“Amanda is absolutely wonderful! I’m so grateful I found her. She is super flexible and accommodating when I’ve had to make changes. She can handle my wild husky and I know that’s a skill!”

About: I have grown up with animals of all flavors since I was a young child. I truly enjoy the companionship of dogs and cats especially, given their friendly and assisting nature. That's why I have cared for other peoples dogs and cats over several times in the past 15 years. I have been with rover on and off for over 10 years now. I started it in Claremont, CA then I took a break for about 7 months because I was moving around. I spent some time in Louisiana, Upstate NY and am now back in California and ready to play with some lovely furbies (fur babies aka dogs and kitties). I love fur babies so much and having them around is more of an enjoyment than a "Job". If I am watching over your home as well, I am always interested in leaving spaces cleaner than when I found them so feel free to let me know how you would like things to be done in your home. Do you want the trash taken out on a certain day? Are you expecting friends or family to be coming by? Are your pets allowed on your furniture? And any other tasks I can fulfill while there to ensure that your pet and/or home are safe, clean and enjoyable for your return. As an avid animal lover, I’ve had my own dog and several fancy rats in the past and have cared for several of my friends' reptiles. With that said, I am also open to taking care of animals of other species with extensive direction. I’m a pretty active person but can also adapt to whatever your furry friend needs. I thoroughly enjoy playing with animals whether it’s a long walk with your pup or playing with a laser pointer with your cats, I know we will both have a great time. How I care for your pets will strongly depend on how you typically want your pets cared for. I know that animals typically enjoy routine so I try not to stray too far from instruction given, whether that is specific times for play or even specific training. The more you communicate your animals needs the better I can ensure they have an enjoyable stay. I do not give references from other pet parents. In the 10+ years that I have been on Rover, I’ve had over 50 new bookings and I’ve been asked for references twice. Feel free to read through my reviews- I think they speak for themselves. Otherwise, I look forward to chatting with you.
“Larry was amazing! Took our pup out for a solid 1+ hour walk everyday on our 2 week vacation abroad. Our dog clearly felt comfortable and happy with him. He even bought him booties because the side walk was hot!”

About: I’ve had animals since I was really young. I even know how to take care of horses. I started riding when I was about 5. I went to my first horse show when I was 13. Animals have always been such a big part of my life. I currently own a chi-weenie named Mateo, he’s now 11. Mateo is super sweet and smart, I’ve taught him tons of tricks. I have worked in doggy daycare and most recently a bather in Sacramento so work I have with tons of dogs on a daily basis. I may be willing to give your dog a bath for a lil extra money just ask about my prices :) Im pretty open scheduled. Am looking for work so that may change in the near future, but as of now book to your heart's desires. I make sure to communicate with my Pet parents to ensure the animals needs are cared for and ask if there anything they need done.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs around me all of my life. My great grandfather had 11 and my grandparents have 5. My grandparents are owners of a champion show dog. Through them I’ve learned proper training on handling/approaching a dog. I like to take care and handle of dogs with the love and affection they deserve. I am a hard working individual and like to keep myself busy with work which is perfect for your pooch who needs all of the love and attention. I believe that dogs can really affect a persons life in a positive manner. I believe its also an owners duty to bring positivity and joy into their dogs life. Dogs can teach someone not just responsibility but basic human character.
About: Hello my name is Brooke! I’ve spent years caring for and training my own dog, which has given me a deep understanding of dog behavior, communication, and positive reinforcement. I’m especially comfortable with larger breeds and dogs that need a little extra patience and structure. What sets me apart is my calm, confident approach and genuine love for animals. I treat every pet like my own; making sure they feel safe, loved, and understood. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure each dog gets the attention and care they deserve. I'm currently working part-time which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets and spend quality time with them. My schedule allows me to do walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during most mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I always make sure pets get the attention and consistency they need while their owners are away. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping them comfortable, happy, and on their usual routine. In my home, dogs have a calm, safe space to relax, regular walks, playtime, and lots of love. I make sure they always have fresh water, a cozy spot to rest, and plenty of attention. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow their care instructions closely, from feeding schedules to favorite toys and walking routes. I always treat each home and pet with respect, keeping things clean and making sure your furry friend feels safe and cared for while you’re away.

I love to get to know the personalities of all the pets that I come into contact with. :) I'm currently working part-time so I have more than enough time for all your pet care needs. About: I’ve had very much experience sitting for family and friends pets throughout the past 6 years. I do also have experience working with animals through volunteering at an animal shelter for about a year and a half. As of now, I am working in a vet clinic as a veterinary assistant. I am working my way to become a registered veterinary technician! I do have a dog of my own, he is two years old so he is very energetic! I always make sure to take him on walks before I go to school or work! My grandparents do also have a dog which I will always check on and walk as well! Not only do I have my own personal pet care but I also care for pets while I’m working as a veterinary assistant. My dog does get his regular walks and playtime since he’s still a puppy. I always assure he’s well fed, has fresh water and will sometimes give him specific enrichment toys. I always assure the same goes for my grandparents dog, although she is on the older side, I care for her very well.
About: I have about 7 years of pet handling experience from my own animals to volunteering at animal shelters in LA. I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages, from puppies to seniors. I have gained experience from my own dogs, one of which was blind and deaf. With over 250 hours volunteering at my local city animal shelter, I gained additional experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs. I cannot wait to meet your furry friend! I currently have a very flexible schedule. I am usually busy on the weekends, but I could make myself free if I am given enough notice. When caring for a client’s pet, safety is very important to me. Following the owner’s rules and ensuring your pet is cared for and loved while you are away is my number one priority :)

About: Hi, I'm Pam and I'd love to meet your furry family member! I've worked with animals my whole life. I've been arounds dogs of all sizes and breeds, cats, birds, fish and even reptiles and have pet sat for friends and family for many years. I used to do volunteer animal photography for a local rescue. I had to get to know all the animals I was doing photos of and would help walk them occasionally to get to photo sites. In rescues, animals can be under a lot of stress and have a lot of stimulation. I learned how to read their temperaments so that I knew the best way to handle them in order to keep them and myself safe and everyone happy. I still do photography, especially of animals. So you can expect some fun pictures every time =) I currently work from home, so I can usually fit in pet care through out the day. Let me know what kind of schedule you need! “Mario was fantastic with Luna! He’s very communicative, responsible, takes tons of photos and give updates frequently. I needed someone to help me with walking Luna while I was at work and despite her being a handful, he was incredibly kind, patient, and undaunted by the task. I highly recommend him if you ever need someone to care for your fur babies.”

Lexi it’s the best! She has such a beautiful heart and she takes a really good care of dog Maple. She went above and beyond, she made Maple’s walks so fun. The best part about Lexi is that she updated me about Maple and his walk. I would definitely call her again to watch Maple and walk him, Maple loves her!! Great job!

Phil and Lauren always take great care of Penny. They are very patient with her and treat her like family. I always know that Penny is happy and safe with them. Their dog, Indiana, is very easy going and is the perfect companion for Penny. Overall, I can’t recommend them enough!

Lyndsay came to walk my dog Azuki for the first time while I was visiting my mother, and I’m so grateful to have found someone trustworthy and communicative. She let me know when she was on her way and again when she arrived, which made handing Azuki off so easy. I feel confident I can count on her if I’m ever in a pinch or even if I decide to set up something long-term. :) Thanks Lyndsay!

Paula went above and beyond caring for my dogs. She took them on daily walks, gave them treats, and sent thoughtful updates with great photos. Her detailed remarks gave me total peace of mind, and it was clear my dogs were in excellent hands. She’s reliable, caring, and truly exceptional!
