About: While I’m new to Rover and building my profile, I’m not new to caring for animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and have experience with pets of different ages, personalities, and needs. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, so I make communication a priority and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Growing up, I also helped at a shelter with my mom, which gave me early experience working with animals of different temperaments and needs. I truly love animals and enjoy making them feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m very active and love spending time outdoors, especially hiking. I used to take my last dog, Loulou, on adventures with me, and I would love to have a furry companion to explore nature with. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet like my own. I’m excited to earn the trust of both pets and their owners by providing reliable, loving care every time. I’m also flexible with location and can help with pick-up and drop-off if that makes things easier. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m consistently available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and often on weekends, and I can plan my days around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. On the days I’m available, I make sure to dedicate quality time to each pet whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just giving them attention and companionship. I enjoy being active, so incorporating walks or outdoor time into my day feels very natural to me. I’m also attentive to each pet’s routine and will adjust my schedule to match their usual habits as closely as possible, helping them feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets, I always focus on keeping them comfortable, safe, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific preferences or habits the pet has. In my home, I create a calm and clean environment where pets can relax and feel at ease. I make sure they have plenty of attention, playtime, and regular walks, along with a safe space to rest. I’m attentive to their behavior and mood to ensure they’re happy and not stressed.

About: My name is Anya and I grew up with dogs, ever since I got my first lil guy on Christmas morning when I was four. I've lived with and cared for four dogs over my life, including my most recent pup, Ajax. He passed in 2022 and you can find his memorial on my profile. I miss him every day but am at peace knowing he had a GREAT life. Dana is my wife and she did not grow up a dog person. But Ajax became her boy as much as he was mine. She fell in love with him and became the most dedicated dog mom, caring for Ajax with walks and giving medicine and grooming him, as well as loving him with SO many cuddles and pets and fetch sessions. Now she points out every dog she sees. We now have a dog that we adopted together - Artemis! She is a cattle dog with the funniest and most stubborn personality and we adore her. We want your pets to feel at home with us - they're allowed on the furniture and in bed (except for cats), where they will receive so much love - or as much love as they want! We have plenty of time to dedicate to them and are comfortable with plenty of walks, playtime, bathing and brushing, giving medicine, specific food, and more. I have a flexible 4-day work week, entirely from home, meaning I have plenty of time to dedicate to pets, from walks to cuddles, playing and bathing! Dana is currently doing Rover full time. However many walks a day your pup needs or want, we can give them. We typically don't make plans for all day or night, though we'll occasionally go to the movies or out to dinner. No matter what, we know the importance of pet care, consistency, and dedication, and that is our top priority. Our flexible schedule allows us to adapt to a pet's schedule and make sure we're there for their needs and to make them as comfortable and loved as possible. We live in a two-bedroom apartment. Dogs will be allowed in every room, cats allowed in every room except the bedroom, and all pets are allowed on furniture. Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly, with lots of safe sidewalks and other dogs. We also have a small dog park (still plenty of room for fetch and playing!) in walking distance that is well-maintained and safe, and we love to take walks there and to the local library across the street. Both Dana and I are sensitive to a pet's need, especially after taking care of Ajax who passed from stomach cancer. Medication, bathing and grooming, diet maintenance, keeping a clean and safe home are all things we strive for and will prioritize for your pet. We have a good knowledge of food safety for pets, as well as keeping anything potentially harmful out of reach and put away. We now have another dog - Artemis, a 3-year-old cattle dog.

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, and other animals of all ages since I can remember. I have fostered animals through the local shelter with my mom for roughly a decade, and have taken care of pets with a wide variety of ages and needs. I have fostered around 30 dogs, and have my own dog and cat! Your pet's safety, comfort, well-being and enjoyment are incredibly important to me, and I treat all animals as if they were my own. I also keep a detailed folder of information for each client, including pet needs, preferences, likes and dislikes, health concerns, and more! I am super excited to meet and help take care of your pet! I am dedicated to caring to your pet full time meaning I have a near open availability. I am available any time Monday-Saturday, and after 1pm on Sundays. I have experience with many types of pets - anxious ones, hyper ones, shy ones, and more! In addition to always following your instructions and your pet's needs, I will always treat safety as the #1 priority. I am experienced with walking pets of all sizes, I ensure all potentially chewable items are stored away safely, never allow toxic materials around your pet, and although it has never happened, I am familiar with emergency veterinarians in the area should an emergency occur, and keep a pet first-aid kit in my car. I also have resources on pet CPR and choking. I use my own experience as a pet owner to ensure all safety precautions are taken. I also keep a detailed set of notes for each client, based on what their pet needs, prefers, or any health concerns they may have, and update these notes as needed.
