“Ross was great. He took both the dogs on two long walks every day. They thoroughly enjoyed having him take them. He was also very communicative and kept us up-to-date on what was going on with them during the day. Highly recommend him.”

“From the minute we met Rachel I knew we struck gold. She knew right away how to manage our Cinnybun who was already nervous greeting someone new. He took a liking to her shortly after. Rachel is a true professional and authentically works to understand what and why a dog does what they do. We are very fortunate to have met her and will continue to book her. I highly recommend Rachel. I booked her for walks with my dog while I was away on travel and it was the best decision. Thank you, Rachel!!!”

About: Hi! I’m Taryn, a remote professional living in Venice Beach with my sweet 4.5 year old terrier mix. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet like family. Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pup needs an active walk, a cozy place to relax, or just someone to stick to their routine while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I always prioritize safety, communication, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and loved. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands. Living in Venice Beach means we’re surrounded by great walking routes, and I love getting outside with dog! My goal is to make your pet’s stay feel like a fun vacation while giving you peace of mind. Pet care is a 24 hour job for me - I have a young dog. Her needs always come before mine, and I always want to make her feel safe. This carries over into any pet I take care of! Please let me know if there is anything I should know about your home - loose fence boards, etc. Your dog will never be out of my sight!
About: I have had cats and dogs all my life plus many other critters over the years. I was a professional groomer for 16 years. I love caring for animals and will treat yours as my own. I am offering dog walking services and drop in visits. Due to having 3 cats and a large breed dog of my own, I don’t stay overnight in your home but if you are a cat only household or you have a dog that is okay sleeping alone you can book me for house sitting to come by multiple times a day to feed, hangout and play with your animals, change litter boxes for cats, walk your dog/give as many potty breaks as needed, give meds ect. I’m currently doing walks drop ins and pet sitting as my full time job, so I have plenty of time to walk, feed and play with your babies! I can confidently follow any instructions and match the needs of your pets. I’m comfortable giving medications and even have experience giving sub q fluids. I’ve owned dogs of all sizes. My last dog was a blind 5 pound Chinese crested. My current dog is a 65 pound Belgian malinois. when I was grooming I specialized in special needs and rescues so I can comfortably handle all temperaments even the most skiddish or aggressive animals trust me.
“Booked Lindsay for a quick mid-day walk when I was going to be out of the home a little longer than normal. She was quick to respond for the booking, arrived on time, and definitely went the extra mile with Bella. You can tell she is an “animal person” and made sure my pet was loved on for the short time they were together! Highly recommend!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog owner and animal lover based in Venice. I’ve cared for dogs since I was 5 years old, and they’ve always been a central part of my life. I currently have two well-socialized dogs who enjoy calm, structured walks and daily outdoor time. Your dog will always be treated with patience, consistency, and care tailored to their individual needs. I’ve raised dogs through all life stages — from puppies to senior dogs — and understand how important it is to feel confident your dog is safe, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away. My background includes years as a tech executive and current doctoral studies in Chinese medicine, which has strengthened my reliability, attention to detail, and calm, steady approach to care. I'm a full-time medical student who prioritizes keeping my pups active, happy and relaxed. I'm home most of the time studying when I'm not at school 10 minutes away. Would be happy for your dog to join us on our daily walks and outings! If you don't see the availability you need in the calendar please feel free to reach out. I have experience caring for my own dogs and understand how important it is to have someone reliable and attentive looking after your fur baby. I'm calm, responsible, and tuned into each dog's needs. Happy to follow your dog's routine and keep you updated so you feel at ease.
“Karolina is a wonderful sitter! I really appreciated how thorough she was with her photo updates. Tempura seemed to have really enjoyed his time with her and she was very friendly and professional in all the communications. Would recommend!”

“Tierney was fantastic with my dog, in addition to being reliably on time and very responsible. Her communication and response time were also terrific, which I appreciate. Will def call on her again next time I need help!”

