About: I have had dogs all my life and in the past few years have studied dog behavior and training. I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement and prioritize establishing trust, confidence, and good communication with every dog I work with. Whether your dog is just learning the ropes or is an off-leash veteran, I will meet them where they're at and make sure they have fun along the way! I enjoy establishing a working relationship with clients and have seen consistency be a key factor in working toward any training goal. That being said, I am open to more sporadic pet-care needs and am here to support you in fostering your dogs well-being! In the summer I work full time on a farm, but in the off season my schedule is very flexible. I am available for mornings, evenings, midday drops in, and longer adventure excursions! When working with a dog safety and comfort is my top priority. I ensure the dog is slowly intruded to every new environment and give lots of treats to establish a positive association. Before taking your dog on a neighborhood, I make sure I have an understanding of their comfort around other dogs, children, cars, etc. so that I can help them work through a situation that might evoke fear or aggression.

“Mildred was wonderful with our dog, Maple. We were gone for a week and it was a relief to know that Maple was being well cared for in her familiar environment. Mildred sent pictures and updates every day to let us know how they were doing and what they were up to- taking walks in the woods, playing frisbee, and just hanging out. They really bonded and I think Maple misses her! It was also comforting to know that our house was in good hands while we were gone. We came back to a house that was cleaner than it was when we left it. We would definitely want to have Mildred house-sit with Maple again.”

About: All neighbors in my community have relied on me to walk and board their dogs since I was young! I’ve taken dogs on nature walks, car rides, and made sure they felt at home with me or while I was watching them when their families are on vacation. All pets have been comfortable with me and are ecstatic when I come back to visit or board them. I work a part time job but in my free time I’m available to take care of pets daily or at night as well! I love to keep busy and occupied with my pets at home and would love to continue that while living at my apartment up in Vermont. I am happy to care for your pets to your preference. I can take them out as frequently as possible even though I don’t have a backyard. I’m happy to go on frequent walks and crate them as well if needed.
