About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. When I didn’t have my own, I always took care of my friends and family dogs. I have always had a special relationship with each individual pup, and I would love to get to know all the quirks and needs of your precious dog(s). My family’s dog is named Cali, and she is truly my best friend. She is in New York now, so I cannot see her as much and am needing some doggy attention from others in the mean time. I know what it is like to feel nerves leaving your dog and making sure they feel safe and happy, and I hope to create that same environment for your dog. I am a post college graduate who majored in social work, and I have always had a need to care for others. My most recent experience is spending the past two months house sitting for 3 amazing dogs. One was elderly and the others were two big puppies. I hope to continue this summer having fun with new fluffy friends and making sure you can enjoy any vacation, obligations, or other activities knowing your loved ones are in good hands. I am currently doing a gap year before I head to do my master’s degree in New York City. That means I have loads of flexible time to perform pet care and work on your time! I expect to know at least 3 days before. Making sure pets are understood and supported is my biggest priority. Being in a new environment or with a new person is scary and overwhelming. It’s important for me to understand their needs and big feelings before putting them in different situations. I treat everyone’s dog like my own-meaning loads to attention, cuddles, playtime, walks, talks, and treats. It’s important for dogs to not just be taken care of at the bare minimum-but to be enriched, active, and engaged when I am around.

I'm currently a student with 1.5 - 3 hours of class per day. Taking care of my pet and your pet fits naturally into my daily routine. I ensure my daily routine allows me to actually be present with my pup and the animals I’m caring for, not just squeeze them in between other commitments. On weekends, my schedule is even more flexible, so I can accommodate longer walks, park trips (if you’re comfortable with that), and extended stays. Overall, I treat your pet’s care like a priority, not an afterthought. I plan my day around their needs so they get reliable, loving attention and you get peace of mind while you’re away. Safety and trust are my top priorities. And I treat your pet the same way I treat my own pup: with patience, respect, and a lot of care for the details that keep them happy and secure. I have a friendly resident pup, so I do slow, supervised introductions to make sure everyone feels safe. I watch body language closely and will always prioritize a calm, positive first meeting. If anyone seems overwhelmed, I separate, redirect, and give them space instead of forcing interaction. I keep a pet-safe environment: - Leashes are always used outside or in unsecured areas. - Doors and gates are checked and closed so no one can slip out. - Food, trash, and anything unsafe (chocolate, meds, etc.) stay well out of reach. - No access to toxic foods or plants - Trash secured and small objects kept out of reach - Doors and windows checked and locked before playtime Feeding is always supervised, and I never free-feed multiple dogs together. I separate pets during meals and high-value treats to avoid any resource guarding or tension. I follow your instructions on crate use, furniture rules, feeding routines, and treats. If your dog prefers their own crate or bed, I’ll make sure they have a quiet spot to relax and decompress away from extra stimulation. There’s always time built in for bathroom breaks, exercise, play, and just as importantly—rest. In your home: When I’m caring for your pet in your space, I follow your house rules and routines. I stick to the schedule you give me for walks, meals, meds, and playtime, so your pet’s day feels familiar and predictable. I double-check doors and gates, keep leashes and harnesses secured, and always monitor them closely on walks—no risky off-leash time unless you’ve specifically requested it and it’s in a safe area. Communication & peace of mind: You’ll get regular photo updates and honest notes about how your pet is doing—eating well, bathroom habits, energy level, anything I notice—so you can relax knowing they’re not just “okay,” they’re truly cared for. I’m patient, kind, caring and very good with any and all special care needs for younger or older pets. I’m currently working part time and remotely from my home so I have a lot of time and flexibility / openings daily as may be needed. About: I've taken care of my family's dogs for the past 5 years. I have stayed overnight at friends, family members and my boss house and genuinely have a deep and loving connection with all dogs. I love walking dogs and love playing with them, from Tibetan Terriers and Wheatens, Huskies to mutts - I've taken care of them all! I am currently available to work full time and can make almost all things work! I also care deeply for the pets and want to be there for them at the time that is best for them aka work around their schedules! I am very attentive and present with the animals. I have never met a dog or cat I didn't like. My apartment is animal friendly, smoke-free, and ready to become a safe home away from home for your pet with lots of nap spots. About: I grew up taking care of pets! My childhood dog Olivier was an unusual mix; he was an eye-catching, mutant-sized Dachshund who got a lot of attention walking down the street, and we had a couple of independent-minded kitties. My family still has multiple dogs and cats. I absolutely adore dogs and feel strongly about tuning in to who they are - if they want to play, it's on! If it's a shy guy or gal, I respect their space if and until they feel more comfortable. I facilitate healing workshops and I'm an artist with a variable schedule that I keep up-to-date on my Rover calendar. I'm currently living in a building that doesn't allow dogs and I love cats but am super allergic. So daily pet care for me is making friends with and greeting my doggy neighbors. When I've had pets or boarded them previously with Rover, I always make sure to find out the basics of their personality from you, their favorite human.
