About: Hi, My name is Amalia I am currently a graduate student at UVM with a track to medical school next year :) I just moved to VT from DC area a couple of months ago and love it here so far. I have had pets all my life and heard that in addition to pet sitting I could farm sit? I got back on rover the second I heard :) I have school during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, other than that I will walk or hang out with your pet before and after, depending on how often they need to be outside or with company I will always try to adhere to your and your pet’s needs. Please let me know in advance if there are any preferences when it comes to “homeyness” or accommodations necessary for your pet to feel most comfortable!
About: Hey! Im Skye! I’m a senior at the university of Vermont studying political science and history. I’ve had pets from gerbils to horses my entire life and have cared for pets with special needs, disabilities, and aggression. I would love to spend some quality time with your pup or kitty whether it be snuggling all day or going for a hike! My number one priority is your pet’s safety and well being. —— Open to boarding smaller or low energy dogs, must be okay with cat in house. My schedule varies, but I work from home most of the time. If im watching your pup it will be a day I work from home so I can give them attention throughout the day. If watching a pet in your home, I follow the provided instructions, while ensuring to keep everything clean and tidy. If boarding in my home, your pet is welcome to the entire apartment, when supervised, and will mostly hang out in the living room or my room. Pets are allowed on couches and beds. We do have a cat in the home that will ignore the dog as long as it is not aggressive towards her.
About: I've had dogs since I was very little. Very comfortable with anything from small and anxious to big and jumpy. Currently have 2 cats at home, a very young senior and a old kitten. I am a full time graduate student with some intermittent periods of free time and am always looking to take a study break and go hang out with some pets. Im currently a Doctorate of Physical Therapy student at UVM. So whenever I'm not in class I'm free to spend it with your furry friend. Since I have cats, I always make sure my home is pet safe and there isn't anything around that could hurt them or get them sick.
About: My family grew up with dogs and cats; the animals are treated as family. Pet sitting (and baby sitting) were part of the routine from early on. My Consulting work is done remotely, which makes my schedule flexible for Rover assignments, and, additionally leaves ample Time for getting out on the trails with tails. I enjoy being out-of-doors, and hope that some time outside is part of your furriends’ daily care plan. I believe in sticking to the schedule that clients have established with their animals for meals, toileting, play time and quiet rest.

About: My name is Amelia and I am in college studying animal sciences. I have experience with dogs walking, cat and fish care, and would love to help you and your pets out in any way I can! I’m currently a full time student, so I can pop in and out mid morning and in between classes throughout the week. I will make sure the animal gets a good chunk of my time and attention and will make sure not to rush them. It’s important the animal is safe and stimulated while I am with them. If I am dropping in to feed or take care of your pet I will ensure a clean environment and that they are enriched until a caretaker returns. If I am taking your pet on a walk I will cater to the dogs temperament and endurance. The pet’s experience (and their bathroom/food needs) is optimized.
About: I have taken care of and walked dogs for as long as I can remember, whether that be for family members or people local to me, and it is something I am very passionate about! I am currently a student at the University of Vermont, but my class schedule allows me to have a lot of free time during the day. I am looking to just walk dogs for the time being. I know the Burlington area very well so I am comfortable with different walking routes.
About: I have grown up with and taken care of pets my entire life. I love spending time with and find peace among dogs, cats, and chickens! I am a current part-time student and employee. I have the most consistent availability in the early mornings (6am-8am) and over the weekend. I can be flexible if needed! I am adaptable and take a calm and patient approach when meeting a pet to whom I am a new person. I understand that trust is mutual and takes time!
About: I work remotely for my full-time job, which allows me to be a reliable option for midday dog walks and in-home pet sitting. If you work in person or are traveling, I can be present during the day and in the evenings to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. I grew up with a cockapoo and still care for him when my parents are traveling, especially now that he’s a older with a medical condition. That experience has made me attentive, patient, and very respectful of detailed care instructions. I also help care for and walk my brother’s large, high-energy young rescue dog, which has given me experience with exercise needs, structure, and understanding sensitivities that some rescue dogs may have. I’ve house sat for both dogs and cats and genuinely understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own home. My lifestyle is calm and quiet, which works well for animals who thrive on consistency and steady care. My goal is always to give you peace of mind while giving your pet the attention and care they’re used to receiving. Because I work fully remote, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. I can step away for quick check-ins or potty breaks, and I have a full lunch break for longer dog walks to help keep energy levels in check. I’m also happy to provide steady companionship for cats, including those who enjoy sitting nearby, or even on your lap, while I work. My flexible schedule makes me a great fit for house sitting any day of the week. I can stay in during the day and evenings, keeping your pet’s routine consistent. With a quiet personal life, I genuinely enjoy making pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I prioritize safety in every aspect of pet care. While I don’t provide care at my own home, I focus on following your instructions closely, so I fully understand your pet’s needs, preferences, and routines. This helps me keep them safe and comfortable during walks, playtime, or while staying in your home. By paying careful attention to cues and routines, I can ensure your pet feels secure and well cared for at all times.
About: I have grown up with dogs, ranging from a teacup yorkie to a bullmastiff lab. I recently adopted a mix terrier of my own who has become by best friend. I have been trusted by friends and family to care for their pets like I do my own and have been doing so much more recently! I am a recent college grad on the job hunt but in the mean time would love spending time and caring for your four legged friends! I care for you pets of course as you ask and care for them and with a lot of love. I respect the guidelines you set for your furry friends and will do my best to make them feel secure as it can be nerve racking for them to not have their people around!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. When I was younger I walked my neighbors dogs after school a few days a week. I am available almost every weekday and weekend this summer to take care of your pets! I am fairly flexible and can cater to your needs. Keeping your pets safe and entertained are my top priorities. Wether that is keeping them inside or in your yard or making sure they stay on leash when we are out on walks.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - South Burlington
Casey did a wonderful job walking our dog Jax while I was away on a five-day business trip. Her help was a huge support to my wife while I was gone, and we really appreciated having someone so dependable caring for Jax each day. It quickly became clear how much Jax liked and trusted Casey. He figured out when she would arrive and would sit by the window looking out expectantly for her each day. Casey was great to work with from start to finish. She came to our house beforehand for a meet-and-greet with Jax, and she provided thoughtful updates after every walk. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Jax was so happy and well cared for. We would gladly work with Casey again and highly recommend her.

Gabrielle is kind, reliable, communicative and clearly has a natural way with dogs. My dog felt comfortable with her right away, which says something because he can be wary of new people. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. Gabrielle went above and beyond and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker. At the end, my dog wanted to stay with her…the ultimate endorsement!

Sarah has taken Remi for two walks recently and is wonderful with her! Remi is a rescue with her own particular issues and Sarah is patient with her, gives me updates and pics of their time together . Already booked Sarah for house sitting for our upcoming vacations 😊

I can’t thank Charlotte enough for her help. Leaving sick pups is never easy, but she was so wonderful and attentive to their health needs. Her updates and pictures were the highlight of my day! She’s genuinely a cool person and so easy to coordinate with. If you're looking for someone trustworthy and kind, book Charlotte! 11/10

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
