About: Hey, I’m Anthony! I’ve been around animals since I was born. Grew up on a mini farm and took care of countless of dogs, as well as cats. I actually have a Siamese cat! I’ve always felt so connected with animals my entire life and most (if not all) pets of friends/family love me :) I’ve also watched a lot of pets in my life from time to time, whether it’s for a friend, neighbor, or family member. I work part-time at the moment and I have a lot of time on my hands, aside from work and occasional hobbies. My work schedule is given out a month in advance, so I always know when I’m available in the future and when I’m not. I've had cats since 4 years of age and have had a minimum of 1 dog in my household since the age of 6. Aside from my own animals, I have house and animal sat before, including for 2 greyhounds, many cats, a bunch of Labradors, horses, and more. Growing up, there was always some kind of animal around: dogs, cats, fish, parakeets, and even chickens, ducks, and cows when I spent time with family in Laos. Being around these companions just been a normal and joyful part of life for me. One of the biggest reasons I'm here on Rover is because of my dog, Avery. Avery was my best friend for many years and taught me so much about patience, loyalty, and unconditional love. Since losing her, I've realized how much I miss having furry kids in my life and how much I genuinely enjoy caring for them. About: I have experience in the veterinary field through a veterinary science program that prepared me for pre-veterinary studies. I volunteered over 40 hours with the Chesterfield Humane Society (Virginia) as well with kennel cleaning, walking and play, administering medicine, etc. I acquired skills such as grooming, daily care to include feeding and walking, neonatal care, noticing problems and signs of distress, medicinal administration techniques, and I even have a yorkipoo and shihpoo of my own.