“Athena was so great with our pup Fred! We needed some help with daily walks while my wife was out of town for work and I had shoulder surgery. We will def be booking with her again in the future 😊”

“Hannah was an amazing dog walker for my 3.5 month old Yorkie Winnie! Hannah was also my first Rover and I was so happy to have chosen her! She was on time, walked/ran Winnie for the full hour, and my puppy came back to me so happy and exhausted. Hannah told me that despite Winnie being super fearless, she made sure she didn't get dangerously close to any huge dogs:) Definitely will be calling you again Hannah, thank you so much!!!!”

“Andrew did a great job handling my high energy dog and took her for a long walk with his dog. He communicated well with us during the day and we are happy to have a sweet neighbor that we can rely on for last minute walks when my partner and I have long work days.”

About: I grew up surrounded by dogs + cats and I’m a natural with small and midsize pups—tailored play, cuddles, and calm, grounded energy to match their vibe. As an active Ocean Park walker, I keep them exercised, happy, and stress‑free, whether it’s a couch‑potato lap dog or a spirited explorer. I also care for cats and birds, with experience giving meds, keeping litter boxes and habitats clean, and leaving homes immaculate. With vet‑tech experience and a HIPAA‑level respect for privacy and routines, I follow your instructions carefully so every pet feels safe, seen, and well‑cared for. Woof! I generally work from home, so I’m around to walk dogs almost anytime of the day. I am fairly open in the mornings and late afternoons and early evenings. My home is a one bedroom apartment with a pretty big living room so it’s very suitable for cats or a medium size to small dog. animals will not share this place as I only have one animal each time.
About: I grew up with cats but have taken care of numerous dogs throughout my life. I have experience with all sizes and temperaments, including seniors, special diets, anxiety-prone pups and routine-focused households. During the week I'm usually working in an Art Gallery in Inglewood where dogs are allowed. Working remotely is also possible. On the weekends im working in Retail on Abbot Kinney. I would love to discuss the schedule with you. Currently I'm house and pet sitting only. My apartment doesn't allow pets but I have no problem with moving into your home to make it as comfortable as possible for your fur-baby. I don't have a car, so it should be close to Venice Beach, walkable preferred.
About: I've had experience with dogs since I was 8 years old. My childhood dog, a golden retriever named Kellsey, lived to be 14 years old and I was involved with everything having to do with her care. I now have a 6 year old goldendoodle who I have raised since he was a puppy. I can't wait to meet your pup and give them the same love and care that I give my own! I am also extremely detail-oriented and follow directions well - if you include it, it will absolutely get done! I work remotely and have a flexible work schedule so am able to take time out to visit or walk your pet. For walks, I will also have my dog (40 lb goldendoodle) with me - pack walks are the best! I take safety and trust very seriously and want all clients to feel comfortable. I walk my own dog everyday and am familiar with how to have a fun and safe walk! For drop-in visits, I will make sure to follow all instructions so you feel confident in the care your dog or cat is getting.
Venice dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kevin is THE BEST!! I have a Husky who can be a little crazy on the leash so I always worry. I had to travel for 24 hours and asked Kevin to come walk and check on Mac a few times. He was super communicative which made me feel that Mac was in good hands and that I could trust him to keep Mac safe. I came back to a very happy, chill doggo :)

Nicholle was extremely communicative and helped us out with dog walks last minute. I felt confident that the dogs were well taken care of, and she helped bring in packages and top up their water too. She was even understanding when I ended up canceling one of our scheduled walks last minute. Thanks Nicholle!

Nick is great!! Sweet guy, easy going and great communication. I have two Shar Pei and he handled them beautifully. Dialed-in to the dogs and physically strong which puts me at ease since you never know what you can encounter on walks around Venice. Will for sure hire him again. 5 stars!

My dog Hope had a wonderful first walk with her. She was able to help us on short notice, which we really appreciated, and she took Hope out for a full hour with great care and attention. Even though it was her first time walking Hope everything went smoothly and we felt completely satisfied. Hope came back happy, calm, and well cared for. I’d gladly book with her again.
