely recommend her.”

“My Georgie loved Yelena immediately! She is so sweet and kind. She asked great questions about my complicated pup and really listened to my answers. She sent a few picture updates of George during her visit and reassured me that he was doing great. I would 100% book with Yelena again and recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy person to take good care of their babies.”

Cheesie also likes to escape from the house sometimes and Pia is super responsible about making sure she stays inside and the door stays completely closed. Even though Cheesie doesn't have many physical needs, Pia spends a lot of time with her when I am gone to make sure she has company, warmth, and someone to play with and cuddle. Cheesie and I are both very grateful!”

“Can't imagine somebody I trust more with my two (psychotic) dogs than Sean! Very sweet and patient when chaos reigns supreme, but also excellent at steadying the ship whenever possible. Sincerely and very highly recommend reaching out to Sean to look after + walk your pups. Everybody wins.”
