New on Rover - Not New to Dogs!
Hi! I work from home and make my own schedule so I’m able and happy to be at your pups beck and call/woof?! My Husky-lab mix, Duke, which I had for 10 years changed my life. Besides the experience of caring for him, and his issues with arthritis, along with his stubborn Husky streak, I’ve also cared for many of my friend’s dogs in various capacities. I recently lost him which has now given me the motivation and time to pursue spending it with other’s dogs. That’s as simply as I can put it. I have the time to be with your dog when you can’t and promise you he will get the most personal and attentive care you could want. I love walking, hiking, a vigorous game of catch, a downtown stroll on Church Street, or doing whatever your dog wants to do - I have the time and the love to do it. So as of now there are no other dogs at home; your dog will literally be part of the family and have 24-hour company and supervision, except perhaps an hour or two for errands. I don’t have a yard but a small balcony, but I am a 5-minute walk from the green path, North Beach, Arm’s Forest, Ethan Allen Park, Leddy Park and I have a dog-safe vehicle to travel anywhere, if your pup likes a nice drive. I also have A/C for those hot summer months! They’re also allowed on the furniture and beds. I’ve had years of experience taking care of all of my friend’s dogs; walking and sitting … but always for love not for a fee, hence why there are no ‘paid’ reviews. Happy to answer any questions.

Catherine is one of THE most conscientious pet care people I’ve ever known. Before my soul dog passed away she was our go-to for walks and boarding for many years. He loved her as much as she loved him. I highly recommend Catherine for any and all pet care.
Catherine is a dog lover through and through. She and I would take our dogs on walks in the woods and adventures at the lake and her dog would go with her just about everywhere. She is compassionate, responsible, kind and fun. If I was a dog, I would want to live at Catherine’s house:)

Schedule
I work from home and my schedule is completely flexible and will revolve around your pets; that’s it. I’m at home full time except for an hour or two to run errands.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a 3-story townhouse with balcony. Your dog will have run of the house but if stairs are an issue, he can be contained to the main level, if necessary. I can gate the stairs. Your dog is allowed on beds and furniture and outside on balcony when I’m home. There are no other dogs here.
A typical day
I am able to do everything … long long walks multiple times a day as needed, as required. Trips around town, local hikes, dog park (if desired)…I took my dog everywhere allowed! I will spend time on mental stimulation; training new tricks (at least attempt to do so), lots of fetching games, tug, etc …
