About: I grew up with my family’s various rescue cats and dogs, so I’ve always been an animal lover. Since childhood, I’ve also enjoyed pet sitting for friends, family members, and neighbors whenever I’ve had the opportunity to do so. I have experience looking after cats and dogs, as well as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and a couple of different types of lizards. I have some experience with training my/my family’s cats and dogs, and lots of experience with giving love to animals of all kinds! Because of my love for animals, I donate 10% of my proceeds from each Rover booking towards humane societies and animal rescue organizations. I’m currently a full-time college student, so I use the remainder of my Rover earnings to afford care for my own cat. During the school year, I’m a full-time student at the University of Vermont, and I love petsitting between classes. When I’m not in classes or doing Rover visits, I’m often spending time with my own cat! I spend most school breaks with my family in Illinois, and frequently petsit then too. I recognize that every animal is unique with their own personality and needs, and it’s important to me to ensure that your pet is as comfortable, happy, and healthy as they can be while you’re away! I’m happy to follow any instructions you have to care for your pet and your home. If there are any particular precautions you want me to take, or if there’s anything else I can help out with (e.g. bringing in mail, putting out trash cans, etc.) while you’re away, just ask!

“Daniel has been walking my dog 2x daily as I recover from an illness and he has been fantastic. Always on time, very gentle, they have great walks with training - a great helping I am grateful.”

“Nicolas is so kind and communicative! Olive always gets so happy to see him, and he is especially patient with her as an energetic puppy who can be quite stubborn.”

About: I have been around pets my entire life, and I owe much of my knowledge of the little things that go into properly caring for them to my experience owning several pets myself (currently 3 dogs)! I have also had several years of experience helping friends, family, and neighbors care for their pets, both dogs and cats alike. I understand the nuances that comes with catering your efforts depending on the nature of the pet and have had my fair share of dealing with different personalities so I am very willing to be patient and receptive of owners wishes so I can ensure the best experience for the both of us. Although I am new to this app, my past experiences are just as relevant, and I hope to meet some new pets and people in need of care around the area! While I am a full time college student, if I have a steady schedule set out for me I have the capacity to make daily trips for pet sitting if need be. I will be sure to be very prompt and communicative with any fluctuations in my routine as to better inform owners. While I cannot offer up care for pets in my apartment where pets aren’t allowed, I am more than willing to establish a trusted relationship with pet owners who are offering sitters to stay at their home. I will take the extra time to ensure they feel comfortable with having me there and that I will be respectful of their space. I will tailor my visits tightly to the owners instructions while filling in my experience in pet care along throughout the process to help ensure it is as smooth and stress free as possible for owners
“Lianna has been a communicative and reliable weekly walker for our dog. He can be anxious at times and she won him over right away. We are happy to have found her and will definitely continue having her walk our pup!”

“Cara has been absolutely wonderful with Frita Beans! Frita can be a little timid at times, but Cara’s patience and gentle approach have helped her feel comfortable and happy on their walks. I feel completely at ease knowing Frita is in such good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and kind dog walker!”

About: I have developed a deep passion and care for animals since I was a kid. I possess experience in walking and caring for the pets of family and friends. I currently work part time as a patio furniture delivery professional. Which allows me to maintain a flexible schedule with plenty of free time on the days I am not assigned deliveries. This flexibility works perfectly for pet care. As I can dedicate generous amounts of time to caring for animals whether that includes daily walks, play sessions, feeding, or general companionship. I have prior experience caring for pets. and I am comfortable managing their routines to ensure they remain happy and healthy. My schedule allows me to spend quality time with pets throughout the day. While I don’t have pets myself I am well acquainted with the needs of animals through my friends and family. I am comfortable spending time with them and can attend to their requirements, such as ensuring they are crated when necessary, while also respecting any boundaries already set.

