“Brian and his girlfriend have been wonderful walkers for my dog, Murphy. They’re reliable and communicative, and have expertly navigated situations when my more senior dog refuses to leave the sofa 😂. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable dog walker or watcher in the Berkeley area!”

About: I seek to provide exceptional care for my clients, paying close attention instructions, communicating well and, of course, giving your pets the loving attention they deserve. I work from home, so my schedule is super flexible! Excited to meet your cutest companions! I have a part-time job so I have a fairly open and flexible schedule. I can provide pet care at odd hours if needed, just let me know what works for you! I love being active and spending time outside and am happy to do so with your pet--or just do cuddles on the couch. I am also happy to provide them any medications if the need arises. I will provide a safe and loving environment for your pets!

About: In addition to helping raise our family dog growing up, I have years of experience caring for dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments. My approach emphasizes positive reinforcement, emotional regulation, consistency, and clear communication. I draw inspiration from evidence-based training methods, including the principles outlined in Karen Pryor’s Don’t Shoot the Dog. I have experience caring for energetic dogs, sensitive dogs, and dogs who benefit from extra patience and structure. Most recently, I rescued my mini poodle mix, Luigi, in January 2026. Working with him has deepened my understanding of canine behavior, relationship-building, and creating an environment where dogs can feel safe, confident, and understood. Whether your dog needs exercise, companionship, routine care, or simply a calm and reliable presence, I will treat them with the same attention and respect I give my own. I work approximately 15 hours per week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. My flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent, attentive care and spend meaningful time with the dogs in my care. Dogs receive a minimum of three walks per day, with many receiving four to five depending on their needs and energy level. Safety and trust are my highest priorities. I pay close attention to each dog’s body language, comfort level, and individual routine. I use positive reinforcement, maintain clear boundaries, and strive to create a calm, structured environment where dogs can feel safe and understood. I am happy to follow your existing feeding, walking, medication, crate, and training routines to ensure consistency. Whether caring for your dog in my home or yours, I will treat them with the same attentiveness and respect I give my own dog, Luigi.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with both dogs and cats and have years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. In addition to having a dog of my own, I've fostered numerous puppies, dogs, and kittens, which has given me experience with everything from energetic young pets to those needing extra patience and attention. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter, where I help care for animals and support their well-being. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m currently on a very flexible schedule and available weekdays and most weekends, allowing me to accommodate pet care needs, walks, drop-ins, and boarding requests. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide attentive, reliable care and treat every pet like family. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, follow your pet’s routine closely, and ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you're away.