About: I’m a student at the University of Vermont who currently lives in Burlington. I’m trying to make money for college and I know that this job would be perfect for me! I’ve had a dog my whole life, and I’ve absolutely adored taking care of them. I’m good with all types as well, I currently have a low-energy chocolate lab mix and a high-energy rescue as well. I can deal quite easily with messes and certain necessities like diapers/medications/dietary needs. If your dog is reactive, I know lots about that as well and am willing to do anything to make them more comfortable. My current course schedule is very laid back, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your animals! I’m free essentially every day, bedsides Mondays. My 2 dogs currently have a fenced in backyard which they love to use to play fetch. I have a dual-ended leash as well for walks with them both. I throughly enjoy taking them out to trails for new scenery as well! I often bring collapsible water bowls and such on walks as well. I love taking pictures of animals, so you’ll certainly get updates from me! If you ever want to FaceTime me to see how your pet is doing as well, I’m totally fine with that! I’m open to just about anything :)
About: I’ve been taking care of family dogs as well as those of friends, neighbours, and extended family for about 15 years. I’m a lover of dogs of all sizes and breeds, and doing activities from walking, hiking, running, playing and even just chilling on the couch! Over the last couple of years I’ve been watching a few different senior dogs over night for long periods of time, providing medications and other remedies they may need. Hello! My name is Harry, I live in the Burlington area and specialize in nature/adventure focused pet care. I love going on runs, hiking, swimming, road trips and walks with pets of all ages, sizes, and outdoor ability. I’m currently free just about any day to help care for your furry family members, shoot me a message and I’d be happy to chat more about the kinds of services I can provide :-) I currently live in the South End of Burlington next to a large park, the bike path, and the waterfront. I have enough space here for your pet to run around and play either solo or with my other furry friends. Inside my home I have the ability to care for three to four pets at once based on size as my partner and I have several rooms in our apartment for your pet to lounge, play, and enjoy themselves! In regards to care in your home, I am able to stay over night, check in daily or even just walk your pet when needed! I have a car so I can meet just about anywhere and I’m happy to take your pet on little adventures if desired. I love to stay active so playing, walking, hiking, running and swimming are some of my favourite activities to do! However if needed I can kick my feet up and be a homebody for the more lazy pups.

About: I love pets. Ever since I was little, playing with my pets and taking care of them gave me a sense of importance. To help do so for members of my community would be a great way to reconnect with the simple pleasures of quality pet time. I currently work full-time 4 days a week. The other three days of the week I have incredible flexibility. On the days that I do work, I can flexible in the mornings until 12, 12:30 latest. I will be unable to have pets at my own home due to landlord requests. But, I have ample experience walking dogs and ensuring they are properly supervised. I also am incredibly active and a strong individual, callable of heavy lifting and can mitigate any dragging from a leash.
About: Growing up, we always had two dogs and a cat. I quickly became the designated dog walker of the family which then lead me into dog sitting for family friends and neighbors. In college I used to walk dogs through WAG and had a blast. I'm used to dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I love animals and watching after them as a side gig is so fun! I work part time, so on the days that I have off, I can easily work in a few pets that need care and TLC! I follow the instructions I am given by the pets owner and I respect their home as if it was mine. If a pet is in my home, I make sure nothing chewable or food is left out to prevent any issues.
About: At home (Corinth, VT), I have grown up with 30 chickens, 3 sheep, a dog, and now 3 cats (we had 5 at one point!). I have experience dog sitting for multiple weeks at a time, dog walking, and am patient with anxious, easily aggravated, and loud dogs. I currently work in the mornings on Saturdays, but am free the rest of the week to tend to pets' needs! I love going for walks so an active dog is right up my alley, however I have plenty of experience with less active dogs as well (my family had a 16 y.o. chocolate lab). I have cared for multiple pets while their owners were on vacation in-home, however, I also have experience caring for a cat for 3 weeks on a drop-in basis. I am responsible with keys, as I have sat for homes in both rural environments as well as in Boston, MA.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Burlington
Had a great experience booking daily walks for three days with Jenna. Had to book super last minute and she was kind enough to accept and be flexible with us. She provided a rover card for each walk showing how far and long they walked as well as if my dog pooped 1-2x which was rlly helpful for me. jenna also went the extra mile of feeding him and making sure he ate after his walks while also keeping him company for a good amount of time afterwards too. All of which was rlly appreciated, well communicated, and shows how much she cares! I also received a daily picture which I looked forward to everyday :) not many dog walkers would do all of this but she did. Also, it was rlly important that my dog goes on a 30 min walk once every 24 h or else he won’t eat and starts throwing up from starving himself and she responsibly did show up within the asked/ flexible time frame:) Would book another walk with her in the future

Casey did a wonderful job walking our dog Jax while I was away on a five-day business trip. Her help was a huge support to my wife while I was gone, and we really appreciated having someone so dependable caring for Jax each day. It quickly became clear how much Jax liked and trusted Casey. He figured out when she would arrive and would sit by the window looking out expectantly for her each day. Casey was great to work with from start to finish. She came to our house beforehand for a meet-and-greet with Jax, and she provided thoughtful updates after every walk. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Jax was so happy and well cared for. We would gladly work with Casey again and highly recommend her.

Gabrielle is kind, reliable, communicative and clearly has a natural way with dogs. My dog felt comfortable with her right away, which says something because he can be wary of new people. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. Gabrielle went above and beyond and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker. At the end, my dog wanted to stay with her…the ultimate endorsement!

Sarah has taken Remi for two walks recently and is wonderful with her! Remi is a rescue with her own particular issues and Sarah is patient with her, gives me updates and pics of their time together . Already booked Sarah for house sitting for our upcoming vacations 😊

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment.