About: Hi! I'm a reliable and caring pet lover with over ten years of experience looking after dogs and cats. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going for walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply keeping them company. I'm also happy caring for cats and love getting to know each pet's unique personality and routine. I work remotely as a grant writer for nonprofit arts organizations, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. I'm passionate about making and experiencing art, and I bring the same creativity, attention to detail, and responsibility to pet sitting. When I'm not writing or creating art, you can usually find me spending time with friends, practicing yoga, or baking. I'm excited to provide your pets with loving companionship and attentive care while giving you peace of mind that your home and furry family members are in good hands. As a remote grant writer, I have the flexibility to provide pets with plenty of attention throughout the day. Spending time with pets is genuinely one of my favorite parts of life. I provide attentive, personalized care based on each pet's routine and needs. In a client's home, I aim to keep pets comfortable by maintaining their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and plenty of affection. I understand that consistency helps pets feel secure while their owners are away, so I follow all care instructions carefully and keep owners updated with regular messages and photos. When caring for pets, I make sure they receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship. For dogs, that may include walks, playtime, and outdoor breaks. For cats, I enjoy interactive play, enrichment activities, and quiet companionship on their terms. I also treat every home with respect, keeping things clean and secure while providing reliable, responsible care for both pets and property.
About: I grew up around dogs and have always been involved for caring for my family's dogs, Bailey and Coco and Zipper - bathing them, feeding them, taking them on walks and keeping them entertained! I really want my own dog but since I'm planning to move around a lot in the next several years, I don't think it's the right time for me to take on that commitment. But I love being around dogs and I'm looking to pet sit so I can make some furry friends! I have looked after friends dogs, for periods of just a few hours up to several weeks. I have experience with all types of dogs. For example, when I looked after Kaiya, the white lab in my photos, we walked for around 2 hours a day - you might be able to tell from the photos that she was very active and loved exploring. When I cared for Mellow, the chihuahua in my photos, he had to have twice daily ear drops, which he really hated. But I made it up to him by letting him sit in my lap basically 100% of the time. I work remotely so I have a lot of flexibility and end my day quite early around 2pm, so we’d have lots of time for afternoon walks. Unless I have a specific event/activity planned, I am basically available whenever. I don't currently own a dog, so your pet would be my focus. Because I don't own a dog, I don't have any supplies/toys/etc on hand, so you would need to provide anything your dog needs.
About: Hi, I'm Bernadette! I have owned dogs my whole life and love the care and support they bring to everyone in their household (because I'll admit, mine are the true rulers of the house). Physical health is a big thing for my pups and I love taking dogs for walks in parks with lots of green space for them to enjoy. I have privately taken care of neighbors puppies before Rover for about 10 years and loved every minute of it. I have trained my family dog and would love to work on some training if that's needed or wanted. Your pup will get 100% attention from me to achieve 100% happiness for them. I'm here to help give your pet some much-needed love, and exercise.
About: Hello! I'm a trustworthy, caring, pet & plant lover with years of pet- & home-sitting experience under my leash… er, belt. My very first foray into pet-sitting was as a teenager, when a family friend asked me to care for their pet rabbit while away. That lovely little rabbit was a great teacher – one lesson that really stuck was how all creatures are sacred, and deserving of love & respect. These days I most commonly look after dogs & cats, but also have experience with smaller animals (fish, birds, iguanas..), and have sat house for friends, family & strangers alike, the world over. I returned to the US after living & working abroad for several years, and am currently based in lovely and iconic Highland Park. I work from home, so no problem keeping your four-legged(s) company through the days, and providing ample outdoor breaks. I also have a daily meditation practice, which many of the pets I look after find either odd, amazing, or nothing special at all. Some have even been known to join in with me! I’d love to meet you and your furries, so please don’t hesitate to reach out any time. And if you’d like to speak with any of my previous clients, they’d be more than happy to give a reference. Thanks for checking me out – I hope to connect with you soon! As mentioned, I work from home. I'm online with clients for several hours of the day. All I really need is a good wifi connection and a (relatively) quiet place to work. My schedule is also quite flexible, so I can set longer breaks and rearrange my start and end times to better suit your pet's needs. Of course all the usual feeding, outdoor breaks, walking, snuggling, positive communication and energy. And then, as per the pet's and client's needs, I'm open and able to provide the best experience possible for your furries.
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have cared for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and fish. My love for animals runs deep, and I believe every pet deserves exceptional care, patience, and kindness. Over the years, my family and I have owned and cared for 30+ dogs and 10+ cats, giving me extensive hands-on experience with pets of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I owned my first dog in 2005 and my first cat in 2013 and currently have one right now that is my best companion. From time to time, I help my parents with caring for the other dogs and cats, after I moved out. I also have experience training both puppies and older dogs, helping them build positive habits and confidence. As a devoted pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members. I pay close attention to detail, carefully follow all care instructions, and treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they receive the love, safety, and attention they deserve. I’m currently in-between contract work so I have plenty of time to walk, take care of, and/or play with your pet(s). I have my pet to care for and love, but I have enough time right now to help others with theirs as well. I know what it feels like to want someone you can trust around your pet(s). I talk to my cat and incorporate daily training with an appropriate amount of treats + play time so that he’s happy and healthy each day. I make sure he has enough clean water, food (but not over feed him), and litter. Lastly, I provide pets and cuddle time if he wants it, which he usually does.
About: When I was 25, my fiancé and I adopted a Dalmatian mix into our first home together. He was the first living thing I ever worried about more than myself — that kind of devotion, that unconditional love, it stays with you and shapes how you show up for every animal after. I adapt to what each dog needs. High-energy dogs get proper exercise and stimulation, seniors get patience and a gentler pace, and anxious dogs get time to warm up on their own terms. I follow routines closely because consistency is what makes dogs feel safe, especially when their people are away. I’m based in West LA, I know the neighborhood well, and I’m available for walks and house sitting. Your home will be treated with care and respect. Walks are always on leash, I stay alert to what’s around us, and I send regular photos and updates so you’re never left wondering how your dog is doing. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d love to meet your dog. Pet care is a top priority in my daily and weekly routine, and I pride myself on being flexible and available to accommodate a variety of schedules. Whether it’s morning walks, mid-day check-ins, or evening cuddles, I can seamlessly integrate your pet’s care into my day. I’m an early riser, so morning walks or feeding times fit naturally into my routine. Throughout the day, I can provide drop-in visits, walks, or companionship, ensuring your pet has consistent care and attention while you’re away. Weekends are also wide open for longer adventures like hikes, park visits, or simply spending quality time at home, depending on what your pet loves most. My goal is to ensure your pet feels cared for and supported, regardless of how busy your schedule may be. With me, you can rest assured that their routine stays steady, and their happiness and well-being remain my priority. I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a loving environment for every pet in my care, whether in my home or yours. I ensure all spaces are clean, secure, and pet-friendly, follow routines meticulously, and provide plenty of love and attention to keep pets comfortable and happy. Walks are always on a leash, and I stay alert to avoid stressful situations while ensuring your pet enjoys their time. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique needs and personality, building trust and providing personalized care. Regular updates and photos keep you reassured, knowing your pet is in safe, reliable hands.
“Claire has walked Bella every week now for 3 weeks. She has been generous with her time and care. I fully trust that she has Bella’s best interest at heart. She goes out of her way to do the little things that make my dog happier and makes my life easier I 💯recommend her .”

“Melissa was terrific. She was available on short notice and walked my dog Rocky 5 times over 3 days. Rocky loved Melissa. She was on time and did a great job. I would definitely call Melissa again.”

About: I grew up volunteering at Sean Casey animal shelter for over 7 years. I walked dogs twice a week while maintaining a clean and comfortable environment in an urban area. Additionally, emotionally supported the dogs that just came into the shelter. As a college student I have a lot of free time and a flexible schedule. I have a a lot of gaps between my schedule and I have a three day weekend. I always grew up loving animals, especially with dogs. I grew up with dogs all my life and understand their behavior very well. I will protest your dog like they are my own baby!
About: I’ve taken care of 7 dogs of all ages in my 10 years of experience. 4 cats, all ages too, in my 10+ year career. I am working part-time, mostly on-call right now, with my own vehicle. This gives me a very flexible schedule for weekdays and weekends. Reach out! My preference is at the client’s house. My apartment can only have small cats and dogs temporarily. My experience proves I’m trustworthy in your home!

The pictures Sunny took of Brody were stunning and so beautiful! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sunny! Note to Sunny- thank you so very much. We look forward to more walks with you!! 💜🐕🐾🌱

I can't recommend Egle highly enough. She has been absolutely fantastic with my miniature schnauzer, Alfie. From day one, it was clear that she has a natural ability with dogs and genuinely cares about the animals she works with. One thing I particularly appreciate is that she's willing to incorporate specific training and behavioral reinforcement during walks. Whenever I've asked her to work on something with Alfie, she's been incredibly receptive and consistent, which has made a noticeable difference. It's rare to find someone who goes beyond simply walking your dog and actively helps reinforce good habits. She's also exceptionally reliable. She's always on time, communicates proactively and provides thoughtful, detailed updates after each walk. The notes and photos give me confidence that Alfie is getting great care and allow me to stay informed on how he's doing. Most importantly, Alfie absolutely loves her. It's obvious she knows how to connect with dogs, and I always feel completely comfortable knowing he's in her care. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, professional, knowledgeable and genuinely great with dogs, I would wholeheartedly recommend

Caitlin is the sweetest! Lunch had the best time on their walks. Caitlin took him to explore new areas each day and sent the cutest photo updates! She really put so much effort and thought into enriching his daily walks, and he was such a happy (and tired) guy when I got home!
